Save the Date! for the second heartwarming and humorous book in the Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff series…coming soon in e-book and print.

How do you know who is the right one for you?

Dr. Samantha Bashar has made a terrible mistake—she let her rocky professional relationship with Dr. Caleb D’Angelo become personal – and accidentally ruined his chances to win back his first true love.

Coming from a proud line of matchmakers, she can’t let that happen, no matter how much she dislikes him. Or the fact that she doesn’t believe in true love for herself. Plus, Caleb is her best friend’s brother. And they’re in the same wedding at the end of the summer – oh, yay.

Dr. Caleb D’Angelo isn’t trying to make enemies…call him a romantic, but he’s just trying to take his chance to see if The One Who Got Away is the right one for him. While avoiding the woman who is T for Trouble at every turn—even though she “feels bad” and is determined to “help him” no matter what he says.

Except the more Samantha helps Caleb, the more his sworn enemy turns into something completely unexpected—she’s funny and kind and very kissable—and Caleb must decide if the One for him isn’t from his past at all—but is the person who’s been right in front of him all along.

I really enjoyed this sweet / closed door romance. Samantha and Caleb work together at a hospital and basically can't stand each other (or so they think!) and are forced into even closer proximity when a mutual friend is getting married and both are involved in the wedding. A pre-wedding weekend getaway provides time for them to see each other in a new light, a light bit of danger followed by caretaking. I enjoyed the supporting characters. Sam has been a stand-in parent for her younger sister, and has worked hard to provide for her and shield her sister from financial concerns along with acting resistant to being cared for herself. One of my favorite romance scenarios is when the love interest notices she needs someone to lighten the load and steps up.

I really enjoyed reading this book! It's a friend to enemies, best friends- brother trope. The love story is slow burn with minimal sexual content.

The characters are relatable and easy to like! Samantha is the best! She's hardworking, loyal, and a very concerned big sister. Caleb is a wonderful son and brother! He's compassionate and protective. It's enjoyable to watch Sam and Caleb's relationship turn from enemy to lovers!

I really liked the sense of family among the characters. They all rallied to take care of each other, and they genuinely wanted the best for each other.

I was provided a complimentary e-arc copy of the book from the publisher/author via Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Caleb and samantha story.

Sometimes things aren't always as they appear. Sometimes people aren't sure about others until well, time is spent together. And you develop feelings, you didn't know. We're there.

So many friends gathering at the farm. The square dancing so much fun time out for ice cream .

I have to say my favorite parts of the book. We're with the dog.🐾 you put a dog in a story, and you have the perfect story.

the wedding was absolutely the best.
This was another wonderful story. Second story in this series, and I absolutely adore it.

Thank you miranda for this wonderful story.

This was a beautifully written enemies-to-lovers, best friend’s brother, slow-burn romance that truly captured the emotional depth of both main characters. Caleb and Samantha are total opposites—like oil and water—constantly clashing with fiery banter and unresolved tension. As coworkers living across the hall from each other, they're already too close for comfort. But when a weekend wedding forces them into even closer quarters, sparks really begin to fly—and not just the argumentative kind.
What makes this story stand out is how it shows love often arrives when you least expect it. It’s a heartfelt reminder that when you let your guard down and allow yourself to be vulnerable, the right person won’t let you fall—they’ll be right there to catch you. This was a truly wonderful read, and I’m absolutely loving the Doctors of Oak Bluff series!

Thank you Miranda Liasson for my complimentary copy of Take Me to The Wedding. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Another heartwarming small town romance with plenty of Midwest charm. This is book 2 in The Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff. They do not need to be read in order, but this one will make more sense if you do.

I thought Braxton and Mia's story was my favorite, but Caleb and Sam?
They take enemies to lovers to an entirely new level. I enjoyed being back on the family farm in Wisconsin and basking in all the family drama and love.
Caleb is protective and hardworking, as is Sam. They both need to let down their walls and be vulnerable. There is one more book in this series and I cannot wait to read it.

