Up to Snow Good

Rate this book
A winter holiday, small town, grumpy x sunshine romance, from Amazon Charts bestselling author of Forever My Protector. For fans of Beauty and the Beast, this novella will have you laughing out loud while also getting you in the holiday spirit.

You’d think being the best man at your friend’s wedding would be fun.

But then you’re introduced to the bride’s best friend and asked to help plan the whole affair. With said maid of honor who was extra cheery and loved weddings almost as much as she loved Christmas.

Did I mention it was a Christmas Eve wedding and I hated this time of year?

So now I was stuck in a small town called Silver Springs where everyone knew each other and insisted on spreading holiday joy working closely with a woman who I swore could be Mrs. Claus.

If that wasn’t bad enough, I was spending so much time in this town straight out of a movie that I thought I might be confused because. . . it was sort of growing on me.

Yall. I love Christmas. Like BIG love Christmas. This book put me right in my seasonal feels, and was so cute!

The scene was absolutely set for a perfect Hallmark Christmas town, and I want to visit! Actually sad it doesn’t exist.

Beau showing up for his people and especially Izzy with Santa. I cannot!! 🥹 Cinnamon Roll to the NINES. And let’s face it, we love a bearded man!

Izzy & Beau were the perfect Hallmarky goodness. The tension was limited and honestly, I loved it! I get so used to reading books where I’m in anxiety for the whole ride 😆

Get your cocoa and Christmas music READY cuz this book is just an ultimate vibe 🎄

I'm getting into the holiday spirit with Up to Snow Good by Dani Ryan! It perfectly captures those cozy small-town vibes that I adore this time of year. I was especially thrilled to discover the subtle retelling of Beauty and the Beast, one of my favorite classic tales. And of course, the grumpy x sunshine trope is always a win for me! Told from dual points of views, these two are going to keep you reading nonstop until the last page!

What really caught me off guard was how much Bo despises Christmas. Yes, he's in a Christmas romance, and yet he's totally anti-holiday! He immediately reminded me of a certain grouchy, green character we all know-the Grinch! Bo definitely channels that grinchy energy, but just like with the Grinch, there might be more to him than meets the eye. Bo is all about his work, with no time for holiday magic or much of anything else. Meanwhile, Izzy, the heroine, is a cheerful, light-hearted beauty who embraces the magic of the season.

Nothing brings two people together quite like a wedding, though! Bo's best friend is getting married, and Izzy just so happens to be the bride's maid of honor. As they tackle wedding tasks, the two start emailing each other, and what begins as pleasant communications, gradually grows into a charming friendship. I loved watching their connection develop.

If you're a fan of playful banter and fun holiday activities, don't miss this one! From cake tasting to party planning, and even an ugly sweater contest, the chemistry between Bo and Izzy was wonderful and I loved the slow burn. Bo and Izzy's journey is a delightful holiday read! For fans of Beauty and The Beast, you’ll love the quotes, and enjoy finding some other characters from the story make an appearance. I wish the story was a little longer because I didn’t want it to end!

Thank you Dani for this advanced copy of your book. I enjoyed reading it and sharing my thoughts of the book with others!

This book was so good! Perfect for this time of the year!
The small town vibes were immaculate and this was one of the best GRUMPY x Sunshine combos I have ever read! I know this book has beauty and the beast undertones(✨beautiful touch✨) but ya know what else it reminded me of?

TH TH THE GGGRINCH!

I mean.. Bo was literally sooooo grumpy and absolutely hated Christmas and I LOOOVVEDD every stinkin’ minute of it!! He’s so grouchy and uptight that whenever he does finally come around it just melted me 🥹🤌🏼
& Izzy? She did such a good job of pushing this stubborn grouchy beast out of his comfort zone and helping him realize that his Grandmaw would want more for him.
I also really enjoyed how the author, Dani, made Izzy a bit more headstrong and sure of herself and Bo was the one kind of needing guidance, reassurance, and love.

Overall, I really enjoyed this cute holiday small town rom com. The banter was great, the sassiness was 10/10, and the epilogue?! THE EPILOGUE DANI!!! … I can’t wait to read more about Izzy and Bo, but most importantly Flynn and Zel!

