Every Omega dreams of a pack…I just want to stay alive.
Overnight, my casual hookup turns into a psycho who leaves me battered and bruised. With no money, my nightmare gets worse when he burns my home and everything I own to the ground.
So, I do what any scared, self-respecting Omega does, and run. Hiding in a new city with a fresh approach to staying alive, I keep my head down until I get caught in crossfire. When I choose to play Good Samaritan to one man over the other, I stumble into their world.
I don’t get stolen by them, not bought either. They need me to fake pack so they can claim back their mafia crown. I need the payout they offer and a place to recover. They agree to wear scent blockers if I wear something for them.
Their whispered promises and lingering touches almost have me believing, but it turns out we’re all hiding some rather large secrets.
Except the biggest surprise is when Pack De Luca say this thing of ours has never been fake in their eyes.
Of course, nothing is ever what it seems. The deceit we walk in on is shocking, with far reaching consequences.
But there’s no way I’m letting my past take them away from me. Not when I’ve finally found something worth fighting for.
Lucy's female leads are strong, intelligent, feisty bombshells who always get the happy ever after they deserve. After a bit of drama and angst, of course.
And when Lucy's not writing, she's reading about strong FMC's finding their happy ever after.
3 stars. This started off pretty good. The first like, third maybe, was entertaining and fun. And then it just kept going…and going. And it just seemed like it was never going to end…
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ “There’s no better way to start the day than between the legs of a beautiful woman. And since you are mine, like you agreed, I want to taste your cunt.”
This was a fun read! I loved the blend of sweet Omegaverse goodness and dark Mafia vibes—MMCs who were stabby with everyone but their omega, who they would burn everything down to protect.
I loved the twin alphas, Valentine and Dante, but the standout character was the sexy beta, Matteo. It’s like he was written just for me. Violent, cheeky, and very naughty. Scent matches be damned; I want the emotional connection a beta brings to the relationship. Feelings > pheromones.
This Thing of Ours is a fast burn and very spicy why choose MFMM romance where the FMC is the center of the pack. It is a complete standalone and ends in a HEA.
It took me 3 days to read this, I usually read a book in less than a day but this could just not keep my attention at all. I wanted to dnf so many times but it was mafia, omegaverse, fmc on the run, no owd, I should have loved this and I kept waiting to love it and for it to hook me in but unfortunately it just dragged and I got so bored. The 2 stars are for the beginning of the book because it started so well before it went downhill.
Multi pov Omegaverse with no mm Mafia Fmc on the run/hiding No owd/omd No third act breakup HFN
This was my first read from this author and I will definitely be adding more of her works to my TBR!
This dark Omegaverse book is a reverse harem with a well thought out plot but plenty of spice! Oh my the drama kept you hooked to each page.
I really enjoyed how strong Layne was despite the trauma she’s been through. Her fiery personality came out no matter what was thrown at her, while still being realistic in emotional reactions during harder moments.
Matteo the beta was definitely my favorite boy. His sass and confidence was unmatched, and oh my was he into some PDA.
Yeah, this author just doesn't work for me 😭😭😭 I swear I really tried. I had to re-read parts, questioned other bits, and just couldn't get into the writing honestly. The beginning is so fast-paced it is kind of whiplash because it feels like nothing is happening until the characters start dropping bombs of things they did off page. Like... what?
UGH a really interesting premise, I'm so bummed this ended up not being for me.
The love and acceptance thro7ghout this novel was fantastic. I love that the guys were all in from the very beginning. No third act break ups, no doubt of the relationship, only a path of healing of past trauma.
4.5 stars: Lucy Scott Bryan has one of those unique qualities that allows her to really entrance you with her characters and their backstories to such an extent that one simply could not put the book down. Although it is a busy working week, I did spend my evening way past midnight following Laney's journey.
Initially, I expected a dark Mafia OV, but what I got was so much better. It was genuine, strong, obsessive and utterly consuming love story, well technically love stories as the FMC develops and nurtures those with each of the main heroes throughout the book.
Matteo was the charmer for me, and perhaps due to the fact that he is a beta, I could easily see how inevitable it was for the FMC to fall hard. Dante, unhinged and daring in his quest was that sheer thrill that allowed Laney to really grasp the possibilities that this union could offer. Valentine, the leader of Pack De Luca - daring, focused and determined to prove worthy of Laney's trust. I loved all three of them and would have to say that it was not the case where one stood out more for me than the other. Together, they are quite the trio and our main heroine is the missing piece of this solid family unit. As far as FMCs go, Laney was a delight. Yes, she was hesitant, scared to put her trust with the De Luca pack and uncertain about the future. However, when push came to shove, she faced her past, embraced her feelings and opened her heart to those that were worthy of it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read and despite the dark and twisted pasts that each of the characters has, this is one heart- warming love story as that thing of theirs is authentic, unparalleled and utterly soul fulfilling.
