This book has a collection of translated poems depicting denied love. It depicts a critical attitude to the way love tends to be expressed and felt, as well as the reasons and grounds for its analysis. The poems were written in the order that they are presented, allowing to see a cycle of interrelated dynamics in which the author is sometimes one of the characters and, in others, an observer. Within a posture of humility and simplicity, the poems reflect various perspectives, namely, the darkest stages of a romance. It’s another poetic work in response to the success of other writings by the same author.
Where I found myself “I found in love the invisible response of repeated pain. I found in peace the illusory lie of a transient truth. I found in us the lie of my words, fruits of voiceless thoughts. .... I found in mismatch the lack of reason in love, a result of who knows no other. I found in you who I never wanted for me a truth that in me I’ve not seen.”
Adrift “I feel as an empty boat aimlessly, lost,... a boat without sailor, seeking those who give him meaning to the undecided purpose, in the absence of reason which I envision being lost. I seek direction in this retreat in which I find myself rendered, thinking of you and only to you sold. .... A bad sailor I am for trusting demons that in my sea of emotions came and sacrificed everything least the soul that remained. This was all that remained.”
Há poemas bem interessantes, outros não apreciei tanto por achá-los sem nexo. Há também alguns erros gramaticais que enfraquecem o poema, mas que não chegam a comprometer a qualidade do poeta.