Thank you to the author, Dani Ryan, for this BETA copy.
This is, as always, my honest opinion🩷

I felt myself skimming alot its a hard one.... the characters and small town were brilliant.... i wasnt overly sold on the (Disney) beauty and beast integration.... if its a retelling i prefer it to be related to the source rather than Disney (chip, Gaston the Rose....the Librarian) Also the Author seems to focus on a lot of filler at times.... I read nearly 4 pages on how the heat of beverages should be in an intimate conversation.... not someone training to be a Barista....

Like i said the characters were brilliant.... and the small town vibes, but the rest fell a bit short for me personally but if you Love Disney this book is for you!

Bo & Izzy’s story is perfect for those who love grumpy x sunshine, Beauty & the Beast, and Hallmark Christmas movies.

Stars: 4/5
Spice: 0/5 (Closed-Door)

Izzy is maid of honor at her best friend’s Christmas wedding, and Bo is the best man. They have to work together to plan the wedding. She loves weddings, and he hates being stuck in this small town full of Christmas spirit.

This was a quick read, perfect for the season. I love Beauty & the Beast, so I loved seeing all the little nods to the story with Bo & Izzy. This book felt like a cozy retelling of Beauty & the Beast you’d see in the Hallmark Countdown to Christmas movie lineup. All I needed was a plate of Christmas cookies and a cup of hot chocolate. It was a slow burn full of cute & sweet little moments. So if that’s your jam, you should read this one!

This was a delightful and humorous romantic comedy that made for an easy and quick read. Perfect for anyone who enjoys holiday-themed books, it's also a great palate cleanser. I absolutely loved it! The story features a cheerful Christmas enthusiast and a grinch who can't stand the holiday. Together, they plan a Christmas wedding for their best friends, and she's determined to change his mind about the magic of Christmas.

Very Beauty & the Beast vibes but also grinchy vibes for Mr.
Bo but Izzy doesn't skip a beat with her contagious Holiday Spirit. Definitely a nice quick read for the upcoming Holiday.

Beauty and the Beast + The Grinch .. two of my favorite movies in a book … how could I not love this?!

I absolutely adored everything about Up to Snow Good. Izzy is the small town girl who loves Christmas and has sunshine vibes while Bo is the grump who is the city boy who doesn’t like Christmas. Although they are complete opposites we find them working well together as maid of honor and best man for their best friends’ wedding, well that is as the story goes on. The chemistry between Izzy and Bo was a slow burn, but so good at the same time. This book offered all the cozy, festive feels of Christmas time.

Thank you @daniryanbooks for the opportunity to receive your novella early and review it! I can’t wait for the next one!

I was an ARC reader for this book via haylingbookstormpr, thank you for the opportunity!

The best way I can think to describe this book is like a Hallmark Christmas movie where one of the characters has a big important job in a big city and doesn’t care for Christmas or small towns. It’s also kind of a Beauty and the Beast retelling.

It was cute but kind of unrealistic, like you go to one Christmas party and suddenly you love Christmas? It just felt a bit forced. Bo and Izzy realizing they had feelings for each other felt a little abrupt.

I see this book has mostly 4-5 star reviews, so don’t let me discourage you from reading this! It’s a good short read for Christmas time.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 (and honesty an infinity of stars if I could)
Well, when life gives you 2 hurricanes, exams and loads of assignments, you take a break and read THE BEST Christmas book of this year. Up To Snow Good by Dani Ryan has to be one of my favorite closed door romances I have read in a long time. It is a dream come true modern day Christmas Beauty and the Beast and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Even though its not the season to be Fa la la la-ing yet, this book had me grinning from ear to ear while I sat and made hot chocolate (and not the powdered stuff thats easy to find in stores).
This story is about the most beautiful sunny Christmas geek Izzy. She was truly a delight to meet and to get to know. She had so much energy love and joy for the holiday spirit and those around her that I was laughing so much at her witty personality and joy she spread. Bo or Bo the Grumpo as I named him in my mind, is our resident grump of the season. The story follows these two grumpy and sunshine lovers through a challenge neither of them think they are up for… wedding planning. It gave off the classic vibe of somewhat friends to lovers, learning to trust each other, good communication (when they aren’t arguing of course) and the giddiness that “they’re maybe something there that wasn’t there before” as they learn to work together and make a magical day and evening for their friends.
This book is perfect for the upcoming holiday season! The author did an incredible job creating the classic, cozy Halmark Christmas vibe we all know and love, but with a twist. I felt like I had known Izzy all my life and that I was literally the elf on the shelf with a bowl of popcorn for the entire story, following her around. Bo was sweet once he let his pride and grumpo status fade, but honestly he was a delight with it too, I’ve always had a soft spot for the grumpy ones. The characters felt more real and genuine in my opinion instead of going through the motions that some stories do. Their whit, banter and emails brought a smile to my face every time I swiped the page!
So, go grab your copy of Up To Snow Good for this upcoming holiday season! You won’t regret it!