This Thing of Ours is a standalone, why choose, fake relationship, mafia, omegaverse romance. The story is full of action, emotion, steam, and plenty of surprises.
This is a terrific read! Layne is an Omega on the run from her past, a past which was highly emotional and heartbreaking to hear about. I absolutely adore Layne. She is a strong FMC with a personality and attitude that I love.
Mateo, as well as twins, Dante, and Valentine are all mafia and have big plans for the future. After a chance run in between Mateo and Layne, and maybe some slight kidnapping, and a little deal making, Layne agrees to stay with the guys, at least for a while. I really enjoyed how their relationships develop. The guys are very protective of Layne, which makes me love them even more. They are perfect for Layne, and her for them. The chemistry between them is amazing.
The writing, flow, and pace of this story are marvelous, as are the plot, storyline, storytelling, characters, character development, relationship development, and world building. I loved this book and would definitely recommend it.
This Thing of Ours is a standalone, contemporary, mafia, why choose Omegaverse romance.
Layne is on the run and trying to hide from a powerful family and ex. She stumbles upon a scene of violence and feels compelled to help. A good deed never goes unpunished and she is drawn into a mafia turf war. The men have a great solution to keep her safe. All she has to do is agree to fake date/pack them. What could possibly go wrong?
Val, Mateo, and Dante are instantly smitten with their new ‘girlfriend’ and plot a way to keep her..whether she agrees or knows about it, or not.
The guys in this romance will absolutely make you swoon. They are the epitome of burn the world for our girl. The characters are richly drawn out, the spice is extremely steamy, and the mafia plot has twists and turns to keep you reading. There is no third act breakup.
Loved this from the start. Mafia omegaverse easy to read story and characters kept me hooked. I rarely rate an omegaverse more than three ⭐️ but this was better than most. 🐕🐕🦺 named Edward & Bella 😆🥰💯🔥🌶
What in tarnation is going on. FMC acts like she’s tough and then folds. MMCs act like their tough and then folds. Like how are these people all part of the mafia
It’s been a while since I read a dark romance. I’d forgotten how satisfyingly dirty and twisted they can be!
I love Layne’s background and the way she meets all the key players in the book. The guys are, as always, drool-worthy. I seem to be developing a preference for packs with a beta who is actually the closest with the omega, sharing a special bond. I felt that in this one, with Matteo, and it was so heartwarming and sweet. The twins are more intense. I love Dante’s strength and how Layne becomes his one soft spot, for whom he is practically molten. Valentine is the most dominant, so I love that his character was the caregiver, always wanting to feed and clothe her.
The pack had great dynamics. The story was certainly heavy on the triggers, as it was pretty violent and sadistic at times. But to be fair, those people deserved it. 😄 I mean, it’s a mafia omegaverse dark romance, I think a bloody alpha rage was a given. It was also quite spicy! 🥵 Loved it!
Overall, it was really good. I didn’t rate it a five, as there were some parts that felt they happened too quickly or were glossed over, where other parts went a bit slowly. But it was still really good and I highly recommend it!
Be sure to check the trigger warnings before you read. I loved it, but I have very few triggers. Take care of yourself! 🥰

This book takes a unique approach by blending Mafia Romance with Omegaverse elements. While the result isn’t groundbreaking, it’s definitely a decent read that keeps you intrigued. Layne, the FMC, was a big improvement over other Mafia heroines I’ve come across—she’s strong, independent, and has a touch of naivety that adds to her charm. I found myself rooting for her much more than I expected.
Valentine, Matteo, and Dante, the male leads, were compelling characters who each brought something different to the story. They were respectful of Layne’s strength and resilience, and it was refreshing to see them fall for her so quickly and intensely. Their devotion and protectiveness added a lot to the romance, making it feel genuine and passionate.
Overall, while the book may not fully hit the mark for fans looking for a flawless Mafia-Omegaverse fusion, it’s enjoyable and has plenty of appeal for fans of both genres. Layne and her three love interests add enough depth to make it a worthwhile read, even if the series itself might not be for everyone.