Perfect if you like:

This was cute! It felt like a Hallmark movie (not complaining). I struggled some with the chemistry between Caleb and Sam. It felt forced at times and things felt rushed. But I enjoyed the When Harry Met Sally vibe, especially at the end. But overall, a cute read.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Enemies to lovers? Yes
Best friend’s brother? Also, yes.
Take Me To The Wedding was such a cute, lighthearted romance. The characters were likable and fun to get to know. This book contained some of my favorite romance tropes so I had to give it a perfect score. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about it. I highly recommend it

What a fantastic book!

Caleb and Samantha are colleagues, he is an orthopedic surgeon and she is an anesthesiologist. They constantly get on each other’s nerves. After one particularly rough confrontation, Sam regrettably shared gossip about Caleb. Caleb has been trying to reconnect with Lilly, whom he loved in college and early med school. He thinks she is his one true love. But when Caleb and Sam head to the country for a weekend with others in a wedding party, things turn heated between them. Since Lilly is also in the wedding party, Sam tries to help Caleb reconnect with her. She feels bad about the gossip she shared that somehow got back to Lilly. But does Caleb need or want her help? And what about these sparks that are flying between the two of them?

Extraordinary story that is beautifully written. Loved it!

Thank you to Hawthorne House Books, for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

"Take Me to the Wedding" is a good sweet romance. It is the first book by Miranda Liasson I read, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but overall, I rather liked the book despite several issues.

Caleb and Sam, two doctors in a Children's Hospital are enemies. It's not really clear why from the beginning, and they don't really sound like enemies, so I felt that the enemies-to-lovers trope was a bit forced. Even when we learn a bit about their back story later on, I still don't get why they'd dislike each other so much. Calling each other "mortal enemies" was definitely over the top. Caleb also starts thinking of Sam as "not a bitch" at some point, which I hated (it's rude, demeaning, and unjustified to "think of her as a bitch"). In the first scene though, Caleb compromises Sam's career by cancelling one of the surgical operations she had to do (which was terribly unprofessional and petty of him, I still don't get why he did it). Very annoyed with him, Sam rants about Caleb's personal life with her colleagues, and the false rumour she mistakenly starts somehow gets to Caleb's ex, who he'd like to get back with. Talk about unrealistic!

Since both Sam and Caleb are invited to the wedding of a common friend, they decide to kinda call a truce and Sam even decides to help Caleb get back with his ex, Lily, since she feels very remorseful about starting the false rumours (still hardly believable, but ok). Sam and Caleb quickly realise that they don't hate each other and start to bond over their shared experience. Their story took place across different settings (the building where they both live, Caleb's parents' house, the farm where the wedding takes place, etc.). It would have been nice if these settings were more developed and had more of a presence, but they were still fine in the sense that they all allowed a division between the different "chapters" of the story.

I liked that Sam's backstory was developed (with her grandma, sister, and family issues), although the secondary characters could have been developed a tad more. Caleb seems like a very nice and caring person all along, which makes his thoughtless action in the hospital very out-of-character. I wish both their characters and psychology would have been explored a little more in depth, they seemed a little flat.

The romance was ok — there was some chemistry between the characters, but not that much. I wish they had more of an emotional connection rather than an insta-love. The couple of chapters after their first kiss were good, it showed how they strengthened their bond through "trauma" and got into a routine together.

There were a few typos, missing bits of action (e.g. a character finds themselves in a different place than a minute ago but the author didn't say they moved), details that don't match (Caleb is in a blue tux one moment and looks great in a grey suit the next...). I'm sure it's due to the fact that I read an advance copy, I hope this will be fixed.

Overall, it was a good read, but with quite a few weaknesses that I couldn't overlook.

