What if suddenly every hot guy wanted you? The curvy, eternally-awkward wallflower, Sakina Lightbourn, knows exactly what that’s like. Picked on, or even worse, flat-out ignored by every member of the opposite sex since puberty, she’s dragged across the globe to a new school in the hauntingly beautifully Bahamas.
Her first day was no paradise, though. Accused of stealing some sort of werewolf medallion, bullied, and then getting into a fight with her mom, things couldn’t have gone worse. But then she meets Dax, the super sexy boy from her class who has more than just animal magnetism. One mysterious night with him and everything changes. Now she’s strong, confident and every hot guy wants her.
But, was it a good idea to attract the attention of the dark, bruting Lane Lafleur? Sure, he’s gorgeous and built like a Greek god, but he’s as hot as he is dangerous. And when he pulls up to her house one full-moon demanding that she go with him, she isn’t prepared for where he would take her, or who she would become.

This could have been much more of a cringe fest than it was. Not the best paranormal romance but it was a decent read. I enjoyed the main character, Saki. Though didn't think it was much of a romance and the story didn't feel finished in anyway. I mean it didn't feel like a complete book on its own but would probebly do better in a box set, where you can jump to the next one right away. Will most likely give the next book a try if it's following Saki.
Cliff Hanger! To me this was not a book or a short story. It is the first few chapters of a book. After reading the book and getting to the cliff hanger, I looked to see if maybe it was mentioned in the synopsis that it was part one. It wasn't! But if I had been more diligent and read the reviews or looked at the other books by this author I would have noticed that there is also "Packed: Turned and Taken, Part I and II". So if you are like me and HATE cliff hangers be warned.
The book was free, which is as it should be, as it was more of a long sample than a short story. A short story comes to end, and if it is well written then I am pleased. This just ended like you would a very dramatic ending of a chapter or the section of a book. The the next section would be Saki's life after her change. What did she change into? I don't know. That is where the book ends. To say the least it pissed me off. Now I want to know. But if I buy the next book, you have to buy Packed Turned and Taken (Packed 1 & 2) which at the same price this book was original price for. My problem is what if I buy it and there is part three, maybe part four. Will my questions be answered? Since I now want those questions answered I most likely will go buy the set. If so I will amend to this review if it was worth it. My recommendation would be to buy the set to start with unless you just want to sample the authors writing. Which I have learned is a good practice before purchasing a new author to you.
From the beginning it caught my interest and kept me reading. I wanted to know what the secret was. There is something different about Dax and Lane, but what is it? Why do both of these hot guys who seem to be enemies take such an interest in Saki? The writing flowed well. There were a just few errors that an editor or beta reader should have caught. (IE: She wanted to be his boyfriend.) But these things happen, and actually just made me laugh. I still want know what the prologue had to do with the story, other than the werewolves mentioned that gives us a clue that Dax or Lane or both might be weres. But then the book was only about 59 pages. Over all I was happy with book until I got to the cliff. I have a hard time reviewing this because I don't normally stop in the middle of a book to do a review.
I liked it enough that I am going to go buy the rest of the set to find out what happens because I cannot be left with this...
Okay the blurb made this sound intresting. To say I was dissapointed is putting it mildly. This was a freebie from Amazon so I can't complain about the price just about the waste of time.
The plot is basically this highschool senior Saki has to move with her mother and twin sisters from North Carolina back to the Bahamas. Most people would be like awesome..but for Saki it starts out bad. Almost called out as a thief, beat up in the locker room, fight with her mother and sisters all on the first day. Enter hot 'good' boy Dax. Then after only two count them TWO days and two mini so called conversations she apperantly 'loves' him and gives up her virginity in the front seat of his doorless jeep. After an unually painful first time she becomes ill and guess what? The next day she feeling better all the guys want her.
Then you enter Lane the hot 'bad' boy who shows up and takes her away you end up at a cliffhanger where she is apperanlty starting to change.
Beware cliffhanger ahead, but that's not the worst part this 'story' is in despeate need of an editor.
Packed: Turned is a short story that leaves you with a cliff hanger ending. You have to buy the next book to learn what happens. It's high school drama and teen wolf hormones. Immature girl suddenly becomes wanted by good looking guy at school. Didn't flow well. It's a whole lot of nothing. Needs good editing. Jumped around too much from thought to thought.
I was not impressed and will not be reading anymore. I received this free from amazon.
Unfortunately, so much of this very short story just didn't make sense. It needs proofreading badly. The worst part is that this is just a teaser and leaves you with a cliffhanger "ending".
I was reading this story and was so into it when suddenly I was at the end of the story. I wondered what had happened to the rest of it. This would have been better off written into a longer novel instead of 59 pages! I was so angry when I couldn't find out why they took her like they did.
I liked the book because like shifters romance and I can read any book on the subject before you can get into the story part one was over . The story was slow starting with a little excitement but then you were at the end
Missed something if this is the second book in this series. I'm still confused about the plot. It's weird and confusing since it lacks details where more are need. I also noticed some formatting errors. At one point in the story it says boyfriend instead of girlfriend.
Very short. Needs good editing. Jumped around too much from thought to thought. Immature girl suddenly becomes wanted by good looking guy at school.. Didn't flow well.
Didn't care of this one at all. Poor plotting, terrible character development and jerky flow. It leaves you with a cliffhanger at the end but I won't be finding out what happens next.
Beyond bored with this pitiful excuse of a book. This is more like two chapters of a rough draft that was never edited. I'm glad it was free because it was a waste of time.
