For Beck and her mother, Lovely, the serene island life they’ve carefully built is about to be upended. Plans for a quiet holiday with no guests at their popular Coquina House Bed & Breakfast are disrupted when they agree to host a trio of last-minute guests. At seventy-five, Lovely is thriving—healthy, happy, and finally spending her life with Beck, the daughter she never had a chance to raise. But when a figure from the past steps into her home—and heart—in a way she never dreamed possible, Lovely faces the daunting task of reimagining her entire life.

Meanwhile, Beck is standing at her own crossroads. Her newfound love, Oliver, is torn between his native Australia and their idyllic life in Coconut Key. When an opportunity arises that could give Oliver everything he wants, Beck must make a difficult pursue her own dreams of happiness or sacrifice everything for the man she loves.

As a new year dawns on Coconut Key, there's a wedding on the horizon and babies on the way, so celebration should be in the air. But will the changes, choices, and challenges ahead bring an end to this family’s hard-won happiness?

We are back in Coconut Key! I have missed Lovey and her extended family. This book is a wonderful surprise, as well as full of surprises. I should known that the story was not finished.

It is a delightful reunion of family, surprises, and drama that only this family can create. But it is the compassion and multiple chances that warms my heart. We witness this loving family grow, with a story that pulls you in and does not let go.

If you have been following this series, it was a book we did not know we needed.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

It is great to catch up with all the family members, meet new family, and visit Coconut Key again. Hope brings this area alive so well that you just want to go visit. Loved this story!

The Coconut Key series of books were the first works of Hope Holloway’s that I read. It’s where I fell in love with Coconut Key, the characters of the series, and with Hope’s wonderful writing. This return to Coconut Key is a wonderful reunion and catch-up with those beloved characters, and so much more! More surprises, more drama, more of this wonderful family, and more love! More emotion and more of that heartwarming hug the author does so well. Hope does a great job of filling in the spaces for someone who picks this up without having read the whole series, but my recommendation is to start at the beginning. It’s such a delightful adventure!

Old Memories Pop Up Unexpectedly!

Hope Holloway writes the most excellent series and the eighth book in the Coconut Keys' series is no exception. All of Hope's books draw you in with such reality that you feel like you're coming back to see what old friends are doing over New Year's. You never feel like you're spying in on the lives
of friends you know so well, you become part of the story itself.
I believe only the very best authors bring you on a journey with them as you can feel the excitement, the happiness and love of all the intertwined lives. You choke up in sad passages, laugh and chuckle when the plan comes together, you can feel remorse when a heart is hurting and Joy at the birth of a new baby or a wedding that almost crashed and burned but at the ceremony you can hear the pastors words and be transfixed back to your own happiness or the hope of that happiness for yourself someday. The writer gives you the ability to change your mind and your future.
When two people are being extra stubborn, you weep when they finally find each other and you know they will be spending their remaining years rejoicing in the love that they foolishly let slip away twenty, forty or sixty years ago. Hope Holloway gives you all this and more in each of her books..they become even more amazing as the series goes along.
If you haven't read the Coconut Key series, start with the first book and enjoy every wonderful episode of this wonderful blended family! You owe it to yourself to read each series Hope has authored.

(PS.. Please excuse the run on sentences- it was the only way for me to explain the stories!)

My heart. This book. I thought we were finished with this series but Hope Holloway had one more wonderful story in her pocket and it just may be my favorite of all the books she’s written.

I have so much love for these characters, for this family. I sighed, I cried, I cheered. I don't think it's possible for Hope Holloway to write a book that does not touch me emotionally but even among the many heart-tugging stories from her various book series, A New Year in the Keys stands out. It celebrates life, love, and multiple generations of family. It's achingly romantic. And, I have no doubt, to the delight of hordes of readers (like me) who rarely see themselves depicted in this manner, it features soul-stirring romance for a vibrant character in her seventies. It is never too late to fall in love just as it's never too late to fall in love with Hope Holloway's beautiful stories.

I thought Hope Holloway’s Coconut Key series was complete with book 7. Then the author decided to add more to the story with book 8, A New Year in the Keys. What a wonderful and heartwarming continuation to the series! Lovely’s and Beck’s family continue to grow in unimaginable ways. This book has so many emotional feelings: heartache, confusion, drama, compassion, support, second chances, and most importantly, support and love of family. There is always more love to give with this extended family! I recommend the entire Coconut Keys series!

I've read all the Coconut Key books and enjoyed them, but this one was more predictable. Also, it was more faith-oriented. That aspect has been present in previous books, but it's a lot more dominant in this one. For example, when a couple meets with their (male) minister for premarital counseling, a story problem is solved when she agrees her husband-to-be will be making the important family decisions. The men were pleased but this reader, less so. The book description might have indicated this was an important aspect of the book.

I absolutely adored the return to Coconut Key. Book 7 wrapped things up nicely but this was the update I didn’t know I needed! I loved all the updates on the families, but this was an interesting twist and turn with a big focus on Beck and Lovely. And you do NOT want to miss this exciting return to the Keys. I felt heartbreak and love and pain and tears but also hope. And honestly the ending took my breath away. Love. Love. Love.

A New Year in the Keys by Hope Holloway ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thank you thank you Hope for releasing/adding another book to the Coconut Key series. I see now why it was weighting on your heart to write another book.

It was heartfelt and gave me goosebumps while reading this book. It really does complete the series (must read books 1-7 first).

I loved reading what's happening now with all the Beck's children.

Beck and Lovely along with the family are in for a new shock with this instalment and I'm not going to lie there were times I didn't like Eddie or Olipop and hated how Beck and Lovely were giving unimaginable requests. I also agreed with Blanche to a certain extent about how soon things were happening, but she also hadn't opened her heart to the changes.
This is choc full of happiness as well as some speed wobbles, but Coconut Key always delivers in building families and love.

Hope Holloway created a perfect story that continues the Coconut Keys series in Book 8; a story that pulls you in from page one and doesn’t let go. It’s a story of love, family, and intrigue; and one that will leave you captivated until the end. I loved catching up with Lovely, Beck, Peyton, Savannah, Kenny, their families, and the Cali crew and so will you!

WOW!!!!!

This was just beautiful, the perfect love for Lovely. A father for Beck , and more family to meet and get to know. Oh and lets not forget a wedding as well. All I can say is you will not regret reading this book or this series. Hardships yes but love and family first and foremost. This is the book in the series I didn't know I needed. Thank you for a beautiful story.

I was so moved by the storyline of this book, I couldn't put it down. This book could be a hit novel by itself but I highly recommend the entire series. One of my all time favorite series. Thank you Hope Holloway for your captivating writing.

What an ending to this series

I don't know why this book really spoke to me but it did. Maybe because I'm almost 74 and have been blessed to be with the love of my life and the wonderful family we have. This series really needed Book 8!

Once again Hope has knocked it out of the universe. The series was about how so many fractured families are out there but circle around when you through love in the mix you respect for each other

Hope Holloway has taken the lives of the Ames, Foster, Frye, Sanchez and Sylvester family lives and summed them all up neatly with this last book. Such drama and happiness all tied together in life and love. Well done!!

I loved this series because the characters had real hardships and human flaws that we can all relate to…there were lots of tears while reading! Hope there will be more in the series.