Dr. Samantha Bashar and Dr.Caleb D’Angelo had met early on, one New Year’s Eve. It didn’t turn out well. Now they are working together but they don’t get along. It’s like they can’t stand each other. Sam struggles with letting people get close to her. She has a lot on her plate. She is taking care of her sister and paying for her sister’s college education since their grandmother passed away. Sam is just barely hanging on. She’s fierce and independent. Caleb is a great pediatric surgeon. They are both almost finished with their internship. Now they are both serving in a wedding for one of their friends. Sam is also his sister’s best friend. They will try to get along at least for the weekend. They will be traveling together since her car is in the shop. They live in the same apartment complex. Makes sense. Caleb is struggling to get back with his first love, Lilly. Sam offers to help him since she gossiped about him and ruined his chance with Lilly. She will make sure he has a chance to be with the love of his life. As they spend time together, they see each other differently. Maybe they don’t hate each other. Could it be sexual tension? Sam realizes he’s kind, caring, funny. How could she have been so wrong? Caleb sees her in a different light also. He can see how beautiful, cautious, loving, kind and funny she is. Does he really want to be with Lilly? Can Sam and Caleb become friends? Will their chemistry get in his way? These characters are wonderful. They both deserve true love. Sometimes you want something because you thinks it’s what you really want but that can cloud your judgement. Is this what Caleb wants? Maybe Caleb just needs to let the past go to move forward to his future. Sam and Caleb need to trust their feelings, and their heart. Can they? I was rooting for them. Worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily

I rated it 4.5 stars but rounded to 5 stars here and on other sites.

Take Me To the Wedding is the second book in the Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff series by Miranda Liasson. Not having read the first book, I was immediately drawn into the book’s premise and felt like I was among friends.

Caleb and Samantha are the lead romantic couple, telling the story in alternating chapters. This contemporary romance had an enemies-to-lovers story arc, with many layers, conflicts, work issues, family, and friends.

The couple’s friends’ and coworkers’ wedding was the backdrop for much of the story and provided additional storylines. The different threads were woven together nicely and had a good flow. Most of the characters were likable, and we gradually got to know the main characters. There were vivid descriptions of the various locations, especially the outdoor scenes.

At times, the communication between some characters was lacking, and Sam needed to open herself up to love and believe she was worthy of it. She and Caleb gave each other balance, and their relationship grew as they got to know each other better. I like the way he listened and knew what she needed before she did. There is closure, and I look forward to meeting up with these characters again in the next book in the series.

Take Me To the Wedding is a sweet contemporary romance with compassion and understanding that leads to love after Sam and Caleb discard their hateful feelings toward each other.

I rated it 4.5 stars but rounded to 5 stars here and on other sites.

This is the second book in Miranda Liasson’s series The Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff, and I loved it! I look forward to reading the next one in the series!
Dr. Caleb D’Angelo thinks he met the love of his life, Lilly, at the age of eighteen. Circumstances dismantled the relationship, but he hasn’t been able to let it go. He still thinks she is his happily-ever-after. That is, until he gets to know anesthesiologist Samantha Bashar who works at the same Children’s hospital. These two are as different as night and day and are constantly arguing. Samantha also happens to be a good friend of Caleb’s sister Mia.
The story centers on a farm pre-wedding weekend for Samantha and Mia’s friend Ani’s wedding party. Caleb is hoping the weekend will help him reconnect with Lilly, and Samantha has told Caleb she will help him win Lilly back. However, it doesn’t take long for Caleb to realize that Lilly is no longer for him. Being away from the hospital, Caleb and Samantha go from being enemies to friends and the sparks fly. Samantha has fought to get where she is and has taken care of her younger sister, Wynn. Samantha does not believe that love is a big fairy tale and has always run away from love.
Just when she decides to take a chance and embrace her relationship with Caleb, Lilly interferes. Will Lilly convince Caleb to get back together, so that Samantha will lose her chance for happiness? You need to read this wonderful story of what love, families, and friendship is all about!

Take Me to the Wedding
Miranda Liasson
May 09, 2025

Hugs, kisses, touches, all the magic of love are the things that draw two people together. True love is happening. The friends that have joined together to celebrate Ani and Tyler’s wedding in Milwaukee were invited to share different festivities for the duo. Caleb D’Angelo and Samantha Bashar are physicians working in Milaukee’s Children’s Hospital in the large Wisconsin facility. He is the good looking, single pediatric orthopedic resident and she is the anesthesiologist who assists many during surgery.
Take Me to the Wedding will be published on May 09, 2025 by Hawthorne House Press. I was able to read Liasson’s latest novel via NetGalley. Her invitation to me was a delight. It is the second of The Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff series. Samantha didn’t think she was ready for finding that kind of love. Her job was her number one priority. Upon graduating she hoped to secure a spot in pediatrics anesthesiology. Many of her friends had coupled up and were prepping for their futures. Sam had her own life to secure as well as getting her sister started down the medical path. Caleb is a talented bone doc and loves working with children. His plan is to head back to his home to take a spot in Oak Bluff. He would be around his family and the practice that he was familiar with.
Take Me to the Wedding was a pleasant, entertaining story that shows readers how dedicated the staff of children’s hospitals are. Her delightful stories are always heartwarming. Be certain to select this novel!