”You want to start building a fortress around her before you fill the moat with the blood of her enemies.”
i really need more mafia omegaverse. i loved this book and am excited to see where the author goes with this universe.
the book starts off pretty heavy with Layne recounting her assault to the police and you learn that this isn’t the first time she’s been on the run. Layne has been through so much by the time she meets Valentine, Dante, and Matteo, but they’re there to help battle her monsters. physically and mentally.
this book ended up being a lot longer than i realized, but it was hot 🥵 while still developing Layne’s relationships with her men. they each have their own relationship/dynamic with her. you also get a lot of development of Layne working through her own mental hurdles about her past before she met the guys.
i also loved that even though Matteo was a beta, he wasn’t see as lesser or less “alpha”. he gives the same energy as Valentine and Dante. and his dirty talk 😏
there were a few spots that were confusing in the transition and descriptions, which is why i couldn’t rate a full 5 stars.
”Every king needs a lethal queen.”
”Best thing Matty ever did was get shot and bring you home. The best thing I did was forge your signature on our marriage certificate.”
”Not just any woman. My woman. I’ll start a war for her.”
multi POV MFMM 24 fmc / ??? mmcs 1 omega, 2 alphas, 1 beta twins in pack scent matches fake fiancé bonding/bite marks heat scenes group scenes DP DVP pierced 🐓 dirty talking beta 😏 exhibitionism public sex “my wife” touch her and die
CW: attempted sexual assault (not by mmc), recollection of past r*pe (by sibling, not mmc), death of a parent (past), kidnapping (not by mmc), violence
This Thing of Ours is a dark standalone RH Omegaverse romance. So some of the content might upset some folks so please read the trigger warnings.
Layne (FMC) has had to rely on herself after going on the run. One violent event leads her to a new place and right into the hands of Valentine, Dante and Matteo. All of which are dangerous within themselves but not in regards to Layne. It's the relationship that she has with them that opened her up more in this book and made her start to trust/rely on someone else. Its her backstory that truly a sad one to read though. A brilliant read filled with lots of great plot twists and turns as well as plenty of steamy scenarios.
This isn't a sweet fluffy Omegaverse. I'm not a huge fan of dark omegaverse's where omegas literally have no power and every Alpha abuses them but this was darker in the sense that she's physically and sexually abused (it's recounted but mostly off page and happens mostly in the past until the end where she's kidnapped) and Alpha's use their vibes to suppress her (not her Alphas). It's a mafia book so it's not all sunshine for sure. There's also scenes of torture later but really on page just stated. I personally would call it a grey book but everyone thinks and processes differently.
I almost gave it a 3.5 instead of 4 stars because the beginning is good, the middle drags a bit and gets a bit boring if I'm to be honest and the ending is great. Some paragraphs and descriptions get lost and I had to go back and re-read them. Almost felt like a first draft.
We have Layne (not her real name) on the run. Her last Alpha hookup got very violent when she wanted to end things so a cop and a omega protector help her run. We also learn over time she's actually from a very powerful family- her mother is dead murdered by her father and her father and brother were going to sell her so she started running and never looked back. She's been on the run for years at this point.
When Layne lands in this town after running from this last violent Alpha, she's helped by another pack (there's lots of good characters sprinkled into the bad) who senses she's running and is helping her get on her feet. She's warned about the Mafia controlling different parts of the city and avoids them until one day when she's out running she hears gunshots and instead of running away, she runs towards them. She sees two guys down and is immediately drawn to Matteo, a uber hot Beta, who might be my favorite character. She helps him back to his high rise apartment building and runs into his pack, two Alpha twins named Valentine and Dante. She realizes real quick, they're Mafia. They make a deal with Layne, in exchange for saving Matteo's life, she'll pretend to be their Omega for a few months to help them rise to the top of the Costa Nosta when their grandfather retires. She'll get spoiled and cash for her troubles.
Essentially, Layne ends up in the middle of a mafia turf war and falls in love more and more with her three guys. They realize pretty quickly they're a scent match and don't want to give her up. Layne wants to keep running but is compelled to stay.
The characters of this book are well fleshed out. Despite being violent unhinged Alphas in the Mafia, with Layne all her guys are sweet and keep spoiling her rotten. The plot was fun if a bit slow. There's betrayal and lots of moving parts. Some parts are over explained where some are glossed over while others seemed glacially slow. I wish an editor would have helped clean the book up a bit or I can see some just not being able to get into it.
