I’ve killed more women than I can count. But this one is different.
I always start by stalking them. I follow them home, break into their rooms… like a predator ambushing unsuspecting prey. The thrill of the hunt makes me feel alive.
But Ember isn’t scared of me. She’s a fighter… and when I break into her room in the dead of night, she relishes every touch.
I know I should be done with her and move on to my next victim, but something stops me. I’m the masked man that lurks in the shadows – and she can’t get enough of me.
Every second spent watching her ignites a spark that threatens to grow into an inferno. I’ve already claimed her as mine… she just doesn’t know it yet.
Teresa Wolf’s favorite color? Morally grey. Her go-to cocktail? Toxic Behavior, served ice-cold. And her favorite food? Shadow Daddy.
Her mission? To craft fierce, confident heroines who bring even the most irresistible, walking-red-flag alpha males to their knees, begging, "Yes, please!" 🔥
So, grab your fan, because once you dive in, there’s no cooling off and no turning back.
Wolf’s stories are notorious for leaving readers breathless, satisfied, and always craving more…
I DNF this book at 43%. Now, this could've been a 4-star book, but I can't go on the MMC. It is a serial killer, which i don't mind at all.
But he's a killer who kills women. They aren't even bad women, just rich snobby women. He stalks them and kills them. That's his chase. It gives me the ick. I wish his taste were at least women who were pedos or something that earned them a death.
Like this time, he's so obsessed with the fmc, and she's just a regular person. He likes now that she's scared of him and the chase is different now. But I can't root for the guy anymore.
Wow what a dark web of secrets they spun OMG what a fantastic read I was on the edge of my seat through this book. You’ve got Ember who I really respect. She doesn’t wanna live off other peoples money. She works two jobs to get by. She doesn’t live in the best area but she’s doing it for herself. She has a best friend called Josh. one night, she feels like she’s been followed. By a man in a mask, but then she starts to notice different things in her flat. And when he finally breaks in, he makes her feel everything. Jaxton is a serial killer, and when he sets he sights on someone he doesn’t stop until she’s dead. But Ember is different, she intrigues him. He wants to know how she works so he stalks her and that’s all I want to tell you because you really got to read this book. If you’re into dark romances you have got to read this book I highly recommend it, because, once again there’s a twist and we get to see the real ember, it’s safe to say these two work off each other’s energy. The passion is fierce, but I felt that they were connected, that they were meant to find one another, but what happens when the secrets are told ???? Read this book.

Teresa Wolf never fails! Never. This book was absolutely up my alley and I loved and devoured it! This whole series is top notch! I want the physicals for my book shelf.
This felt like if Ted Bundy and Joe Goldberg had a baby.
Spoilers ahead!
I was a little iffy about the book at the start, then came around to it a little despite him fondly recalling raping and mudering his victims in the past (had it been detailed on page, I would have opted out). Then, the MMC tried to unlive his love interest, and that ruined the whole thing for me. I mean, I hated that he unalived women because he hated his mother (original, I know), but when he tried to kill Ember, I was done. Nope, nope.
3 🌟 stars, I guess? Probably more like 2.5 stars graciously rounded up.
I wasn't sure how I felt about the MMC he's a bit darker than grey, but somehow it worked. I feel like the end was a bit rushed, .but overall really enjoyed it, it was hot!
All sorts of the deranged I knew it was gonna be!!! With the HEA! Thank you!!! It took me a minute to make it back to this book, but I definitely enjoyed the whole series!!
ARC Review: Honestly this had such a cute ending and I loved that Teresa Wolf bypassed the whole “having to win her back after showing his darkest secrets”. Sometimes with dark romance books it feeds into “distance makes the heart grow fonder” but with Vicious Little Darling, Ember has already been through enough with her best friend Josh that I’m glad she didn’t feel betrayed or hurt by Jaxton cause he would literally burn the world for her.
I loved the first two in this series but I struggled to get into this one. Didn’t make it any less good in the end. But it took me to about 40% before I started to enjoy it.
I did really like Ember and Jaxton and if it had purely been about them I think I would have liked it better from the start but within 5 seconds of meeting Josh I didn’t like him and I get that we probably weren’t supposed to like him but his weird possessiveness just annoyed me a bit.
I did love when she finds out the truth instead of being freaked out she just wanted to get her freak in or the fact that he was jealous of himself.
It is maybe just me and nothing to do with the story as I normally ❤️ Teresa’s books. But I been in a funk for a few weeks so I maybe just wasn’t feeling this one as much as I would normally.