Heartwarming rom-com done the Liasson way
For readers who like the romance in a rom-com to be sweet, little angsty but wonderful, Ms. Liasson is for you! She can write the sweetest stories without getting syrupy about it. In reading the very end of the book, I saw where Ms. Liasson was a former pediatrician so writing a series about young doctors sounds perfect for her. If you enjoy clean but passionate stories with humor and a wonderful cast of characters, you really need to read her books. Start with this one!
Dr. Caleb D’Angelo is just finishing up his fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and hoping to go home to Oak Bluff to practice. At the moment, he is planning to attend and be in the wedding of his friends: Ani and Tyler. Also attending will be several others including “the love of his life” Lilly and the woman anesthesiologist who drives him crazy, our FMC: Dr. Samantha Bashar. They squabble constantly. And, they are neighbors so the angry words don’t stay at work. Can they get through the wedding festivities without killing each other or ruining the wedding? So much happens and the reader discovers so much about Caleb, Samantha and Lilly. Sam’s back story is touching. Caleb’s attention is just what this doctor ordered for a wonderful and entrancing story. I’ll admit that there were times when Sam irritated me but I chalk it up to good writing. I am already looking forward to Ani’s story next. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through NetGalley.
Pssst: Look for the scene that inspired the cover of this book!

This is the second book in Miranda Liasson’s The Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff series of contemporary romance, although it’s about a different couple and can stand alone. Some of the featured tropes are enemies to lovers, sister’s best friend, matchmaker, and forced proximity. If you enjoy Hallmark movies, you’ll probably enjoy this clean romance between coworkers Dr. Samantha Bashar (best friend of Mia from the first book) and Dr. Caleb D’Angelo (Mia’s brother).

The story is told from Sam and Caleb’s dual points of view. I adored orthopedist Caleb from the very beginning. He’s sweet and protective and good with kids, although he can certainly spar with Sam. Anesthesiologist Sam was hard to like at first because she was so abrasive. However, she regrets having gossiped about Caleb, spreading a lie that hurts his chances to reignite a romance with his first love, Lilly, and she attempts to make amends. Over the course of the story, we learn why she tends to push people away, and she softens into a character I could root for.

Overall, this was an enjoyable romance with some sweet scenes between the main characters as well as with their family members and friends. The D’Angelo family are so supportive, and I especially loved the touching scenes between Sam and Caleb’s mom.

The language is clean, there’s an injury but no violence, and sexual activity takes place off the page, so this would be appropriate for a wide audience.

Thanks to Hawthorne House for providing me with a free advanced review copy through NetGalley. I volunteered to provide an honest review.

I love a best friend's brother romance trope. Make them co-workers and adversaries who are the last to realize all that friction between them signals something far different from aggravation simmering beneath the surface and I am well and truly hooked. Liasson uses all of the above in her newest novel, Take Me to the Wedding.

I am loving this series. Split between the small town of Oak Bluff and the city children's hospital where Sam and Caleb work, this second book in the series is filled with the humor, heartwarming charm, and emotional depth I've come to expect from a Miranda Liasson novel. I love the family dynamics (Caleb's mom is a favorite), the strong friendships, the sweet romance, the snappy banter, and the heart tugs that come from the kids the docs work with at the hospital. It makes me even more invested in these characters.

The ensemble cast adds rich texture to the story, catching readers up with characters from book one and introducing new characters I hope we'll be seeing in future books. I feel like these characters have become friends and I'm eager to see all of them (or at least the ones I like) happily snuggled up with their soulmates.

You don't have to have read book one, Take Me Home for Christmas first in order to enjoy book two though there are crossover characters. I enthusiastically recommend both.