Attention all my Christmas lovers: If you're looking for a cute Christmas romance novella to add to your holiday reading list, this is the one for you! Up To Snow Good is a perfect blend of Beauty and the Beast, The Grinch, and the best cozy small town Hallmark Christmas romance.

Bo and Izzy are complete opposites. Bo is a soon to be CEO from New York who is extremely hardworking and work driven. He's been hurt in the past by love and has no need or desire to ever find it again. He's happy when he's left alone and immersing himself in his work. However, he does love his best friend, so when he's asked to be the best man at his upcoming wedding, of course he agrees. He even agrees to work with the maid of honor to make sure that the wedding is the best it can be. Even if the maid of honor is extra bubbly and smiley and in love with Christmas...

Izzy is a charming, sweet, small town girl who loves her community as much as her romance books. She owns the local bookstore in her small town and when she's not catching up with her friends, she can be found cozied up at home with a peppermint hot cocoa in her hands. She's incredibly excited to be her best friends maid of honor and takes her job very seriously. The best man is a bearded Grinch, but that doesn't deter her. In fact, once she gets to know him a bit more, she begins to realize that he's not so bad after all. She's determined to melt that icy grumpy exterior of his and show Bo that with a little Christmas magic, his small heart can grow three sizes and have room for her inside of it.

The chemistry between them grows gradually and naturally, the banter is top tier, and all of the characters (even the side ones!) leave a lasting impression. Given that this is a novella, I found that to be incredibly impressive! Dani knocked it out of the park with this one 🤍

Thank you so much to Dani for the opportunity to read this amazing story!!

I was excited to get an ARC from Dani
I needed more Christmas stories in my life especially when my December Hoilday-thon I plan on doing. So I knew I had to read this adorable little story.

This is a novella not a full book but it was absolutely amazing in every single way. The Beauty and The Beast references made my heart so happy.

Bo
Doesn't believe in love and thinks anyone who claims to be in love is lying that they just decided this would be the person they settle with. Their conscious decision to love one another instead of it being magical. He takes pride in being a realist but deep down he's just a softy who needs someone to show him how to appreciate joy and understand love.

Izzy
She is best friends with the bride to be and the maid of honor. She is a ray of aunshine smiling every chance she gets. Even with Bo's lack of enthusiasm doesn't stop her. She believes in happily ever after and so badly wants to find her own. She believes she will know it when she sees it. She is beautiful and wanted by everyone but she is kind and caring. Her favorite hoilday is Christmas and absolutely nothing will stop her from teaching Bo how to appreciate it. She's kind, caring and very stubborn.

I absolutely love reading this story and watching them fall in love. It was a slow burn but it was more in the getting to know each other and fall for eachother and not the frustrating type where you just scream kiss already! It was absolutely sweet and watching them become friends then more made me so happy.

Him being so serious yet so internally excited made me giggle. He really is a sweet heart just like our first love Beat from Beauty and The Beast.

This was such a touching and heart warming story. The grump and sunshine stories always make me smile. The ending especially made me tear up.

This story is a perfect little Christmas story to get you in the Hoilday feeling.

Thank you again for letting me read your amazing story!

⭐⭐⭐/5

Up to snow good by Dani Ryan is a sweet, cute, short holiday romance, envisioned in a form of beauty and the beast retelling.

So the good parts... I liked the plot. The characters were likable. The story is the definition of grumpy meets sunshine. With the small town setting and the holiday romance, it definitely had that hallmark christmas movie vibe, which I actually enjoy from time to time. I liked that it is a quick read, rather than straining it like a rubber band. The author did a good job blending the not so good past of the beast according to the setting of the book, which was a plus point. And I loved how the story came to an end.

Now for the not so good parts...  I felt it was as unrealistic as those hallmark holiday romance movies I mentioned earlier. I don't think a guy like the MMC( note, the epitome of grumpiness) would change his opinions about everything he thought he hated in a whim of a hand. I know it's a quick read and all, but it was too fast. Also, because of that I felt like their attraction to each other was forced. That just because they are MCs, they have to be together. I think it would have worked if there was more time for them to develop the feelings. Maybe again because it was a quick read ( A fact I love, but in this case it affected the book badly!)

