Demon Time: Confessions Of A Pimp

Rate this book
Demon and Silence have never had it easy, but survival is all they’ve ever known.

Demon, hardened by a life of struggle and betrayal, has always believed that relying on anyone would only lead to disappointment. At eighteen, he’s managed to rise above his past, staying focused on one making money. And he's done it well. The only hitch in his plan? Silence—the one person who knew him best, and the one who betrayed him for her own gain. Now, she's back, and she needs his help. Demon swore he'd never let her back into his life, but there’s something about Silence that always makes him question everything.

Silence, meanwhile, is used to playing by her own rules. Using her beauty and wit to get what she wants, she’s never let anyone stand in her way—except maybe Demon. He's the only person who’s ever made her feel something real, and walking away from him was the hardest thing she's ever done. But now, with her world crumbling, she needs him more than ever. Even if it means facing the consequences of the life she's chosen.

As old feelings resurface, their relationship becomes a dangerous dance between trust and survival. The stakes are higher than ever, and both Demon and Silence must decide if they’re willing to risk everything for a second chance—or if some scars run too deep to heal.

Definitely A Must Read

With the way Demon and Silence grew up. I can wholeheartedly understand while he's closed off and emotionally unavailable but I can't understand how Silence turned into a manipulative, disloyal, scandalous ass hoe but then again. Silence is like her mother Keisha except Silence isn't a crackhead. Demon mother Renee and Silence mother Keisha treated them horrible. Demon had to rob and steal just to make sure him and Silence ate. Demon was also traumatized from his mother and Keisha allowing his innocence to be stolen at 8 year's old. Silence was Demon best friend at one point and he protected her with his life. Even taking a life after Silence was violated. Being rescued by Ice. Demon thought him and Silence would at least be living better. Demon learned quickly that his father Ice wasn't s**t but a pimp who used Demon to do his dirty work. Demon and Silence friendship took a turn for the worst when Silence because one of Ice hoes. Ice knew Silence was Demon weakness and he try to play on that. Silence begging Ice to put her on his team, choosing to screwing, and becoming his bottom b***h. Caused a rift in Demon and Silence friendship. Demon lost all respect for Silence to the point he couldn't stand her. What really had Demon hating Silence. Was her pillow talking with Ice and telling him about what happened to Demon when they were kid's. Silence was scandalous as hell for telling Demon business because Ice used it as a weapon when Demon didn't do something he wanted. I was glad Demon got away from Ice because Ice started showing jealousy towards his own son. He also tried talking crazy to Demon until he got checked. Demon should've never went and helped Silence. Glo tried to warn him that Silence wasn't going to cause nothing but trouble. Which is true although Glo turned out to be scandalous too. Silence obsession with Demon is crazy. Any woman that get closed to him. Her psychotic side come out. She did have every reason to fight Dulce though. Dulce violated Demon in the worst way. I believe Glo knew the truth about Dulce. That's why they robbed Demon and ran. I like Silver. She's a sweetheart. Plus she's nurturing and I believe she is the woman to melt the ice around Demon heart but with Silence there witnessing their relationship flourish. Jealousy is rearing it's ugly head. Silence hate seeing how soft Demon is with Silver. Demon need to stay alert because after helping Silence dumb ass. He have the Dominican mafia after him. Which is Silver baby daddy Angel. For Angel to be filthy rich. He's a damn dead beat. He knows Silver is in school, working a job, and taking care of their son while he does the bare minimum and his trifling ass is also screwing her cousin Tammy. The way this ended I just shook my head. I felt sorry for Demon because something have happened to Silver and the person that played a part in Silence. I also believe somebody saw what Silence did to that girl.

They say trauma can either make you or break you in this case both Silence and Demon parents both failed them it’s sad that both of their children had trust issues and is now living the life like their parents Silence especially she definitely need to heal because by the way she keep going she will loose Demon and it’s sad she had to kill someone Demon finally can trust because she jealous he will love and protect other than Silence can’t wait to read part 2 to see how Demon will handle Silence once he finds out what she did to his girl