We are back with another touching story about a group of young doctors who are starting to discover a future outside their professions.
Samantha/Sam Bashar is a pediatric anesthesiologist whose childhood was not the best until she and her much younger sister were taken by their grandmother, a matchmaker.
Sam doesn’t really believe in love and is very competitive . She’s determined to take care of her sister and stay her course.
Meanwhile, Caleb D’Angelo, almost finished with his pediatric orthopedic internship, comes from a boisterous Oak Bluff family who is loud and full of love .
At first they seem as compatible as water and oil but when they are forced into proximity during a drive to a friend’s wedding, each discovers that what seems to be true is not. Especially when Sam apologizes for a rumor that started by her about Caleb and has agreed to help him reconnect with his old love.
As they get to know each other, feelings develop. But can they trust these feelings? Can Caleb show Sam that love is possible even for her?
The plot was engaging and the characters perfect in their imperfections. A reminder that sometimes the “exterior” of ourselves that we show to the world , is really covering our true feelings and fears.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Hawthorne House. the opinions expressed are solely my own.

Take Me to the Wedding is the second novel in Miranda Liasson’s Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff series. Dr. Samantha Bashar, anesthesiologist, is best of friends with pediatric oncologist Dr. Mia D’Angelo, however Sam finds it hard to be in the same room with Mia’s brother, Dr. Caleb D’Angelo, orthopedic surgeon. When Sam and Caleb first met there might have been an attraction, but when he left her hanging at midnight on a New Year’s Eve the division began and continued to spread with them picking at one another regularly. It doesn’t help any that they have apartments across the hall from each other.

It also doesn’t help that they are both scheduled to be a part of colleague and pediatrician Ani’s weddings as she marries Tyler Banks in just a few weeks. They will need to endure the weekend country outing planned in lieu of bachelor and bachelorette parties. Then, there will be the wedding festivities and events back in the same country locale. This in mind, Caleb extends an olive branch and even asks Sam to help him win back his former girlfriend Lilly. But this just might backfire in unforeseen ways.

This is a fun novel, but it touches on difficult topics as well. The characters are well written and endearing. I very much enjoyed this book, as I did the first in the series, and not only recommend it but I also look forward to the next book in the series.

Samantha and Caleb are colleagues, both doctors and because of listening to the ramblings of another collogue, Sam might have made a big mistake that caused him to blow up his personal life. And now she must find away to right this wrong.
So when they both have to be in a wedding or their good friends, Sam puts her matchmaking skills, learned from her grandmother to work and helps Caleb get his first love back. There is only one problem, Sam is falling in love with Caleb and she knows Lily is not right for Caleb. But what is a girl to do... Especially when Caleb feels that Sam is his sworn enemy and he starts to see a different side of Sam.
I really liked this book. There was lots of great frenemy moments between the two adversaries and you could feel the chemistry with Sam and Caleb building with each moment they are together. And when you bring kissing into the picture that just heats up the story and brings them closer together. I loved that we have a whole cast of characters from book one in this series to make this a delightful read. It has lots of family and friendships and humour that make it real and enjoyable to read. It's a book that you will want on your TBR shelf.
I received an ARC through Netgalley and all option's are my own.

Miranda Liasson wrote another amazing story that just blew me away. I love how she always draws me in from the beginning until the end. I didn't want to stop reading because I wanted to get to the good stuff. This is the perfect enemies to lovers book!

Samantha and Caleb work together at the hospital and don't get along. Not only do they work together they also live across from each other in the same building. Just when you think they can't spend more time together they have a wedding to attend together. Now they have to spend more time with friends and family.

These two have such great banter and I just loved it!! Caleb is still in love with his ex Lilly so he expects to rekindle his love for her at this wedding with some help from Sam. But then he starts seeing a different side of Lilly that he's not really into and starts seeing a new side to Sam. Things get really interesting while they are away and you will have such a good time getting to know all these characters.

I had so many LOL moment, I was swooning, smiling and left with a wonderful ending! I highly recommend this book!