While I love dark romance, I was a little apprehensive about the reading a book from dual POV, one of which is a serial killer… but something about the way Teresa Wolf just unapologetically embraced his POV really worked. I actually really liked the characters as well as their story!
Thoughts : this was a great st@lker dark romance, it was comical in places I didn’t think comedy belonged but overall a good book. Jaxton / Xander didn’t have redeeming qualities in my eyes, but this is fiction ladies and gents… so, yeah… 🤦🏻♀️🥵🥵🥵🥵
⚠️⚠️⚠️spoilers - whole story*** Jaxon is a super rich psychopath that has a lot of F*d mommy trauma. He hunts, stalks, and deletes women. He usually has a type and sometimes he even gra.pes them first, he admits this is the only way he can “get off”. He has never had con$en$ual schmex. Weirdly he goes to a therapist - only saying minimal things. His mother was a pos keeping him away from his father until he was older and found him hisself. They had no money. She also is so mean to him making him feel less than. But when his father passed, thanks to an overd.ose because of his mother, he inherited tons! His dad was a c@rtel leader, now his uncle is in charge and cleans up after his “fun”. But his uncle is going tired of it and tells him to get a real gf. Ember is a wild at heart young woman but also reserved when it comes to men. She dates, but rarely. She lives in a bad part of town and works at a bookstore, with her boss Rich. She is proud to be on her own and is happy with her life. Her bff, Josh is rich and owns a bar. He clearly wants her but she doesn’t see him that way. Josh tries to get her to move in with him in the nice part of town and to work for him but she doesn’t want pity or hand outs, always refusing. Jaxton sees her at a bar and is instantly obsessed. She isnt his “normal type”. And now all of a sudden, his “normal type” doesn’t do it for him. He makes Ember his next obsession to figure out why. Ember can clearly see something is going on, things moved around in her apartment, seeing a guy in a skull mask following her… this intrigues Jaxton because the other girls usually don’t notice this stuff because they are self absorbed (nod to his mother). He goes into her work and introduces himself as Xander (his name is Jaxton Xander Marks). Ember is immediately drawn to him. Jaxton sees her at a club and dances with her, skull mask on. He tells her to keep dancing and he will let her go home safely. She does and that only spurs his obsession. He goes back to her apartment and goes down town on her… she is a little tipsy. She is definitely into it, even if she knows it’s wrong. Jaxton leaves her @live though which confuses him. He continues to play with her, switching between stalking her as Jaxton and seeing her in public as Xander. Jaxton eventually takes what he wants and gives her a hand necklace she can’t get out of. She is able to s+ab him with a piece of glass during her fight and goes to her neighbor to call the cops. She finally accepts Josh’s offer of a job, to help get her out of her apartment faster. Xander already applies for a job there as he was trying to get close to watch Josh, he knew he was a d0u€he… Ember tells Xander about her stalker and he doesn’t judge her. He offers her to move in with him. They hook up and Josh finds out they are together. Josh tries to take what he wants from Ember, mad she would give into a stranger but not him. Jaxton unalives Josh for her. She finds out Xander is Jaxton and she doesn’t care… He tells her he doesn’t need to stalk women anymore and his uncle gives him an enforcer position so he can satiate his bl00d lust, the he will come home to satiate something else with Ember. Later, Ember tells Jaxton she is pr£gnant and everyone is happy.

Ok, this was a book I was skeptical I would be into, but I was wrong and I'm so glad I gave it a read. This was very well-written, full of suspense and once I started reading, I could NOT put it down. In fact, as soon as I was finished, I went and read the 2 previous books in this series. Jaxton has quite the favorite hobby but lately, it hasn't been doing it for him. The girls he normally chooses aren't bringing the same feelings to the kill and, while pondering how to get that thrill back, he lays eyes on Ember. For whatever reason, he finds her utterly fascinating and wonders if maybe she's the key to getting him out of this slump he finds himself in. Ember can feel that someone is watching her every move. It sends shivers down her spine yet it also makes the hair on the back of her neck stand up. These seemingly conflicting feelings bring her excitement for the first time in a long time and, while she is terrified, she cannot stop thinking about the creep in the skeleton mask. He haunts her waking thoughts, her nightmares, and the time in between.
