Sugar Mountain #2

Worth the Wait

Rate this book
I've been in love with Addison Whitman since high school. I knew right away that she was my end game and I thought she felt the same. I never thought there'd come a time when she'd leave me behind, but that's exactly what she did. And as much as I've tried to move on and be happy without her... the truth is that I can't do either of those things. I want one woman, and one woman only, but I don't think she's ever coming back.

Leaving Patrick was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to chase my dreams in New York City. Not to mention the chance to reconnect and spend time with my little sister. I never expected to stay away from Sugar Mountain for so long, but it's been almost 4 years now and I haven't been home once.

How long is too long to stay gone?
And can love find its way back together after that much time apart?

Thank you Endlessly Well Read Bookclub & J Sterling for the eARC copy of Worth the Wait!! I am so grateful and glad I got the opportunity to read this !!

This was such a perfect second chance romance like genuinely incredible. My heart was swooning and going crazy over it. I loved it so much. Read it in one sitting on one of my flights & I am so glad I waited til the plane ride to read it because it was a perfect little romance for the flight.

I absolutely loved both MC’s and I adored their relationship and how god damn inlove with one another they were because I want that (I basically do but not the point). I love it. Patrick O Grady, the MAN YOU AREEEEEE. HE BUILT HER A HOME, BOUGHT HER A RESTAURANT FOR HER TO OPEN HER OWN, HE WAITED FOR HER. He was perfection and the most perfect man any woman could want.

Addison Whitman I love, she deserves the world especially because of her shitty ass mother. I wanted to throw a few punches at her mom so much. But I am so glad she and her sister had eachother during her time in New York. Their sibling bond was definitely opposite personalities but they brought out the best of one another.

I love it and I am so thankful I got this as an eARC from J Sterling & Endlessly Well Read Bookclub!! Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this!

Worth The Wait is the second book in J. Sterling’s Sugar Mountain Series. If you’re new to this series, have no fear, Patrick O’Grady and Addison Whitman’s story can be read as a standalone!

Patrick once had his happily ever after within the fingertip reach. Until those dreams of a fairy tale ending came to a screeching halt when Addison was accepted into a prestigious culinary school. He knows this is an offer she can’t refuse, and even though it’ll crush his very soul, he’s willing to put his life on hold for the two years it’ll take for her to complete the course. Four years later, and Patrick has made a vow to himself, if one more year goes by without Addison showing up, he’ll do what he can to try and move on from the life he had envisioned for so long…

For the past four years, Addison has been living in New York City, living out her dreams one day at a time. She should be filled with joy, but instead, she’s consumed with loneliness. Her heart belongs next to the heart she left behind in Sugar Mountain. When her dad has an accident, Addie is forced to return to all that she left behind, including her one true love.

My Thoughts:

J. Sterling has a way of pulling reader’s into her novels and not letting them go until the very end. The moment I read the synopsis for Worth The Wait, I knew I needed to read this book soon, and happily, it did not disappoint! My heart loved Patrick and Addison’s story. Honestly, if you are new to this series like I am, be prepared to want to read the first book in this Sugar Mountain Series, Worth The Fall!

Before I dive into my points on the main characters I’m going to say if you like novels that incorporate the band of brothers trope, you most definitely will love this series. I’m one book in, and I’m already really enjoying this trope! If you love strong family vibes, this is definitely a must-read book for you! I loved the O’Grady family just as much as I loved the Whitman, minus one family member, family!

Let’s start with Patrick O’Grady! Patrick took my breath away from the moment he stepped on the page of this book. I loved his charm and how he wore his heart on his sleeve. What can I say aside from I’m a sucker when it comes to male characters not being afraid to show vulnerability in front of family and the women they love. It hits me in the feels every damn time, and I’m here for it! I dropped a ½ star on Patrick’s side of the story because I wanted to see him in his element and working more with his hands. I wanted to see the part of his character that wasn’t attached to Addison. I wanted to get to know the man for who HE is. But aside from that, I loved this man and his swoony vibes!

And then we have Addison Whitman. Addison’s life is complicated, and it shows! I think she’s the character that I had the most trouble understanding…. And when you read this novel, you will completely understand why I said what I said. Here’s a woman who is caught between her dream of becoming a well-known chef in New York City and her picture-perfect love story in Sugar Mountain. My heart broke for her throughout this novel, but not only for the decision she had to make but also for the way she was treated. I literally wanted to reach into this novel a throat punch one particular character in particular. Never having to see this character again would make my day! DAMN! And herein lies the reason why I dropped a ½ star on Addison’s point of view. I felt like there were a few gaps in her story where it concerned her family. I was given a glimpse into what looked like a disaster zone, and now I want to know the full story and why a certain member of said family seems to dislike Addison so much. There has to be a story there.