Miranda Liasson is the one author that I know I can always turn to for sweet, heartfelt, small town modern day romance. Her stories put you right in the thick of the hardships and highlights of relationships and Take Me to the Wedding was no different.
Caleb and Samantha are doctors at the same children's hospital in Milwaukee who really don't care for each other, but are forced to get along for the sake of their friends and family (Caleb's sister is Mia, Samantha's best friend). When an upcoming wedding forces them together, they are forced to spend a weekend together with all of their friends and Caleb's college sweetheart (who he is trying to rekindle a relationship with) while trying to be civil to one another. The dynamic between Samantha and Caleb is so fun and I really enjoyed the way their characters found themselves in that weekend. They both allowed themselves to be open to new experiences and open to things they hadn't realized they were feeling.
The banter, found family and love that Miranda Liasson puts into all of her books will always have me coming back for more. She does it in such a natural way that you feel like part of the group and I do love her happy endings 🩵
Caleb and Samantha's was so very sweet indeed🥂

Dr. Samantha Bashar and Dr. Caleb D'Angelo are like fire and ice. It is almost like they just try to get under each other's skin, although neither would admit it. They have to work together, which means they need to get along, but sometimes things are easier said than done.

When they are forced to spend time together for a wedding, I knew we were in for a fun time. The witty, whip sharp banter between these two was interesting to say the least. Samantha was fiery and opinionated, but she was also a protector. Caleb believes that Samantha has ruined his chances with his first love. Both are exceptional doctors, and they truly care about others. There is nothing more romantic than a wedding, even when you are quite obviously fighting feelings. This is a lesson in the fact that sometimes we make assumptions about others, and those assumptions are completely incorrect.

This is another wonderful installment in the Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff series. Romance and a little laughter along the way make this a perfect weekend read.

I LOVED this book so so much! If I could give it more than 5 stars I absolutely would. Miranda Liasson is a top favorite author of mine, and I love all of her books. But I have to say, this is my new favorite of hers. Dr. Caleb D’ Angelo is my new book boyfriend. A cinnamon roll / golden retriever. A Pediatric Ortho. I love a good guy and bonus points if he’s good with kids and animals. Dr. Caleb had it all. He falls first. I really liked Dr. Samantha Bashar, a Pediatric anesthesiologist, too. She’s more cynical about love, whereas Caleb is a romantic. A definite must read for your Summer tbr. A perfect Summer read. Heartwarming, full of family, I loved Caleb’s mother. Friends. A sweet little boy, Caleb and Samantha’s patient, Joseph. And a rambunctious boy, Tate ‘Tater.’ And a cute, rambunctious Yellow Lab puppy. I didn’t like Caleb’s ex, Lilly, but that just made me root for Caleb and Samantha even more. Samantha and Caleb’s friend Ani’s fiancée, Tyler was annoying. I can see this as a Hallmark movie on their Summer movie lineup. I couldn’t, or I should say, didn’t want to put this book down.

Sam and Caleb are coworkers, neighbors, and get on each other’s nerves to no end. It doesn’t help that Caleb is also the older brother of Sam’s best friend. They’re both supposed to be in an upcoming wedding party and have vowed to try to get along. Also in the wedding party is Caleb’s former love, Lilly, whom he would like to rekindle a relationship with. But an incident at work leads to the spread of a tidbit of gossip, which leads Lilly to give Caleb the cold shoulder, and Caleb is not happy. Because of her part in the incident, Sam vows to help him get Lilly back whether he wants her help or not. The more time Caleb spends with Lilly, the more he sees her in a different light, and he's not sure it’s a positive one. Yet the more he sees of Sam has him having a change of heart about his feelings for her. Sam is also noticing Caleb in a different way. Could there be something sparking between them other than their former antagonism toward each other?

A heartwarming story!

This was such a great book! In this story we have Sam and Caleb two doctors who do not like each other very much. Caleb tries to get Sam kicked off a case of one of their patients, sparking a very fiery reaction from her. Sam cannot stand that Caleb is interfering in her work but needs to keep on ok terms with him because he is her best friend’s brother and they both are involved in a wedding coming up soon. When Sam finds out he is so mad at her because she might have messed up his chance getting back together with his ex, she vows to try to help him win her back at the wedding. But what neither of them count on is that spending time together working on that goal might just reveal that getting back together with his ex isn’t what he really wants after all. I loved both of these main characters and their growth in this story so much! This book also had great side characters, scenery, and so many swoon worthy moments. I loved everything about it! A great enemies to lovers story. I received an ARC, and this is my honest review.

