A spicy dual romance set in the town of Between, Nevada, where residents know there are two sides to every curse.
Luc’s White I’d peaked at twenty-two, developing a billion-dollar cleaning product that took over the world, but left me with nothing but piles of cash and a big void in my life where passion should’ve been. When I got hit with the Wayward Warbler’s curse, I thought hey, at least it would give me something to do with my days. I didn’t realize Cordelia Park and her baby girl would appear right after that bird. I was into Delia instantly and when I started reading minds (thanks curse) I knew she wanted me too, but her aversion to our age difference was a lot to overcome. Good thing I knew just what moves to make thanks to that curse. I just had to hope she still wanted me when I admitted what I’d done to get her between the sheets.
Brynne’s Dirty Forensic accounting was my life. Literally. I did nothing but eat, sleep, and account. I hoped for a promotion to get me to Vegas where the real work was, but I had to solve the Gallo brothers’ case before being considered. I hit one dead end after another until I got cursed. It led to intel that would close the case, but I had to get the grumpy middle brother, Kane Gallo, to come clean. When the curse manifested and I could project my thoughts to make people do what I wanted, I accidentally asked Kane to teach me about sex instead of his money laundering. Oops. I blame his sex appeal for that. And for a round girl like me, the only way I’d ever be able to snag someone that hunky, so I went with it. If I played my cards right, I’d get an education from the hottest man in Between and a promotion.
This is another Curse of Between novella featuring two people, two stories, and one curse. Tropes include reverse age gap (older woman), single mom, hot nerd; Plus-sized inexperienced FMC, boxer with a morally gray past, mafia romance. Both stories are spicy and have a HEA.
This is a stand-alone novel. It’s unnecessary to read the first book, READ BETWEEN THE GRINDS before this one, though it would give readers some context for the curse’s backstory.

This book is really good. It’s fast paced and kept me engaged and wanting to know more. I like the dual book point of views. It kept you guessing. The light half was good and “clean” while the dark half was “dirty”. Definitely would read again and recommend to people who like supernatural and romance. Although I will never look at bread sticks the same again lol.

I liked the interconnection between two stories in one book. And how one is a lighter read while the other is a bit darker. I liked each of the characters and thought the curses were great lessons.