Overall, I really enjoyed Worth The Wait by J. Sterling. Patrick and Addison screamed Couple Goals! Here’s a man who gave no ultimatums and a woman who never stopped loving the man of her dreams. I loved the whole concept of this novel. I’ll wrap up this review by saying I need Matthew’s story now! I have a feeling the youngest brother is going to give his older brother’s a run for their money where the swoon factor is involved!

Worth the Wait, the second instalment in J. Sterling’s magnificent Sugar Mountain Series, is a heartwarming and emotional tale of enduring love, proving that time and distance can never truly extinguish the flames of a forever love.

Andi and Patrick’s story is one that tugs at the heartstrings. Over three years ago, Andi made the difficult choice to leave her small-town home, her loving father, and Patrick—the man who held her heart—to pursue her dream of becoming a chef in New York. But despite achieving her goals, New York never felt like home. When her father’s fall brings her back to Sugar Mountain, Andi finds herself not only reunited with her roots but also back in Patrick’s arms.

For Patrick, those three years were a blur of going through the motions, all the while holding onto the hope that Andi would one day return. From the tender nostalgia of shared memories—like nail varnish on a dashboard—to the realisation of a dream home and the undeniable spark of instant passion, their reunion is as heartfelt as it is captivating.

Sterling masterfully weaves a story that balances love, loss, and second chances, leaving readers rooting for Andi and Patrick every step of the way. But with the pull of New York still lingering, the question remains: will Andi and Patrick’s love finally get their “never,” or will life pull them apart once more?

A beautifully written, swoon-worthy romance, Worth the Wait will leave you believing in the power of love that stands the test of time.

5 Star Review Worth The Wait (Sugar Mountain#2) by J. Sterling

J. Sterling is a relatively new author to me and what I have read, I have enjoyed.

Set in Sugar Mountain, this is Addison and Patrick’s second chance at love story which was well written and entertaining.

I was quickly drawn into the story that Ms. Sterling wove and found the characters easy to relate too.

After four years Addison is finally returning to Sugar Mountain. Will Patrick be able to forgive her for leaving and in doing so can they put the past behind them and in doing so forge a future together?

Every book I read by J. Sterling I fall more and more in love with her writing. The plot, the spice, the writing, the emotion. Everything that she entwines into her storytelling is so beautiful💙 This story follows Addie and Patric, high school sweethearts who were separated when she decided to go to culinary school. But he never gave up on his love for her 🥹

Patrick is the pinnacle of a book boyfriend and a man that I’d die to have in my life. From the house, the wedding barn, the haircut; everything comes from his deep love for Addie.

“Then, come home, love. Come back to me. I’m a ghost of a person without you,”

Worth The Wait by J. Sterling is book two in her Sugar Mountain series about the O’Grady brothers. This time it is Patrick’s story and the love of his life, Addison Whitman. High school sweethearts who thought nothing would break them up or their plans for the future. Then circumstances separate them but their feelings for each other haven’t changed. A very romantic, a emotional and angsty read about first love, enduring love and hopefully forever love. This couple are soul mates so will they get their second chance? For Patrick it’s always been Addi, she is his first, last and only one for him. Will she do the right thing and give Patrick the happiness he desires and deserves.

“I’d wait for you forever. You’re worth the wait.”

When Addison’s Parents split up her mum took her sister Sarina, to New York while she stayed behind with her dad. Then her mum got her the opportunity of a lifetime, a place in a cookery school so she left Sugar Mountain. Although Patrick wanted them to stay together he knew she deserved the chance and promised he’d be waiting for her. He hoped for a long distance relationship while she did the two year course, but contact slowly faded away as too painful for both of them. Now nearly four years later she’s still not back and he doesn’t understand why she has never come back or even visited her dad.

Patrick has counted the days and dedicated his life doing things ready for when she returned. He threw himself into work and bringing their teenage dreams to reality. He never contemplated they wouldn’t be together and lived with the pain of missing her. His family were worried that without her he was only existing not really living. Addison never expected not to return as she knew what she had left behind but she had built up a reputation as an excellent chef. Sarina was thriving but recently life was not going the way Addison expected, work was hard and living with her mother even harder. she still won dared if Patrick had stopped waiting for her and moved on?

