The invasion of a reborn Israel by Russia has been predicted since the 19th century. The chapters of Ezekiel that discuss Gog and Magog are 38 and 39. These chapters describe the War of Gog and Magog, in which Gog and his hordes from the north attack Israel.

Mr. Comfort understands this invasion as coming from Russia. He discusses the invasion in chapters 3-5 of his 11 chapter book. The rest of the book looks at sin and prophecies in current times. The reason for Russia’s aggression is identified as the “communist mind.” The book was published in 1991. Russia dropped communism in December of that year.