Another complaint is Layne's personality. I really liked her but she's a bit all over the place. She's strong, she's tough, she's endured a LOT but at other times she's scared and stiff and frozen and it doesn't play out with her personality at other times. She's so cold she can watch or look at gruesome murder scenes and at other times hearing a noise outside makes her shake and shiver. She's trained to fight, knife and shoot but at other times she can barely function. It's a bit of a whiplash.
I'm really glad I pushed through and finished it.

This story started off pretty great, but I found myself struggling to get through it about halfway through. Maybe it's because it was very insta-lusty at first and very fast paced, but then as it slowed down in the middle, it gave you time to think and it just got confusing. Some of the things that confused me:
Anyway I pushed through and I didn't completely hate it, but I didn't really like it either.
While hot, it felt like a first draft. Many sentences didn’t make sense such as:
“It’s lucky you can’t remember the stranger's name, Layne, or I would track him down and peel the skin from his body for taking your virginity like that.” But then Layne said a few paragraphs before, “My brother was freaking out afterward, acting like he couldn’t believe he had done it.” So the guys were just told who it was.
Then it happened again. “She crawls over the space, climbing up to rest against my chest, drawing her feet up to sit on the tops of my thighs, using me like a recliner.” How the heck is she sitting? Again a few paragraphs before, Dante says, “Come here,” I say after dropping to my knees in the middle of the mat.” When you recline, you lay back, but it sounds like he is sitting on his calves-and yet somehow she is facing him? Is her back to his chest?
And again. “I go from sitting on the bed with a heat spike threatening, to up in his arms as Valentine walks quickly through the apartment. The lights are off, and morning is still a while off, but we’re closer to a new day, compared to a late night, judging by the purple hue to the sky. A small purr tumbles from his chest, and it holds back my temperature from soaring higher. From behind us, I feel Matteo. His presence is like a focus, something for me to grab hold of as I keep my eyes shut and my ear glued to Valentine’s chest, hoping not to pass out……A door opens and Valentine purrs louder. A breeze flutters over my blazing skin, making me feel slightly better but nowhere near right. “We’re outside,” Matteo adds. He’s close by, but he doesn’t touch me and, worried about completely losing the battle I’m already fighting to stave off my heat, I’m grateful. But I’m also sad because of the comfort I know his touch would bring. A moment later, it’s not me whining about wanting touches, it's the sound of splashing water that consumes me. Valentine takes a step down and then another before he lowers us both into tepid, heavenly water.” -so did Valentine get up or is Valentine in bed? Is Matteo behind her or now suddenly outside? why did it go through a quick walk-through apartment, was he turning the bathwater on? I’m surmising at some point she got picked up to take to the bathtub but that was completely left out… scratch that a few sentences later you find out she was taken to a pool. What? Did she wake up there? I thought she woke up in bed😵💫
Many confusing examples like this happened through out the book, that it just felt like another sweep was needed w an editor

Her Gut Instinct & One Snap Decision Lead To An Unexpected HEA
This new OV from LSB was absolutely incredible 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Inside this story you’ll find an omega on the run who wants to be able to stop running, as well as a pack (with alpha twins & a beta with alpha energy) who have a plot to take back their mafia throne. Once they meet Layne, their scent matches, they decide to slowly work their way under her defenses with a fake fiance arrangement. Their world is full of danger & betrayal though, and Layne’s past is also ready to catch up to her to add to the problems they’re facing. With so much against them, can they get close enough to grab their HEA?
Layne was brilliant, sassy & sarcastic, strong yet vulnerable, and just simply everything Matteo, Valentine, & Dante could possibly want, or need, from a life partner. She also went through so much, especially at the hands of people who should of cared for her, before she met the guys, and hearing it all broke my heart. It also showed just how strong she was though, and made me want to see her HEA that much more ❤️
Ok, so the guys definitely screwed up a bit at the beginning, but even that was done for good reasons & for Layne’s safety. Even with that though, the connection Layne had with these 3, especially Matteo, from the very beginning was so absolute & non-negotiable. You could tell that it went beyond scent matches & designations, straight to their soul, and it was just pure magic to watch it continue to deepen & strengthen.