A couple of events unexpectedly lead to her going home with Sarina, She’d locked all her memories of Sugar Mountain and Patrick away and now she back, they all come flooding back. Her dad was great and determined to reunite the couple. It was lovely how Sarina was open to her visit and really reconnected with him. Patrick’s niece was so sweet again and the banter between the brothers was entertaining. Lovely seeing Thomas and Brooklyn getting married.

All it takes is one touch and Patrick and their chemistry is as strong as it always was. Secrets, truths and the expressions of his love are revealed. Feeling overwhelmed and emotional she has to decide what to do. There are some funny scenes as they reignite the passion and it was great how easily she eased back into all the O’Grady’s lives like she’d never left.

Patrick is what romance books are all about, swoony and an absolute gentleman who totally deserves his HEA. That’s two O’Grady men down, one to go! I am looking forward to Matthew’s story as the author has teased us with snippets about him and Bella. Is Matthew serious about her or is it all a game to him? Can’t wait to find out.

Author J. Sterling writes a wide variety of stories and series, different characters, different settings, different circumstances. But they all have one very important thing in common: they make you believe. In love, in happiness, in hope. In the conviction that whatever has happened to you in the past, wherever you are right now, it’s still possible for things to work out and your dreams to come true. There’s always a way; you just have to have faith, to be willing to open your eyes and look for the possibilities.

Patrick O’Grady, however, doesn’t have any of that faith. He may as well be encased in concrete, frozen like Han Solo in Star Wars. His high school love, Addison Whitman, moved to New York City almost four years ago and hasn’t been back to Sugar Mountain once. But Patrick can’t move on, won’t move on. He loves her with his whole heart and he chooses each and every day to continue doing so. How long can he go on like this? He’s read somewhere online that people tried something new for up to five years. They either gave up within that time frame or kept at it. Almost four years now without her, but when his countdown calendar reaches five years, will it be any different? Not if his thoughts and his conversations with his brothers are any indication. Every action he’s taken since she left is still with their shared dreams and plans in mind.

Leaving Patrick was the hardest thing Addi ever did. Yes, she went to follow her dream to enter culinary school, but that was only part of it. Addison’s mother tore their family apart when Addi was young, and when I say tore apart I’m not kidding. Her disdain for small-town life in Sugar Mountain, feeling smothered and suffocated there, led her to leave for New York City. Not only did she leave Addi and Addi’s father Jeremiah, without even a backward glance, she took Addi’s little sister Sarina with her. So the move to New York is not only for her dreams of being a successful chef one day but an opportunity to possibly reconnect with her mother and to spend time with the sister she misses so much. The job and school are good but demanding and the field is exhausting and cutthroat, her mother treats her with the same disdain she displays for Sugar Mountain and Jeremiah; time with Sarina is wonderful, but they are still worlds apart. Sarina grew up in the city and thrives there; she’s a wildly successful influencer. Rather than adapting and coming to love her new life, Addi is starting to hate the city and wonder if her dreams for her life as a chef are really meant for city life, but what are her choices? If she goes back to Sugar Mountain what is she going back to?

Well, the choice to go back is taken from her: fate – or more specifically her father’s accident – have her rushing home, but it’s bittersweet. She loves Sugar Mountain and she’s missed it. She’s missed her father, too, and can’t believe she let all that time go by without visiting him. And there hasn’t been a day that she hasn’t thought of Patrick, hasn’t missed him, hasn’t felt her heart ache for him. Their reunion is sweet and poignant. Their love just shines through, it bursts out of them, but it’s not that simple. It feels like no time has passed and also like there is an impossible chasm between them.

Worth the Fall, the first book in the Sugar Mountain series, had me crying within the first couple of pages. Worth the Wait had me swooning and immediately in love with Patrick. This series may be author Sterling’s first time writing small-town romance, but she has nailed it. You will be so invested in these characters; their connection is so strong it will make you smile and sigh, and then there are the funny parts which will have you laughing out loud, and don’t forget the sensual, sexy, scorching parts. Whew!

Worth the Wait was an amazing, enjoyable read start to finish. I recommend it, this series and everything else J. Sterling writes. I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy of Worth the Wait. I voluntarily leave this review; all opinions are my own.

