When my older children were small, I lived for the crockpot and owned several of the Fix it and Forget it slow cooker books. This is very similar to the others, but this one I checked out of the library, and I don't own it. Additionally, these recipes and all the Fix it and Forget it recipes are submitted by real people. Having said that, this book is okay There is some variety in this book, but it isn't necessarily just for the holidays. Also, most of these recipes follow the slow cooker variant in that, you add a protein, some veggies, and liquid and in 6-8 hours you have dinner. Having said all that, I won't buy the book, but it has useful info for the busy parent needing to feed a hungry family

Have to be honest here. I got this from the library thinking I would just copy the recipes I wanted to try & not "hoard" another cookbook.

My mom & I were going through the book last night & after we had only gotten through the beef section we already had 20 recipes written down. "Okay. This is nuts. We might as well buy the book." Done & done. Thank you Amazon.

I have to put a start & finish date down for this but I have a feeling I will not be finished with this particular cookbook for a long time.

I just got a new Slow Cooker so I thought I should browse the library collection and this popped up.

I took about to weeks to read through the selections. I picked out 2o+ recipes to cook. I have not had a chance to try them out yet but they do look good.

I would have liked more variety especially with it being a Christmas cookbook.

Not exactly what I was expecting from a cookbook with "Christmas" in the title...but not bad overall.