Not only did Lucy give us alpha twins who just radiated intense effortless dominance, but she also gave us a beta who naturally exuded alpha power & control, yet with the subtle undertone of ease & comfort that betas are known for. Absolute perfection wrapped in sexiness, comfort, control without being controlling, and romance only for the woman they worship. I would love to say that I had a favorite, but that position would change from chapter to chapter lol. That just goes to show how equally amazing they all were though 😍🔥
If you want an OV story with men devoted & focused on their woman, with an added touch of danger & action that provides a darker edge to balance all the warm & fuzzies, then you found your book right here. Besides, Lucy wrote it, so you already know it’s gonna be a good read 😉❤️
I have read many books by Lucy Scott Bryan. Omegaverse books are the top thing that I read. This Thing of Ours is so different than most of the Omegaverse works that I have read so far. Outside of Omegaverse, one of my favorite things to read is mafia stories. This book combined those two into this fantastic book. There were actually times I forgot I was reading an OV book because I was so engrossed in the mafia story. I was focused on Layne and her fight to survive. Throw in Alphas, Betas with Alpha energy, and scent matches and you have such a compelling story. It was on the longer side, but I found that I didn’t find that the story was dragging. I was so engrossed in what was happening that I was able to lose myself in the story.
Layne is my favorite type of Omega. I love a survivor. Omegas are often seen as the weaker designation. But Omegas like Layne show another side to it. She is strong. She has done what she has needed to do to survive while on the run. She is not the typical demure Omega. She’s independent and sassy because she has had to be. But Matteo, Valentine, and Dante show her that she can let some of those walls down and put her trust in them.
One of the things I love most about Omegaverse stories is the fact that each pack member is only one piece to the puzzle that makes up the pack. Each guy has something different that they bring to the pack and without each of them, and Layne, the pack is just incomplete. The three men relate to Layne in different ways and together they become the strong pack that they are.
This Thing of Ours was another excellent Omegaverse by Lucy Scott Bryan. I loved the fact that she merged a mafia story and an OV to build this story that pulled me in. It was not just spice, but there was a good amount of spice there. This story was well written, entertaining, and full of all the things I love about both OV stories and Mafia stories. It is definitely a must for anyone that enjoys OV’s with a story to them.
📚Book = Standalone, 💕Burn = Med, 🎭OW/OM Drama = No, 🐺 Alpha Men = Absolutely, 💯 🔥Heat/spice = 9/10, 😬Angst = Low, 🍆🌮 MM/FF = No, 🔸RH/ Poly = RH, 🔸POV = 1st Person, MPV, 🔸Genre = Human Omegaverse, 🔹Tropes = MFMM (AOAB); why choose; fake relationship; fated mates - scent match; mafia; morally grey men; touch her and you dïe; twin alphas, diřty talking beta; traumätised omega; bondäge; DP; DVP; anäl; knife play; ‼️Triggers = Gůns; viölenće; göre; off-page physical abuse Off-page in FMCs past = Parental exploitätion & meňtal traůma, sëxuäl abůse, anäl rape;
This was such a brilliant book, I love mafia and Omegaverse books so having them together was wonderful bonus.
Annie/Layne has had such a horrendous time in the past from her family and now she’s struggling after being brutally attacked by her casual hookup. So she’s on the run again, when she meet a wonderfully kind family who take her in. Whilst recovering she stumbles upon gun fire and goes to see if she can help. Who she saves will change her life forever.
Valentine, Dante & Mateo are mafia men working for a man who took their whole family from them years ago. But this man is dying and needs a successor and they need to be married or bonded. So when Mateo brings home a beautifully stunning but bruised omega a plan is hatched.
The connection they feel for each other jumps off the page at you, the men are just wonderfully gentle & loving. They can see she traumatise by her past and show her every day they are there for her, working at her own pace. These men are soft as teddies bears for her, but brůtal kilľing machines to others especially those who have wronged them or their omega.
The story was well paced with great action packed moments and yummy spicy scenes. My only very minor grumble, I felt some parts were over written but the main vengeance part for the men and for Layne I felt was under written! But hay that’s just me, It certainly didn’t take away from the brilliant book though.
this book really has the potential to be 5 stars but the ending really let me down. I feel like the author didn’t give these characters true justice nor did she tell their story to the fullest. This book was over 500 pages and yet we are still yearning for more and there’s still more story to be told.
One of the things that bothered me is that we never truly saw Layne at her lowest, it was constantly teased but never actually happened. I think if we had saw her completely break then it would’ve made more sense to see that strength she has that seemingly came out of no where.
There were parts of the story that were glossed over often and it really just threw off the pacing. Like the men meeting Jana. That’s something we should’ve seen, we should’ve seen what happened when they found out she was matched to a mafia crime boss.