Heartbreak and well deserved happiness 😭🫶 This book was absolutely angsty and heart-wrenching. High on the angst part 😂💔 A good read with a guaranteed HEA 🫶 Thank you so much, J Sterling, for the ARC 🔥❤️

Patrick O'Grady is an absolute sweetheart! This man gives me hope. He's tall, handsome, intelligent, rich, successful, insanely in love with Addi, even though they broke up almost 4 years ago, hopeful, protective, possessive, and a golden retriever. This man, as Addi said, is literally a romance books MMC! He walked out of one and into Addisons life 😭❤️ He is a dream come true, and I'm so glad he finally got his dream with Addi, the only woman for him! He could've moved on, but he made the choice not to, every single day 🔥 I adored the bond he has with his family and niece. She's a little cutie!

Addison Whitman 🫶 Beautiful, intelligent, kind, successful, protective, shy, still in love with Patrick after 4 years, and also made the choice to never move on either. This woman gave me mixed emotions, to be honest. But in the end, I loved her for finally doing what was right and made her happy. I was so mad at her for breaking up with Patrick in the first place and leaving. I kind of get her, but also, c'mon. Why do people make it difficult? 😂💔 I loved how her dad was so supportive of her, especially when it came to choosing what was always meant for her, a life in Sugar Mountain with him, her friends, and Patrick and his family.

Overall, a really great read. The writing is absolutely intriguing and pulls you in. The storyline and characters are absolutely amazing. Matthew's story is definitely on my TBR, I need him and Bella asap, ma'am! 😏🤭 The angst and pining are insane!

At my core, I am a hopeless romantic. I want love to win out every time, to conquer all, for everyone to find their soulmate. And while there are many authors who I love reading who provide this, J Sterling is one who excels. She can write different tropes, backgrounds, character struggles, and in the end love always wins. Yes, readers go through heartache, angst, and some drama, but her books always end in a HEA.

Continuing to follow the O’Grady brothers, this book revolves around Patrick and his second chance with the love of his life. He had to say goodbye to allow her to chase her dream. He never fully recovered when she left. He has thrown himself into work and basically has just been existing, not living. I loved how he came back to life when his girl returned home. He isn’t afraid to open up to her, but understands she needs time.

Addison left Sugar Mountain understanding everything she was giving up. Not knowing if the relationship would ever stand a second chance, she has stayed away for four years. When she finally returns, she is scared of the past, but also the present and future. She still feels strongly for Patrick, but doesn’t want to open up if staying isn’t what she does. She is truly at war with herself as she fights her feelings.

I have always loved a second chance romance, when said second chance is truly deserved. Watching Patrick and Addison fall in love again was magical. J Sterling writes a story that is intriguing, beautiful, and heartwarming. If you don’t believe in the magic of love, reading one of J’s stories will definitely turn you!

As always, review any author notes before reading.

I really enjoyed returning to Sugar Mountain and getting to know Patrick and Addison better in book #2. I fell a little in love with Patrick in book #1, but I'm ALL in in Worth the Wait!

Patrick and Addison fall in love young and think they are IT for each other, but when she's given an amazing opportunity to hone her skills as a chef, Patrick doesn't want to hold her back, so she leaves him and Sugar Mountain behind. Fast forward some years when an unexpected event causes Addison to return to Sugar Mountain, we find out if these characters have moved on from each other or if their love still holds true.

There's just something about a man who can be vulnerable with his heart and knows what he wants! We find out that Patrick knew way back that Addi was his one and everything he did in her absence, was still centered around her and their love. Their love quickly reignites when they are around each other and it's hard to imagine how these two ever stayed apart even after she left.

I loved Addi in this story--she loves Patrick and his family and quickly realizes what has been missing when she is back in Sugar Mountain. When a new opportunity arises, she has to decide what her path is. Will she choose to leave Patrick behind again or will she realize everything she dreamed of is right there at home?!

It was great catching up with the O'Grady family and I cannot wait for book 3 in the series....I can't wait to see Matthew get knocked on his butt by love!

We return to Sugar Mountain and I truly enjoyed the romance between Addison & Patrick from beginning until end. It truly felt heartbreaking but also heartwarming at the same time; there were so many emotions going through me. It was a second chance romance story that had so many elements to it but you couldn't help but hope for that truly happy ending between them. Can't wait to see what is next in store!