Often the line between love and hate is very blurry, and that is true for Dr. Samantha Bashar and Dr. Caleb D’Angelo. Sam and Caleb have a rocky relationship at work and as neighbors, poking at each other whenever they can. They are both standing up in a wedding for a friend, along with Caleb’s sister and his ex-girlfriend, the “one that got away” when he started med school. Caleb believes that Sam has hampered his chances to get back with Lilly and so she says she will help him fix it. In the meantime, Sam’s younger sister is struggling with her own relationship, both with her boyfriend and her older sister who has acted in some ways as a mother to her. While preparing for the wedding and helping Sam’s sister, Sam and Caleb are forced to spend a lot of time together and they realize that the line is getting very blurry for them. They fight their current feelings and have to adjust what they thought they want, but sometimes you just can’t help but fall in love. I really liked this story and can’t wait for the next one!

4.5 stars!

When enemies become lovers.

Samantha and Caleb can't stand each other. They can't be in the same room or breathe the same air. At first, I couldn't imagine why the two had such animosity for each other. She was his sister's best friend. She knew his family. Samantha ends up needing a ride to a weekend getaway for the wedding party, of which they are both in. Caleb wants this chance to get back together with his ex, but why is bothered when his friend Quinn is talking with Samantha? Samantha wants to help Caleb get his ex back, but when she places hands on them at the same time, she feels nothing (a family trait she feels she doesn't have the skills to use for predicting love) As the story progressed, we got to know why Samantha felt the way she did about Caleb, but also how they both come to realize that their hatred for each other stems from a misunderstanding. This was a sweet, closed door romance that nearly brought me to tears.

Another hit from Miranda Liason! Take me to the wedding is an enemies to lovers story. Samantha and Caleb work together but don’t like each other. They are both apart of their mutual friends wedding. They also happen to be neighbors. So when Samantha needs a ride to the wedding Caleb is the ride.

Caleb thinks he wants to get back together with his high school sweetheart Lilly. He’s mad a Sam for talking bad about him where Lilly overheard. He convinces Samantha to help him get Lilly back. He slowly realizes that Lilly is the the same girl she was in high school. Not is he the same guy he was back then.

When he falls down and cliff when trying to save a little boy. and Sam tries to save him and ends up at the bottom with him. They start to find their attaraction to each other. That’s when Lilly all the sudden decides that she does want Caleb . Since he’s a hero for saving the boy.

Who will Caleb choose?? Read to find out!

Title: Take Me to the Wedding
Author: Miranda Liasson
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review: Miranda Liasson's Take Me to the Wedding is a delightful blend of wit, warmth, and slow-burn romance. Set against the backdrop of a friend’s wedding, the story follows Dr. Samantha Bashar and Dr. Caleb D’Angelo—rivals, neighbors, and soon-to-be something more. When Sam accidentally disrupts Caleb’s romantic plans, the two agree to work together, only to discover unexpected chemistry beneath their banter.
I really enjoyed this light, closed-door romance—it struck the perfect balance of humor and heart. The emotional growth, strong character dynamics, and charming small-town setting make it a satisfying read. I’ll definitely be visiting other books in the Amazing Doctors of Oak Bluff series!

I received an ARC of this book and I like it! I am such a fan of Grey's Anatomy and this book reminded me of some of the plots and characters of Grey's. The fact that everyone knows everyone, everyone is related, and everyone is together brought the book a lot of the Grey's energy we love.

I love Sam and Caleb and their banters all throughout the book. I also love their journey to falling in love. I also love the tight friendship that they have with their friends in Oak Bluff. But, I must admit that I need some back stories for some of the characters (which I believed was mentioned and set in the 1st Oak Bluff book). I got curious and would want to read that as well (also the next one about Ani).

This is a sweet and easy-read rom-com which will make you swoon especially if you like small towns, doctors, cute animaks, and weddings.