Jaxton finds that, over time as he amps up the stakes in his predator-prey game, he has NEVER felt anything close to this and, when he finally makes his move to take her and end her, he realizes there is more to her that suits him than he thought. Can these seemingly conflicting desires be reconciled to satiate a need he never realized he had? Can he tamper down his stalking and murderous tendencies for the girl who makes him actually feel? Those are the ultimate questions that the author answers in such a satisfying way that is plausible, given the dark romance and stalker tropes within this book, and yet wraps everything up beautifully.
Overall, I highly recommend anyone that likes romance with intense spice (like 4.5/5 chili peppers) to give this book a try. Again, I am so glad I did because it was such a ride and I never even realized I was here for it.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The author sure does know how to keep you hooked into the book. I was so excited to read this book after reading the others as I wanted to see what this one would be like.
Ember is doing the best that she can for herself. She lives in a place that nobody else would ever live in and she has a job. She starts working two jobs and will never do what others expect her to do as she is her own person. She isn't aware of all the attention the men give her as she is so focused on just surviving. She isn't aware but she gathers Jaxton's attention and the masked man.
Jaxton doesn't understand what his attraction is towards Ember but it's not normal. She isn't his normal type or a woman he goes after but he is going to continue with his plan. He soon finds out that Ember is not like any other woman and he takes that as a challenge. His obsession with her is only growing even more to where he knows he will have to make a choice.
Ember is both scared and excited when it comes to the masked man. She doesn't understand what is wrong with her but she can't help it. When Xander allows her to stay with him, things get even weirder for her but yet she fills attached to Xander. She doesn't expect the things that happen and really doesn't understand it until Xander fills her in.
This is a dark, fast, stalker, thrilling read with a lot of steam in it. This just continues the Love So Cruel series and it's so worth the read. You won't regret reading.
I received an ARC through Booksprout and this is my honest review.

“Vicious Little Darling” is the third installment in the “Love So Cruel Series.” This book had me hooked from the first chapter - I could not put it down. Ember and Xander have an intriguing relationship. Xander is unable to feel anything towards women, until he meets Ember. She intrigued him and he starts to feel emotions that he has never felt before. He is unsure how deal with this - could this be the one person that will make him change his “hobby?” Could Ember be his “happily ever after?”
The story is dark in places, plenty of spice 🌶️, intrigue and secrets that you will not expect! A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊
If you're a fan of dark, stalker romance and are looking for a quick, thrilling read, *Vicious Little Darling* will definitely hit the mark.
Ember is a sweet yet feisty and strong character. Juggling two jobs, she refuses to conform to others' expectations, staying true to herself. When she catches the attention of Jaxton, he's instantly drawn to the way she handles herself and her complete disinterest in the men who try to hit on her. She’s not his usual type, and that only fuels his fascination. For Jaxton, the chase begins.
But what starts as fascination quickly spirals into obsession. Jaxton finds himself captivated by Ember in a way he never anticipated, leading him to deviate from his usual plans. His obsession grows, and soon their lives begin to intertwine in ways neither of them expected.
Ember’s encounter with the mysterious man in the skull mask leaves her both terrified and electrified. As the story unfolds, she's thrown into a whirlwind of twists, unexpected realizations, and danger.
*Vicious Little Darling* is fast-paced, filled with heat, and surprisingly tender in moments. If you're into dark romance with intense, obsessive dynamics, I highly recommend it—it’s a gripping read from start to finish.
When two dark, damaged and lost souls cross paths. Can a serial killer and his victim fall in love?

Part of the Love So Cruel series don’t start if you do not plan on finishing in one setting because you will find that you can’t put it down. Jaxon sexy as all get out morally gray …okay downright psycho in a good way sort of seriously he is possessive, extremely protective, stalkerish behavior, wears his Skelton mask while his uncle runs the family business the cartel since his father passed away, and that left him a very rich man to enjoy his pleasures of stalking his latest victim. Ember is sweet when she needs to be she has always been different her friends love her they are protective of her but she has never fit it in with the normal crowd to top it off she is covered in tattoos and that alone has others looking at her funny so when she feels someone watching her she know she should be scared but she just isn’t in fact she welcomes him for some reason. Jaxon is a serial killer starts with stalking building to something more but with Ember he knows she is different and different he likes wants more of it but the more they meet the closer they grow together but will she accept him, will she fight him as he wants her, do they realize they are perfect together, will they realize it, and where are they headed maybe to happiness?