Addison & Patrick have gone their seperate ways as she's been in New York to hopefully have a start in her career but it's not really going as she thought it would be. It's been a good few years and she has learned a lot but there's still something missing. When she needs to return to Sugar Mountain, there's still a lot that's unsaid but when she sees Patrick again, feelings between them haven't really disappeared. As Patrick has tried to move on with his life, there's always been something that held him back and when he sees Addison again, he's sure of their life together but Addison still has her life in NY. Slowly Addison starts to realise that Sugar Mountain really is her only home and that a life with Patrick really is something worth fighting for but will she truly walk away from her life in NY in the end?...

Oh, Addi & Patrick! I've been intrigued by their story from the start, seeing how much Patrick was hurting in Thomas's story. I have to admit, I don't really get Addi's mindset on staying away. Or, for that matter, Sarina's (her sister). But, I still really enjoyed the story!

Despite not being happy with Addi's decision to stay away, I do really love her. She's sweet & strong - standing up to her mom & not letting her attitude bring her down. I love her relationship with Sarina, and I hope they'll continue to be close even while far away!

Now, Patrick. *swoon* This man is a near-perfect book boyfriend! I love the way he states his reasoning - he CHOOSES to keep loving Addi, even when they're not together & he has no guarantee she's coming back. He has zero desire to "move on" & he doesn't pretend. (To be fair, Addi also stands up to those trying to get her to move on, so kudos to her there, as well.) Patrick has done everything he can to prepare for when, he hopes, Addi will be with him once again.

I love the families & friendships here, the relationships are great reads! And when Addi finally pulls her head outta her butt, I love these two together!!

Now, what's going on with Matthew & Bella? More intrigue!!

Such a wonderful romantic story! Talk about the love of your life, your eternal love, that not even distance and time can wither the flame of that love. The first and foremost feeling is of yearning. Addison got an offer to attend an exclusive chef school in New York, so Patrick encouraged her to take that chance. It was supposed to be for a few years but it was about to turn into four years apart.

As you read Addison and Patrick, each in their own places, you can feel the hurt from missing the one you love. Even more, Addi misses her dad, her home, and the town. Her mother is all the time stressing the advantages she’s enjoying now, and encourages her to make a living in New York and to marry money. The O’Gradys are uber rich, but for the mother, they are small town, the worse adjective there is.

I loved the slow burn, the yearning, the love that is constant and loyal, the family that heckles but also supports. Sarina was a surprise, I expected her to be one of those mean girl influencers, but she was good and kind and supportive of her big sister. Her rapport with the father she didn’t know very well was so sweet and endearing.

It was hugely romantic and I loved it!

Addison and Patrick have been in love since high school, but when Addison’s mom pulls strings to get her onto a top culinary school in New York the take the opportunity and leaves their small town to pursue her dreams. Distance made staying together impossible and 4 years later Addison still hasn’t come home. When Addison’s Dad has an accident she rushes home to make sure he’s okay and Patrick is determined to try to get Addison to stay.

Swoon. That’s the absolute best way to describe Patrick’s devotion to Addison. Addison knows her heart is with Patrick but she struggles with giving up what everyone else assumes is a dream situation, working as a chef in New York. The more time she spends in her Hometown the more she realizes she wants to stay. I loved how Patrick laid it all out plainly that he wanted her to stay, and was waiting for her to do what she needed to do even though he missed her desperately. There are moments that tug at your emotions because you just want Addison to stay and the way they both struggle with how to be together is beautifully written. Great story with a moderate amount of steam and mild angst. Worth the read.

I read book 1, and Patrick and Addi's love seemed so strong I knew this story would be amazing, and it exceeded all my expectations.
Its well written, moves at a brilliant pace and the plot reflected the characters.
The start of the story had me screaming at the pages as you see life currently from each characters perspective and how they are moving forward in careers and intentionally forcing themselves forward. Patrick's family let him be, his gorgeous niece Clarabel I feel missed Addi as much as hie does, as does his father! Every personal decision he made was with Addi in mind!
Addi's career is moving in a direction that any chef would dream of, but its clear her heart is elsewhere. Her mother really does not understand her daughter and instead tries to force her to be someone like her! This is tearing Addi apart and at one stage I am yelling "what about you"! Your loyalty to yourself!!!!
Fate intervenes!
And I get to read the love story this couple truly deserves!!! And OMG wow yes it is hot! And heart felt and heart warming and a forever love. And everyone gets what they deserve!!!!
I am still living in the book a week later! Its now of on my ride or die books!

