I liked the book but did not like the domestic violence that occurred and was not addressed. Adrian punched Cooper in the face. He apologized for saying some mean things but not his resorting to violence with a loved one.

Story was okay, nothing really special about it to me. It doesn't read as long enough to be a stand alone book.
I read these as a palette cleanser when I'm in the middle of a particularly long series and I need to take a short break before diving back in. I like that they are "happy the end" stories that don't require me to invest in the characters.

"Gamma's Dive" by Blake R Wolfe is the third book in the "Tales of the Tellurian Pack" series. It's an M/M, fated mates, werewolf romance.
The story follows Cooper, one of the pack's gamma wolves and Adrian, a lone wolf that's in the area to study the creatures living in Lake Superior for his Marine Biology degree.
Their story is one of forbidden love, forced Proximity, insta-lust, and aquatic creatures threatening the children of Cooper's pack.
Ratings:
Overall: 3/5 hearts - I hate to say this but...I didn't love this book. I was able to finish it and at no point was I considering DNFing it. But, it has managed to put a sour taste in my mouth and I'm not planning to read the last two books in the series.
Peppers: 2/5 - There is some spice in this book and it starts at the beginning! But the scenes are scattered throughout the story.
Spice: 3/5 - The first spice scene had my expectations sky high. But the follow up spice just wasn't great. Overall, it's okay.
Plot: 3/5 - The plot was scattered and seemed a little forced. Almost like it was thrown together at the last minute.
Neither of the characters are likeable and honestly, both act incredibly childish for being in their mid to late 20s.
Spelling errors were frequent and that's not uncommon in Wolfe's books (I've read near a dozen) but the plot usually draws me in enough that I can easily overlook a mistake here or there.
But with this one, I was already getting irritated with the characters and the plot that every misspelling was like nails on a chalkboard.
Overall, I don't think this book is worth picking up unless you LOVED the past two books and wanted to continue the series.

I actually liked this more than the first two books. Yes, there was some back-and-forth between the main character and love interest, but they both craved each other and didn’t push each other away too much. Adrian was kind of nerdy and pushed all Cooper’s buttons in the best way. Cooper was nice from what we saw in previous books.
I think one thing I wished for was to get to know the characters more. Both had a lot of past issues and it would have been nice for them to open up to each other and even do some introspection. I would have liked to maybe see Adrian’s family visit or maybe him share a letter with Cooper. I also would have thought we’d see more of their jobs. I felt like not a ton happened besides the lake debacle and then them trying to navigate their relationship.
Some typos/inconsistencies:
The intro doesn’t even have the couples names right (says Cooper and Chance…)

Not my favorite.
I did enjoy the story of this book, but it's not my favorite. I liked the introduction of new species, but I didn't connect to the MCs in this book as well as the others. There is not much softness between them, and there are no pet names used. Also, mates is never mentioned in this book. Not once. That's a big difference from the rest of the series. Cooper mentions how good Adrian smells, but that's as far as it goes. When I read a fated mates story, I expect it to have fated mates... And another big thing that I took real issue with is Adrian hitting Cooper. He says some really hurtful things, too, out of anger and hurt, and he apologizes for that. But he doesn't apologize for hitting him, and that was something I couldn't let go.
As I've mentioned in my other reviews for this series, there's a lot of improvement needed with editing. This book had even more typos and errors. In the introduction from the author, before the book even begins, the author gets Cooper's partner wrong, saying Chance instead of Adrian. Chance is Kael's mate... Also, Adrian's wolf goes from being silver in the beginning to white later on.
I'm going to keep reading the series, but I've gotta take a break so I don't start getting so annoyed with the errors that it impacts how I like the story overall.

