Catalyst is the fifth and final book in Sarah Hawke's best-selling space opera series The Lost Fleet.
Sarah Hawke is a prolific writer of science fiction and fantasy in multiple genres, including erotica, harem, and bondage. Her books are known for their intricate world-building, twisting plots, and fleshed-out characters—and of course their many intense, steamy sex scenes.
If you are interested in "pure" traditional harem stories, The Lost Fleet is the perfect place to start! Wings of the Seraph is a shorter, older series but also hits most of the traditional harem notes. Shadow of the Seraph features a rotating male and female pov with some F-F scenes involving temporary futanari, so avoid that unless it is your jam!
Her fantasy universe features many types of erotica stories involving bondage (Elf Slave, all the Spider Queen books) and non-traditional harems (The Amazon's Pledge, The Amazon's Vengeance). She also has two ongoing fantasy erotica series with intense action and multiple points of view, War of the White Throne and The Blade of Highwind.
This has been another strong entry into this series by the author. The space opera elements and the diplomacy and solving of matters by the MC are well done. I like the MC, and the various harem members are vastly different from each other. And they manage to slowly but surely break down walls between each other despite their racial tensions.
I very much look forward to book 6, which will wrap up this series.
This series is excellent and this book a very worthy addition. I am certainly happy I picked it up and read it. The author does an awesome joy of keeping the reader guessing which way the winds of the plot will blow while maintaining the integrity of the characters. Just very good, solid writing by a highly polished author.
Wow! This series started with Incursion and I was hooked. Every book kept getting bigger and better, and this finale was explosive. Sarah Hawke really brought this one home. Kal’s been on an incredible journey.
The writing was top-notch, the steam was scorching, and the romance was well done. These character arcs really came to fruition.
Overall, well written and a fun read. Very nice balance of the different characters and themes with a little critique typical of multiple books in a series. Almost every author seems to get wordy trying to stretch the storyline. The writer shows great promise in future endeavors.
An absolutely amazing universe the author has created for us the reader!!! If you don't get lost in this series for hours and hours you aren't appreciating what the author has created!!! I can't wait for more!!! Outstanding!!!
This was a great ending to this series and that the MC and his girls got the end they deserved. While there are still some unresolved issues in the end, it's already stated that the story will continue in a new series, so I am looking forward to this continuation.
This is a satisfactory but rushed ending to the series. It starts off great but it feels like Sarah realized she had done too much, was over 3/4 of the way into the story then remembered it is the last book in the series and she actually needed to end the book so we run right into the finale.
It felt like there wasn’t really anywhere left for these characters to go, as they’re a bit one note, but luckily it all got wrapped up before I became too bored to continue. If only every author were so self-aware.