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐢𝐭 is the 2nd book in the Sugar Mountain series by J. Sterling, featuring a heartwarming and entertaining second chance romance for Patrick and Addison. She left him 4 years ago to pursue her dreams in the big city, but nothing can fill the hole she left in his heart. Addison has reached so many career goals, but she’s never stopped missing the life she left behind in Sugar Mountain. Can she return home after all this time? Can she and Patrick find their way back to each other?

When I read the first book in this series, I had a feeling Patrick and Addison’s story would be great, and my hunch was right! I love a well-written second-chance love story with that “it’s always been you” vibe! I challenge anyone not to swoon over Patrick, who could teach a class on grand gestures!!😍 He was ready to woo her, without knowing if she would come home or not! I mean, all of that, plus he’s a doting uncle 𝘢𝘯𝘥 a dog dad!! I volunteer as tribute!!🙋🏼‍♀️🫶🏻😉 Addison was strong, independent, loving, and loyal, and I empathized with the Pressure she was under. I just loved them together… that undeniable connection and chemistry. The dynamics of the brothers was fantastic, great camaraderie and banter, as well a found family vibe. I also enjoyed Addison’s growing relationship with her sister. The sweet small town charm was on display throughout, and I look forward to the next brother’s book!

Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.

Patrick O’Grady and Addison Whitman were a very serious couple. Until she moved away to New York to chase her dreams. Patrick wanted a long distance relationship, but Addison thought it wasn’t fair to either of them.

Almost four years, and she hasn’t visited even once their small mountain town. But when her father gets her, she and her younger sister, Sarina, both came to visit him. Of course she sees Patrick. And all that he has done for her.

But she just received an offer that is one in a lifetime kind. Will she dismiss it and move back into her small town, or will she continue to strive in New York? I loved the chemistry and passion between them. They were made for each. And Jasper is such a good and cute dog. Clara just as always a cutie pie.

Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re looking for a second chance, small town romance then you’re going to love it.

It’s been four years since Addison left Patrick and their hometown to pursue her dreams of being a culinary chef and create a relationship with her sister. Even though he understood why she had to leave that doesn’t make it any easier as she was and still is his first and only love. He hasn’t been able to move forward so finding out she is returning to be there for her father he realizes that this will be the turning point in his life and their relationship.

Although the opportunity was a dream come true it meant leaving everything and everyone she loved. After reading the first book in this series and absolutely loving it, the author gave enough insight into Patrick and Addison’s relationship that I knew I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Their story was honestly just beautiful to read. The way this book started with both of them living in different places, the author very much made me feel the yearning these two still felt for each other. At times I just wanted them to hurry up and get back together, but the amazing slow burn until this eventually happened was everything. There was no possible way that this pair coming back together could have been written any other way. The love was still definitely there, but Patrick is such a great partner supporting Addi in her career aspirations that he is willing to have his own heart broken so she can live her dreams.
Once again, the current book gives plenty of information about the next book and I am beyond super excited to eventually read it.

This is the second book and O'Grady brother in the Sugar Mountain series. Patrick is what book boyfriends are made of. The way that man stills loves Addi will have any romantic's heart swooning. Honestly I don't know how Addi has stayed away from Sugar Mountain for so long. It's crazy how the tone of book from NYC to Sugar Mountain is. I even felt happier in Sugar Mountain. Not gonna lie the scene with Addi and her sister going home to see their dad had tears in my eyes. To see that lovable man reconnect with Sarina warmed my heart. I love how the O'Grady brothers love to get each other going which leads to many comedic moments. This was a good second chance romance between two characters that were always destined to be together. Little Clara still as adorable as ever especially with her favorite uncle Patrick. Loved seeing Thomas and Brooklyn living their HEA. A great read which has me looking forward to to the last O'Grady brother's story.

Thank you Endlessly Well Read BookClub and J Sterling for the chance to read this book early!! We read Worth The Wait as an eARC and I absolutely loved it!! 😍

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

I can’t tell you how much of myself I felt through Addison. Fed up with the craziness, fast paced, flashy, over the top sides of New York and battling with herself trying to decipher who she wants to be vs who she always thought she should be.

The love she has with Patrick is unmatched and my heart ached for them the entire time they were apart.

He loves her unconditionally, buys her a restaurant to live out her career dreams in Sugar Mountain, cares about her family and builds her a HOUSE?!!! 🏠 ARE WE KIDDING ?!! ….. how can anyone not love Patrick?!