I felt like there was more to the men than we were told. I would’ve liked more chapters and more depth from them and the syndicate.
I did really enjoy the violence and gore. I think it was done spectacular and that’s part of what kept me interested in the story. I loved the zero hesitation to pull the trigger.
I do feel the story ended rather abruptly. We’re in the middle of torturing someone, she gets sent home…and that’s it? How is that a conclusion? I thought the next book would give me more insight just to discover the next book is about a completely new fmc. We should’ve gotten an epilogue or something that really solidified the ending of this pack and that would’ve opened the door to this new fmc. Right now she’s just some completely random chick and it feels like it’s throwing off the flow.
I hope the author reads reviews so she can make some tweaks to the next book and make sure that book actually feels complete and leads into the next book properly.
EDIT: so apparently the “last chapter” was the epilogue and I just completely missed it because it didn’t read like one at all. Removing a star because this book just isn’t complete and there’s still too much to tell.

Who doesn’t love a good omegaverse and one written by Lucy Scott Bryan, is even better. This lady knows how to write a story that draws you in from the start with intrigue, allurement, but also with that added twist of story, that keeps you on your toes. What gives that story the added extra is the intertwined mafia background. Like any good mafia story there is always going to be suspense and intrigue with an undercurrent of violence. The mix of omegaverse and mafia together has brought a new level and dimension to what Lucy Scott Bryan can deliver. This book has a grittiness and rawness to it that makes you delve deeper into the pages wanted more.
Fantastic read.
Layne is an omega who has had her share of hurt and after the last time she has no choice but to up root her life and move somewhere new, needing to keep her self separate from those around her.
Keeping her head down, she runs head first into a scene that has her automatically helping without thinking. Her kind heart leads her into the unknown, being pulled into a life that she doesnt want and into the house of three men, two strong alphas and a beta that doesnt shy away from he wants and needs. These three men are her undoing, she becomes their everything overnight. These men will do whatever it takes to keep their woman safe and to get exactly what they want, control.
This story has the sweetness of an omegaverse and the darkness of mafia. This is fast burn story, that keeps you on your toes and is full of spice.
I'm a sucker for an mafia omegaverse but even I couldn't predict how much I loved This Thing of Ours. Lucy Scott Bryan blew it out of the park!
Layne was such a fierce character. She showed great vulnerability and as well as but also kept her feisty spirit. Layne is a survivor and was surprising in a lot of ways. She was lucky enough to stumble across pack De Luca, they are one of the most heart-fluttering packs I've read about. Sure they are part of a criminal empire (Italian Mafia) but they also have honor and are fiercely loyal to those who've earned it. Valentine was the most intense, while Matteo was the playful one but it was Dante who surprised me. The Enforcer is a big romantic and he has some great romantic speeches. I loved this pack.
The story was low on angst but high on the drama. There's a fake engagement troupe but the guys were all in with Layne from the first moment. I loved how protective they were of Layne and that their actions backed up their words. These guys were all about their feelings for her and I was eating it up. Now that being said the mafia drama was great. Lucy created this detailed world with a good backstory filled with connections, backstabbing, manipulations, violence, and more. However, it was Layne's past that really shocked me. So good.
This Thing of Ours blew past any expectations. I couldn't help but get drawn into the romance and danger. This is one I'll be suggesting for a while.
This Thing is Ours is the latest book by Lucy Scott Bryan. This is a mafia OV story with one female omega, two male alpha and one male beta; no sword crossing.
Layne is a female omega that has left her family and is trying to stay off their radar. She has changed her identity several times and always seems to end up with the wrong man. After her latest name change and relocation, she is settling in when she hears a gun shot and goes to help. This is where she meets Matteo.
Matteo is a male beta who is part of the Italian mob in town. This pack includes twin alpha brothers, Valentine and Dante De Luca. The head of the local mob family is dying and is going to name his successor soon. The De Luca pack plans to take over the local family from their grandfather. The latest requirement to be name the successor is to have an omega. Layne could help them meet that
requirement. They offer to be seen dating for a few months and then they will break up; she gets protection and they get a temporary omega.
What happens when the pack no longer wants this to be a temporary arrangement? Will Layne learn to trust the pack enough the share her past? What happens when her past returns?
This was a great story and surprisingly sweet. There is lots of heat to enjoy in this story. I hope we get to read about the other members of Trinity. Go out and get this book now!