This series in general is so easy to read and gets you hooked quickly. The writing style of the author is pleasant and easy to digest. This book starts out spicier then the first 3 and has some more spice but with both MC being about 24 yo I wouldn’t expect anything less.
I enjoyed that we were introduced to some indigenous mythology in the story. These two MC had some harder times as younger wolves that lead to some of the conflict in the book. As much as I enjoy the characters and story, the length of the story does lead to some of the conflicts resolving rather quickly. This story’s main factor is trust and it is broken and broken hard. Then without much conflict all the characters realize they were wrong and needed to fix it. Forgiveness was alittle to easily given, but within the length of the story I can understand the choice to not make the story about the broken trust.
I enjoy that we are introduced to the next books one MC within the context of the current book while also letting the MC from earlier stories play an active role in the current story. It really helps to develop a sense of fluidity and connectivity that makes the story just easily flow together.

Who'd have thought this one will be the best of the series... So far, at least. Instead of stupid miscommunication and keeping things you just know will bite someone in the behind, there is talking. Instead of endless chase, there is explanation, instead of back and forth, we have a slow (but actually moving somewhere) dance. It's funny because the previous main characters didn't have as many reasons to keep things secret as this one did and yet he was the one with what I would consider the most mature relationship. Drama was replaced with understanding and caution was mixed with hope. And I should stop with the metaphors...
Good one is what I am saying, I was pretty frustrated at times with the previous two books so this was such a nice suprise. Hopefully it will continue in this direction moving forward.

Adrian is mysterious, hot and endearing. His story, which we discover through Cooper's eyes, is sad and poignant.
He finds it hard to trust, and understandably so, but Cooper is patient and perfect.
Sexy and tender, and a great work on trust for both heroes. A beautiful romance with fantastic creatures lurking in its pages.

This author and this pack are definitely growing on me. Author still needs a better editor or beta reader, but if the story is good, these can be overlooked.
And this story is good. Original. Fun, quick read. The main characters were immediately likeable, with sweet chemistry. By far the best Tellurian pack story.

Damaged Mates
Cooper had had a rough life and never believed that he would ever find a mate. When he first laid eyes on Adrian, he was immediately attracted to him. But Adrian had secrets. Their journey to find their happiness is convoluted and dangerous. This is the best story in the series so far.

This book has a good premise, but the execution isn't great. The book needs a few more rounds of editing and the character depth was a bit wonky. It's obvious Wolfe wants to make the characters feel real, but the type of depth is a bit YA (traumatic facts about characters) instead of actual character depth (how the characters make decisions, how they feel about other people's reactions, etc).

Me ha gustado mucho como evoluciona su relación, aunque como siempre me hubiera gustado conocer la perspectiva de Adrián.
La subtrama me ha tenido también intrigada hasta el final.

Well I do wish the unknown in this novel was expanded on a bit. I do still love the native American myth being written about. I just same as the other three wish there was more time in chapters. The description of characters backstories go too quick.

This would have been my favorite book of the series except for one part that had me wanting to rate it only one star. But I did enjoy the rest, so I upped it to two stars. I’ll explain below.
We’re back to a more of an action mystery like the first book in the series so it’s more interesting than just the romance. It has danger and a nearly fatal climax. The characters were interesting, especially Adrian’s secret about himself. The plot was less predictable and there was less angst and less self-hatred than in the other books except…
There was a huge problem. At one point one of them feels betrayed by the other and he hits him. That’s never okay, that’s domestic violence no matter what the deal is. But then when the guy who was hit goes to apologize for the betrayal, he says to himself:
Reaching up I touched the bruise on the side of my face. Maybe I’d let him hit me again. I definitely deserved it for being the biggest fucking jerk ever to exist.
Not only does the character never apologize for hitting him, it never comes up as a problem or something that shouldn’t have happened or should be apologized for. I am so sad for the author that he thinks this is okay. I hope this hasn’t happened to him. No one ever deserves to be hit. No one in a healthy relationship should ever think something like this let alone act upon it. This is not how mates should be. They definitely should not be together until these guys have some therapy. (Controlled consensual violence in a BDSM relationship is very different. Plus, I’ve never heard of a consensual fist to the face.)
Unfortunately the sex in these books are all the same, no variety. The first time it was hot because it was one MC’s first time. But the second was only moderately hot and the rest, being the same, have all fallen flat.
It looks like the next one is like the second, all about the relationship, so I probably won’t read it any time soon.