Up to Snow Good by Dani Ryan is a sweet, cute, hallmark-y holiday romance, that even with its flaws, definitely worth a read. I do think the MCs have potential for  chemistry, but needed more time to develop those feelings.

And if these tropes excite you,
❄️Small Town
❄️Grumpy X Sunshine
❄️She Falls First
❄️He Falls Harder
❄️Corny Christmas Phrases
❄️Holiday Read
❄️Sweet Romance
Then definitely try this.

Thank you Author Dani Ryan, and Hayling Bookstorm PR, for sending me this ARC. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁: A holiday setting retelling of beauty and the beast, set in a cute small town of Silver Springs. If you like opposites attract this ones for you because these two MCs couldn’t be any more different, but they learn to work together to plan a wedding for their besties. If you love holiday vibes and seeing the grinch’s heart grow this one’s for you.

Bo was burned in his last relationship and learned it’s better to seal yourself off than let others in. He is now a successful businessman and about to become CEO of his family’s business. This will make him the most eligible bachelor in NYC. But before that happens he has been recruited to plan his best friend wedding in a small town called Silver Springs. He’s been paired up with the maid of honor, and she just gets under his skin so this is going to be interesting.

Izzy is sunshine in a bottle she loves her small town, the holidays and most importantly her best friend. She is on a mission to plan the perfect wedding and she will not let the anti-fun best man get in her way. So when Bo comes into town for a few weeks before the Christmas Eve wedding she puts on a smile and gets to work.

Come see how these two tackle tasks like cake tasting, party planning and evening attending the town’s ugly seater competition. Make sure to read this one to see how this unfolds!

"It's a tale as old as time....
Beast meets girl and girl shows him what it's like to truly be loved....It's an enchanting tale."

I liked this story with its Beauty and the Beast, Grumpy Vs Sunshine, Opposites attract vibe. It's a novella, so it has to pack a whole story in a shorter read. But I feel like it did just that. I was a little bit of a slower burn because the two main characters were so different in the very beginning. But give it time, and the feelings will show up, and no matter how hard they try deny them... they are going to have to embrace it at some point.

When Bo agrees to come back to town to help with his best friends wedding, he didn't quite know what all he had signed up for. Working so long, and so often with Izzy, the maid of honor may have been a lot more than he bargained for. He wants to just get through the wedding prep and head back home to New York for his new position in the family company. Izzy is not having his grumpy, reserved behavior and is not accepting any excuses. She is determined to cure Bo from his holiday hatred and even win him over to liking her hometown. But what neither of them anticipate is the fact that after this wedding planning is over, they may win over each other. But is a match like theirs possible? She's staying in her small town, he is to return to his city life and resume his business. Can there be a future beyond the wedding plans?!

Sweet story! I received a complimentary copy of this story, the review is all my own opinion.
For me, this was a 3.5, that I rounded up to a 4 star rating. I WOULD recommend this story.

Before I begin, I would like to thank Dani Ryan for allowing me to read her upcoming book, Up to Snow Good, which will be available on Amazon on October 8th, 2024.

Bo is the best man at his friend’s wedding. Here’s the thing. He has to work with the bride’s maid of honor, the cheeriest lady he has ever met that almost loves weddings as much as she does Christmas. It’s a Christmas Eve wedding, and he hates Christmas. In Silver Springs, everyone knows each other and loves the holidays, and Bo is just doing his best to survive the holiday cheer. Because what’s the worst thing that can happen? He could actually like it.

I absolutely adored this book. You have Bo, a successful, handsome, hardworking young man that grew up with stifling expectations and a pessimistic view of the holidays. You have Izzy, a beautiful, dedicated, driven young small business owner that loves Christmas, her community, and wants to throw the perfect wedding for her best friend. I loved the interactions between Izzy and Bo, especially as their relationship grew from wedding planners to more throughout the story. It was interesting seeing the different Christmas traditions Silver Springs had, and the banter between the main characters and their respective friend groups were enjoyable as well. Overall, if you like great banter, wonderful friend dynamics, Christmas festivities, grumpy x sunshine, small-town sweet romance with low amounts of spice, then I would highly recommend this book. **rating: 3.75/5**

This book is such a cute and delightful holiday novella that perfectly captures the festive charm of Christmas in a small town, paired with a classic grumpy sunshine romance trope. This heartwarming rom-com follows Bo Grant, a brooding, work-focused man who doesn't believe in happiness, the magic of the holidays, or love, and Izzy Monroe, his exact opposite, a cheerful optimist who loves everything life offers. They'll find themselves forced to interact together to plan their best friends' upcoming Christmas Eve wedding.