Well this was a shit show!! I actually read a romance between a serial killer and a girl with conflicting morals. Me!! who rarely ever strays out of historical romance genre!!. But here it is, I read it and I 50-50 liked it and I have some opinions. Do refrain from reading further if you are scared of spoilers.
We get introduced to the H aka the serial killer while he broke in and killed a girl, confirming the POV that he is actually a serial killer. Then he goes to a bar and sees the h while she is with her friends. Then he follows her home and finds where her apartment. The setting was plausible and story immersing. I couldnt put the book down for very long.
Now the issues, the story did not give an enough insight in the H's past to justify his 'urges' for being a serial killer. Nowhere did we get a justification when and why he fell in love with her, when all she did was let him fuck her being masked. No justification of h's urge to get attracted to a stalker and not perfectly good friend who already had a crush on her. And why the said friend tried to rape her when everything was revealed. All in all too much unsatisfaction on these pages.
Still a 2 star read, because I still managed to finish the story in one day.
I absolutely devoured the other two books in this series and this one was no different! I couldn’t put it down.
If you love the morally grey, touch her and ☠️, seriously possessive and protective, all consuming masked man then this book and Teresa’s others in this series are what you’re looking for.
It was hot and steamy, it was gripping and thigh clenching! Never before have I regretted having a read on my kindle as I did this, because let me tell you, on more than one occasion I needed to fan myself and didn’t have the pages to do it with!
He’s dark, dangerous, sticks to the shadows, keeps to himself, has a checkered past, good with his hands (in more ways than one, IFYKY) but he has a pretty, soft boy side that he doesn’t like to show.
She’s a bit of an anomaly to her friends, doesn’t fit in with the crowd, strongly independent yet smothered with ‘overprotective friends’, wants to be herself and release her true kinks.
Can a shared love for the darker side be enough? Despite their start, can they be what each other need?
Be prepared for the shadows to come to life and for things that bump and grind in the night (oh yes!!)
I literally inhaled this book! Teresa Wolf is one of my favorite authors for the decadent way she writes the darkest of characters, yet makes them redeemable to the reader and the one character they can’t live without.
Jaxton is one of my absolute favorite dark and deadly anti-heroes. He does whatever he wants and is absolutely unapologetic about it. He is restless and unsatisfied with his morally black lifestyle. Until Ember. He can’t figure out what he wants her so badly. But he does, and he won’t let anyone stand in his way. He will take what he wants when he wants it and he wants her.
There were moments my heart raced and I was half appalled/half thrilled with the way he pursues her. Not to mention the way she responds to him, even when she knows she shouldn’t. I was hooked from the first page and I had to know how it would end. I wasn’t disappointed and I can’t wait for her next book!!.
Check your trigger warnings. This book is a dark stalker romance and it is heavy on all three elements. If these aren’t your yum, don’t indulge. The hero is morally black, obsessive, possessive and totally delicious.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved the concept of this book, and I loved most of the stalker/ protector type vibes, but I cant get over the fact that the MMC kills any woman with pretty much no reasoning. Like killing bad women (like other serial unalivers or p3dos for example), I could get behind but I struggled to fully like this guy because of it. Other than that, this book was a yummy read.
This book had some veryyyy spicy scenes that made me reconsider my own sanity. This is definitely one you NEED to check the TW’s on (you should for every book but this one was DARK) but the book doesnt actually include TW's, which is VERY frustrating. There is a lot of sneaking about and B&E, which I dont think I should of enjoyed as much as I did XD. I might need therapy after this XD
At the end, their relationship kind of reminded me of Haunting Adeline, with the whole “Loving eachother, flaws and all”, but darker. I do love the idea of falling for him separately with both identities, it did make it feel a lot more realistic imo. However, I wish we got to see more :(
I was immediately captivated by the dark, thrilling atmosphere of Vicious Little Darling. The author's ability to create a sense of suspense and tension from the very beginning was truly impressive. I was immediately drawn into the story and the intriguing characters. I couldn't put it down.
The characters were the highlight for me. Ember is a fantastic protagonist. She a strong, independent woman with a feisty spirit, who is not afraid to speak her mind. Jaxton is a complex and intriguing character who is both dangerous and seductive. I really have a deep love for feisty FMCs and morally grey MMCs. Their interactions were full of tension and chemistry.
The plot was fast-paced and full of trills. I was excited to see what would happen next, and the author did a great job of keeping me on the edge of my seat. The steamy scenes added another very enjoyable layer of intensity to the story. I found the balance between the dark and romantic elements to be very well-done.
