About the author

Carlos A. Rodriguez is originally from Puerto Rico but met his British darling Catherine while they were both involved in Catch The Fire Toronto. He was interning for pastor John Arnott while she was small group leading at the School of Ministry. After four years of pastoring together in the Caribbean and after three years of leading the Fire Network in Raleigh they now function as lead pastors of Catch The Fire Raleigh.

They have been reaching the city through prophetic evangelism, loving the poor and mentoring students while multiplying radical leaders and having lots of fun! Carlos is a passionate speaker who loves to challenge the “status quo” and Catherine loves to prophesy, give hugs and see the Spirit release His fullness. They are both passionate about revival, their boys Alejandro and Sebastian, their upcoming adoption, and chocolate.

Only a few pages into the book, I was in awe at the Father's love for me. I had to pause my reading to write revelations down. It allowed me to think of my father and God the Father in new perspectives and opened up my heart for healing and renewed strength.

I read this book in Romanian, so I am sure there are parts I didn't understand as clearly as I could've, but I really enjoyed this book. My favorite chapter was chapter 4, on the orphan heart. I loved it because I work with orphans, but it also helped me recognize areas where I also have an orphan's heart, which has helped me relate to the kids I work with more and understand where I can better speak the Gospel into their lives.

I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway. In requesting this book, I didn't realize it had such a religious overtone, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I just don't feel like the book really markets itself as a religious inspirational book, which it is. Designed for Inheritance is an uplifting book in a very spiritual way. I feel like this book would work very well with a religious person in search of something positive, but this may not work so well with a person without faith.