They'll start emailing professionally as the best man and maid of honor to plan the wedding for their best friends, but soon enough, they'll drop the professionalism and a little friendship will start blooming, to transform into a whole other thing the moment Bo will set foot in Izzy's cheerful little town Silver Springs.

The chemistry between them builds naturally, leading to the cutest get together by the end. I can't recommend this little book enough if you want a quick read, but make sure to have your hot cocoa ready and a fuzzy blanket to put you in the mood. I regret not being able to read this in winter, it's fall but the weather is still as hot as ever 😭

The pacing is quick, which suits the novella format, and the romance develops naturally despite the short length. I’m giving Up to Snow Good 3.75 stars—not because I didn’t enjoy the story (it’s clear how much I did through this review!), but because as a short novella, it lacks the deeper exploration I crave in longer works. Still, it’s a cozy, lighthearted holiday read with characters that left a lasting impression, perfect for a festive escape. Thank you Dani for sending me the ARC for this little book, I can't wait for Flynn's 🤭🤭

This was the perfect quick, holiday read! ESPECIALLY if you love Beauty and the Beast retellings.

Bo didn't have the picturesque childhood growing up. His parents didn't put much time into holiday fun once his grandma died so all he's known is work, work, work. He doesn't get close to anyone because he's not sure who he can trust. Enter Izzy, who is Christmas personified! She loves all things Christmas and is spewing positivity. They are put together to help plan their mutual friends Christmas Eve wedding and it is Izzy's mission to change Bo's views on life.

Dani did so amazing of bringing this retelling to life! At first I didn't even really think about the Beauty and the Beast relations until the Gaston of the story showed up and I started to put all the little clues together! Izzy is so sweet and has the most positive look on life and I loved that. I loved how Bo was his grumpy self but slowly let her in and accepted his fate, but in a fun way. Their Christmas activities once he's in Silver Springs were so fun to read about it made me want to have a big holiday party right now. This small town was so fun and I loved all the side characters throughout the story.

This grumpy/sunshine, small town romance is definitely a must for this holiday season!

Thank you Dani for having me as part of your team and this gifted copy to read in advance!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Up to Snow Good by Dani Ryan

A Beauty and the Beast inspired Holiday novella? SIGN ME UP.

Not only is Beauty and the Beast my favorite Disney movie, Christmas is my favorite holiday, and combining the two in a grumpy/sunshine romcom was PERFECTION.

It's not a retelling, but there are lots of elements that allude to the original story and I loved finding them sprinkled throughout the book; Bo isn't a literal beast, but he's a total grump at first who hates Christmas and I fell for him completely. He's sarcastic and churlish, but it all hides a heart of gold, and the way he opened up to Izzy made me melt.

Izzy is his complete opposite, the sunshine to his grumpy, obsessed with Christmas, and from a small town versus him being the big city boy, and I adored her. She owns a bookstore and love romance novels, a girl after my own heart! They complement each other so well, and the slow burn was perfectly executed; the ending hints at the next book, and I'm so excited to read it too!

If you enjoy Christmas-y romcoms with small town vibes, you'll definitely enjoy this one! I could just see myself reading this with a mug of hot chocolate, by the light of the Christmas tree, as it has all the cozy vibes.

Thank you so much to Dani Ryan for trusting me with a beta copy of this novella!

Hitting the festive reads a lot earlier this year with this brilliant Beauty and The Beast inspired Christmas Novella about Bo, a very grumpy, grinch like workaholic, who hates Christmas and well just anything joyful. He didn’t have the best upbringing.. a very strict, picture perfect parents refused to acknowledge any holidays as it “doesn’t go with the image we’re going for”

Then we have Izzy, the complete opposite, who makes everything look and feel like Christmas has threw up all over it. She’s fun, loving, cute, very festive and just a joy to be around (for everyone apart from Bo)
So Izzy is her best friend’s maid of honour for her Christmas Eve wedding and Bo is the best man, so together they have been given the challenge to organise this festive filled wedding… you can only imagine what is about to hit..