The spicy, the banter, the plot - I loved this book so much. I’m officially adding all of J. Sterling’s books to my TBR.

I can’t wait to read Matthew and Bella’s story!! He better be good to her!!!!!

Patrick and Addison were high school sweethearts and each other’s endgame. Their plans for forever ended though when Addison left Sugar Mountain to pursue her dreams in New York City. Distance and time led them to break up but their love for each other never wavered.

Patrick just amazes me with all his actions. He built her a house—not just any house, but their dream house! They had so many shared visions which he slowly turned into reality during the four years which they spent apart.

I was eagerly awaiting their reunion and it was truly amazing. The love and adoration Patrick had for Addison was just pouring out of him in each and every scene. The haircut scene was just wow—beyond my imagination.

I also enjoyed seeing the brothers together. They jest, they meddle but most of all, they are always there for each other.

Worth the Wait is a fabulous second chance. I loved every moment of this one. This is book 2 and Patrick's book. He watched his brother fall and now it's his turn. Patrick has been holding on hope that his love will return to town again. It's been years and he has never stopped missing her. Addison left her love behind to go after her career and get to know her sister and mother. She has never stopped loving Patrick and misses being in a small town. Addison and her sister may be different but you will love how close they are. When Addison faces returning home and her past you will love the pull. Addison and Patrick have never stopped loving each other and you feel the love still there between them when they see each other again. I love the reconnection. I love that hope wins. You get all these feels. I could not put this down. I cannot wait for the next book. Go click this today.

This book was worth the wait!! You will spend this entire story swooning over Patrick and his love for Addison! This second chance romance is beautiful and so full of moments that will make your heart feel so full!

Patrick never got over his first love, and he is still loving her even through the time apart. The things he does for her will make your heart explode with love for this man.
Addison is chasing her dreams and leaves the love she would never get over behind. I adored her for going after her dreams, even making the sacrifices that she did. Addison is a beautiful character with so much passion.

This story is amazing, and I loved the entire thing. I love these characters and the story they tell as well as their HEA they fight for.

This was my first book by this author and definitely will not be my last. The O’Grady family has my heart in so many ways.

Addison and Patrick have known each other each other for most of their lives. They were each other’s end game. When an opportunity came up that Addison couldn’t pass up, she left him behind. Now they are both living with broken hearts. Both of them have to find a way back to each other.

First of all, Patrick is the master of grand gestures. I won’t spoil what he did but it was pretty amazing! There was a lot of pining in this story which I loved. I really liked how Patrick’s brothers banded around him and tried to help him move on. Addison’s need to venture out was valid but I can also identify with her deep desire to return home. I loved this book so much!!

Patrick and Addison were together in Sugar Mountain. Addison's mother managed to get Addison the opportunity of a lifetime at a chef training school in New York. That turned into a longer time when she got another offer to work in a restaurant that she couldn't refuse. Meanwhile, Patrick never gave up hope that one day. Addison would return to him one day. Then there was an accident with Addison's father, and Addison along with her sister Sarina had to rush back to Sugar Mountain. Will Patrick and Addison rekindle their romance, or will Addison return to New York and never step foot on Sugar Mountain again?
I received an arc for my voluntary honest review for NN Book Blog. You will love this book if you love a sweet, small-town romance with some angst.

So good! I have read other novels by this author and really enjoyed them. This novel did not disappoint. I was so excited to jump back into this series and I was not disappointed. I love a great second chance romance and this novel just checked so many boxes for me. From the first chapter this novel sucked me in and held on tight for the entire novel. I loved Addison and Patrick’s story. I loved that they got their second chance at their romance. I loved their chemistry. I loved Patrick and how protective and caring he was toward Addison. I loved watching them fall in love. Once I started reading I didn't want to put the novel down. Loved it! I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next.

Reminded me a bit of the Notebook & TATBILB (only certain parts of the book). The story itself was amazing. In my opinion, I felt like I was reading a good hallmark book where childhood friends find their way back to each other after years of being separated, only to finally decide that they would rather be with each other than with no one at all. If only real life was like this to find a man who loves you with his entire being us a girl's dream truly ❤️. The main characters were great, but the ones who stoled the show for me were Matthew, Bella, Sarina, & Jeremiah each for their own yet similar reasons. I really hope that the next book is about Matthew cause I really want to see how his story turns out.
