Anthony Bakke (BS, Communication Arts and Literature, St. Cloud State University; MS, Education and Professional Development, University of Wisconsin–River Falls) is an English teacher at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School in Plymouth, Minnesota. He has been teaching since 2004. During that time, he taught multiple works of William Shakespeare and wanted to find a new way to engage today's teenage audience. The result was the "Bakke's Shakespeare" series. It is now used in multiple high schools with great success and has won multiple book awards. His ultimate goal is to get these books onto the shelves of every high school so they can help breathe new life into those Shakespeare units and bring about a new appreciation for the Bard of Avon. When he is not teaching, he can be found coaching high school baseball, playing men's softball, golfing, drawing, or playing the guitar. He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with his wife, Kirsten, and daughter, MacKenna, along with their dog, Neesa.