This is a really short story (less than 200 pages) which is filled with just enough to be able to full fill your festive needs!
Ever since I was a little girl I have been obsessed with Beauty and The Beast, so to read a book with the Disney films inspiration all over it, including some characters with characteristics from Gaston, some Chip references and some very popular quotes… made my day! I loved reading it and I have to say it definitely got me excited for Christmas now!

Thank you Dani for the opportunity to read and review this ARC ahead of release day!🩷

Christmas + Grumpy/Sunshine + All the Beauty and the Beast Vibes!? Yes, please! This story truly was a combination of some of my very favorite things... and I absolutely adored everything about it! Bo is a grump who doesn't like Christmas (you might say he's a little beastly) and Izzy brings the sunshine and Christmas cheer. Despite being polar opposites, the two find themselves working together as best man and maid of honor for their best friends' Christmas themed wedding, softening him up to her small town, the holidays and romance. While I wouldn't say this is direct Beauty and the Beast retelling, the vibes and references are very much there. They started out fairly subtle (I might have missed them had I not been looking) but become more obvious as the story goes on. As someone who absolutely loves Beauty and the Beast, I thought it was so perfectly woven into the story and I loved discovering all those little nods. The chemistry between Bo and Izzy was so good... the perfect slow burn (though it was a super quick read, so it didn't feel TOO slow). And of course, it has just the right amount of holiday cheer! We are also given a little peek at the MMC in the next book that has me very much looking forward to more in this series! I cannot wait.

Up to Snow Good is a closed-door romance with kisses only.

This novella was cute and delivered on its promise to be a nod towards “Beauty and the Beast” redone.

Bo is most certainly beast-like with his big city, high-powered executive ways who comes to small town USA for his best friend’s wedding!  The man personifies the black coffee he drinks!  He’s the biggest Christmas curmudgeon, second only to Scrooge or the Grinch!  Something he wasn’t planning on is having to plan most of the big day’s festivities with the perkiest ray of sunshine in the form of the maid of honor, Izzy!

Izzy is definitely has been sucking on a lot of candy canes to exude that much happy!  Ever the optimist, she is determined to flip Bo’s personality upside down!  Indeed, she does with helping him decorate a tree in his hotel room, drag him to an ugly Christmas sweater party and tree lighting event!  Izzy also must fend off the advances of an overly egotistical and flirtatious man named Gavin, who clearly can’t take a hint!  Way to stand your ground girl!

This is novella is ideal if you want quick holiday feels and get those Hallmark vibes!  I’m curious as to how the next Christmas novella will play out as those characters have been seen, even ever so briefly in his case!  I do love the wittiness of this title and seeing how strong the loyalties that the protags have with their best friends!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 🌶️

This sweet romance will definitely make you feel the Christmas vibes. A holiday wedding as our two MCs working together to support the bride and groom, but in working together, a romance blossoms. This book is also a quick read, so you can read it in one setting.

Bo is hardworking and driven as he is working towards a CEO position at his New York company. His focus is work and work alone, as he is not in a hurry to open his heart to anyone just to be hurt again. Izzy is everything Bo isn’t. She is small town, go with the flow, and do anything for your friends.

I adore Izzy and Bo. She is all sunshine, or Christmas spirit if you will, and he could put the Grinch to shame. As they are the maid of honor and best man in their friends upcoming wedding, they are working together to help anyway they can.

The romance is definitely a slow burn, but sizzles throughout the book. As these two grow closer together, experiencing the magic of Christmas together and Bo’s heart growing three sizes. Dani did a great job writing a story that puts you in the holiday mood and I am excited to see what story comes next in the series.

As always, review any author notes before reading.

I love Hallmark Christmas movies, and this is the perfect leadup to the season! Small town Christmas vibes abound as the grumpy NYC CEO falls for the sunshiney small town girl who loves everything festive. There's also a Beauty and the Beast undercurrent that I enjoyed (minus the imprisonment) that I wish would have been developed just a bit more.

This is a novella, so it's quick and to the point. You know exactly what you're going to get from the get-go, but that's what I want from this type of book. No major twists-it's all happily ever afters here!

This was a quick and fun read with all my favorite holiday elements. It's not for the cynical reader. But if you genuinely enjoy the Hallmark vibe, I think you'll like it.

There are a few plot points I wished were further developed. The Gaston character was less of a hindrance that I expected him to be, and something comes up halfway through that I thought was going to be a big deal but wasn't. But it's best not to think too deeply about that. Just enjoy this like a warm cup of cocoa in front of the Christmas Tree!
