Sarah Allison crafts an absolutely immersive world in The Truths Within Lies. The world-building is nothing short of stunning.

I felt like I was right there alongside the Renegades, experiencing every twist, battle, and secret unfold. Sarah has an incredible talent for placing the reader inside the moment, making it feel like you are right in the action.

The FMC is delightfully complex: flawed, stubborn, and unapologetically real. She’s the kind of “unlikeable” that feels intentional and refreshing, a departure from the polished perfection often seen in fantasy heroines.

And that ending? It had me audibly gasping, heart pounding, desperate to see where the story leads next.

Hard to get into at first and was very dense character wise and hard to keep them straight. The main character is the kingdoms heir and she gets kidnapped by rebels and there whole communication ticked me off a little because both were expected to trust and respect the other but obviously both sides felt betrayed and why would the heir trust you when you literally kidnapped her and why would the rebels trust and respect the sheltered heir who looks down on them. At times it just didn’t seem realistic.

Yes yes yes!! This had amazing worldbuilding, a different kind of FMC but you’ll understand her more and more through her story.
It was actionpacked and the twists were not expected at all!
