River Sawyer belonged to no one and nowhere. With those thoughts, she fled the only home she’d ever known in her grandmother’s broken-down car. River hoped to make it to the ocean, but the vehicle had other ideas and gave its last shudder on a lonely, deserted road.
When a friendly couple picked her up and drove her to Crawdad Beach, River wasn’t sure if she’d entered the twilight zone or paradise. There was no way people could be this kind. Or could they?
Sammie Banks stayed busy working at Doohickeys Hardware Store, taking online college courses, and helping his parents on their farm during his off hours. His life was basically full and satisfying. However, something was missing. Or maybe it was someone.

Nobody but God can do the impossible! As River experienced, He is a deliverer. What man means for evil, God can flip the script. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was truly inspiring.
I took a Sunday afternoon and traveled to my favorite place, Crawdad Beach. My travel agent was Lisa Buffaloe, and she made sure I had a memorable trip. She arranged experiences that made me laugh out loud, cry, pause and examine my own heart, and give praise to my wonderful, loving God. Her novels, this one included, are well written with wonderful characters, exceptional settings, and plots that draw you in. The only thing certain in her writings is God will be glorified and the ending will be happy. I HIGHLY recommend this book.