Vicious Little Darling is the third book in the Love So Cruel series. This is a stalker romance and touches on some sensitive subjects that may be triggering so please check the warnings before reading. This is the story of Ember and Jaxton. Ember finds herself the target of a masked stalker that breaks into her apartments and does the most delicious things to her, unlocking a part of her she didn't know existed. Ember soon finds herself at odds as she finds herself wanting to build a relationship with the new guy she recently met and now works with, Xander, while craving the attention of her masked stalker. Unbeknownst to Ember, her stalker and Xander have a lot in common and the true danger comes from the least likely of sources. Absolutely loved this book, it kept me enthralled from start to finish. Can't wait to see what comes next!!!.

Possible spoilers ahead. I almost DNF this book. The MMC is a serial killer. In his POV, it also mentions how he’s raped some of them. The book starts out where he’s stalking some blonde woman and he kills her. He doesn’t feel the same zest for it anymore until he sees h in a bar. She’s is “different” than other girls. 😬 He decides then to stalk her. At one point, he literally almost kills h.
This whole book felt like there were huge pieces missing. I had such a hard time even connecting with h because she was just not smart. I’m positive not one reader didn’t side eye Josh from the very beginning (he is h’s best friend but not really. He wanted her) everybody could see that coming.
The spice scenes were spicy….if you can ignore the fact he has raped previous victims. There’s no mention of a condom so that was a big yuck
Then to top this whole messy thing up, you get a surprise pregnancy in the end.
Jaxton is a serial killer and used to what he does after stalking and torturing his prey. However, Ember changed things for him. Ember has a feeling that she is being followed one evening and looks back only to see a man in a mask. This has her running to her place. Jaxton loves when he has to chase and its doesn't take long to discover where she lives. Soon the game has begun for him. yet when he breaks in when she is home, he is stunned to find her waiting for him and then nothing goes as planned. Will she become his next victim? Or will this change his thinking?
WARNING This may have trigger issues for some.
This is a completely different book for me. I was stunned by how much it will draw you in even when you want to hate the male lead character. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I was quickly drawn into this fast-paced, dark and thrilling read. It's about a stalker so as you would expect it's dark but it also has a lot of steam and is well worth reading if stalkers aren't a trigger for you.
Ember is her own person, where she lives is far from ideal and she has to work two jobs to get by. She's so focused on just surviving that she never notices the way men watch her. That is until a masked man, Jaxton takes an unhealthy interest in her
Jaxton's attraction to Ember isn't one he understands, she's different to the other women he's drawn to she's much more of a challenge but that doesn't stop him from going after her
Who is the masked man stalking Ember? Why is she excited by him? Then there's Xander to whom she feels attached.
This is a deliciously dark and riveting page-turning stalker romance between Jaxton and Ember. Jaxton is a serial killer who stalks his prey once he's spotted his next victim. He doesn't change his mind or stop until his victim is dead. Ember is a hard worker she works 2 jobs in order to support herself because she doesn't want to count on other people to support her. That's why she doesn't live in the nicest neighborhood and one night while she's on the way home Ember thinks that she's being followed by a man in a mask. Jaxton is fascinated by Ember so he begins stalking her. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this deliciously dark and riveting page-turning stalker romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

If you love dark stalker romances and have no triggers, then read this!
Ember is the FMC, working two jobs and trying to survive. She gets the sense of someone following her and lurking in the background. The man in the mask stalks her and terrorises her life, things start happening in her apartment.
Jaxton is a serial killer, he kills women. He sets his sights on someone and won't stop until their life ends. But what makes Ember different? Why does she intrigue him so much? Instead of wanting to kill her, he wants to know her and he would burn the world down for her.
This story brings together two people who needed each other. They make each other feel things they never thought possible.
It was a great ride to be on and Jaxton took Ember on lots of hot rides :-)

So out of the whole series, this one is my favorite for sure! It actually felt like a true stalker romance with a beautiful happy ending. I loved the time jumps in the epilogues in all three books. It made for well rounded endings.
Overall for the whole series 3 ⭐
I listened to the whole series back to back in about a Day and a half. ohh and in order to!.
Don't ask me why, I have no words to explain because this series is not good, it was cringy at times, the women were dumb and the men were bad but I just devoured it.
I'm glad I read in order. If I read this one first, I would have had much higher expectations for the series. All that to say is they don't have to be read in order, you can start wherever you want.
if you are only going to choose one, choose this one! it's the best!
