"Fue sólo una noche, sólo fui un poco de diversión para el rico CEO justo antes de su boda".
Aunque no del todo, porque él tambié
- Me rompió el corazón
- Me dejó embarazada

Ffs did AI write this book. For instance in one part the H stays over borrows her clothes (joggers) the next morning whilst they walking to breakfast and shopping - he only had his suit. So WTF was he wearing on his feet!!! His suit shoes 😂😂😂😂
Anyway DNF
And and these five stars! WTAF 😱

First the blurb isn’t correct- she tells him about the baby right away and he never makes her move in. It’s a bunch of back and forth for the entire story.

This story is pretty awful I’m not sure how I finished. Neither character is likeable, they both suck. The hero is a womanizer who can’t take his eyes off woman’s breasts even after he’s supposedly in love with the h, and the h tells him she lost the baby because she was being dumb.

Safety: Technically there’s no cheating since they were split up but he almost sleeps with his ex (she’s naked, he’s got his hands on her boobs, kissing, dry fucking etc) until he stops last minute. But he spends the entire book even after separation from the h eye fucking OW and then is suddenly in love at the end.

Anyways it’s just not for me.

Addison and Daniel had wayyy too many miscommunications on their way to HEA but this billionaire baby daddy story was a sleeper hit. Characters are flawed, real, indecisive and annoying at times. She gets knocked up after a one night stand, he is a flake playboy CEO. The angst was tangible and added emotional suspense to the story. I wish a few of the side characters would have received more in- story karma like Heart’s D-bag boss Maybe in the next part of the series.

I will NOT be continuing with this series or this author. The storyline and characters could have been awesome, which makes me even more annoyed by the let down.

Addison and Daniel were unbelievably immature, no growth or substance - all I wanted to do was smother both of them.

No connection/ chemistry between them.

It went on and on and on. Describing and telling me SFA over and over again.

The writing style and dialogue was awful.

Countless editing issues.
Inconsistent character names:
Brody / Brock …
Edna / Elma …
Which is it?!?

I completed the book, only because it was a train wreck I had to continue watching. For that reason - it gets the one star instead of none.

Ps - who the heck could five star this?

DNF - at page 33, 9% I to the book for two reasons
1) Daniel is in all sense of the world a womanizer and proud of it which turned me off from him. Some examples of this: He’s not paying attention to FMCs pitch because she’s so different from his typical women (she actually has curves and is not stick thin) and he’s going to give her whatever she wants anyway because he wants her. The paparazzi getting a picture of him with three women causes him to have to do some damage control but he couldn’t help remember that night - it was his first time with three women and he couldn’t remember any of their names but it was a good night and totally worth getting caught by paparazzi. He liked surrounding himself with pretty women at his workplace. His assistant was pretty but he doubted she knew how to do anything, he’s surprised she knew how to forward him a meeting invite. For a billionaire wouldn’t you want to be surrounded by competent people?

2) Addison is pretty obsessed with comparing herself to super models and saying she’s just not like them and how she and she’s different so there’s no way he can like or be interested in her.

This was not my cup of tea, I think the characters went out of their way to be a toxic male and a low self esteem woman.

I really wanted to punch the MFC. She literally repeated over and over the sentences "I am not that kind of girl" or "I am not like other girls". It drove me crazy, because I was tired of reading the same words again and again. It was okay to be mentioned a couple of times at the beginning, but it got repetitive at one point, and I was tired of hearing it.

When I read more of the book, it became clear enough that this love story is quite ridiculous. I was wondering if I should keep reading, but in the end I decided to finish it. Sadly, it didn't get any better. I am quite disappointed by the story and its characters.

The birth scene ruined it for me

Spoilers on the birth scene after the next paragraph or so. Mind you, this scene was literally like one chapter at the very end. And we all know she's having a baby, so it shouldn't be a surprise or a spoiler. But, some of the details will be part of the spoiler along with other spoilers but I won't mention them now. Read at your own risk. But they ruined it for me, so at least you'll go in knowing what's going to happen if you do wanna know in advance. Haha.

So I was absolutely enjoying the book, right? The characters were fun. The drama wasn't too over the top. I found them relatable and the writing good overall. Until we get to the end. So I would have been leaning towards a five-star review just because I enjoyed the book. I enjoyed the story and it made sense. You know, things like that. But then the birth scene came along. And didn't make sense based on the characters and had extra, non-existent, characters.

So here goes... The chapter or so of the book that ruined it and took it to 4 stars for me. Really it was probably like the last 7% maybe of the book where it just went downhill.

- Throughout the entire book, Monica has been by her side helping her through everything going to the hospital twice when she was having issues. Between the Braxton Hicks contractions and then panic attack basically the second time - Monica was there for her as a best friend should be. Brilliant. Awesome. Love that!
- Monica had even insisted on moving in to be there for her in case anything else happened. Again, awesome. I'm on board.
- So Monica left to talk to her publisher about her book and was supposed to be back soon. And here he comes that same day to win her back and be there for her when she is like 8 months pregnant after realizing she was actually still pregnant. So they make up and life is grand again only for her water to break. Thankfully he's there to take her to the hospital and be there for the birth of his child as well. Cool.
- They have the baby that day. And later that night he calls her parents to let them know the baby was born. (Mind you he's never met them but he got their number out of her phone at some point). They showed up in the morning to meet their grandbaby and make amends.
- problem number one: when new mommy returns to the room, she hears a bunch of voices talking... Described as Daniel's father, her father, and her mother. But Daniel's father was never there. That wasn't a thing. He's out of the country. He's not at the hospital for the birth. A mistake that should have been caught.
- problem number two: where the heck is Monica?! Her very pregnant best friend disappears from the apartment and she's not frantically trying to figure out what happened to her?! New Daddio calls Monica in the morning the following day to let Monica know the baby was born - after her parents were already there! What kind of friend loses her very pregnant best friend and isn't even worried about her and has no concept of where she is or trying to call her? Are you kidding me right now? No, no, no and more no. Unacceptable.
- problem number three: Monica and Dad want to throw a welcome home party for Mom and baby. Cool. Except mom lives in a shoe box sized apartment that is overflowing with her stuff, the baby's stuff, and also Monica's stuff... Yet they had a party there? With a bunch of balloon arches everywhere and at least 10 people? No. That's not going to work in that tiny little apartment. That is not an image that makes sense based on the image that was already painted by the author. And Virginia is even there with Freddy. After Freddy already said that didn't work out? Why would she be there? Sure, they talked about baby stuff when they were at dinner, but that doesn't make them BFFs.

So yeah, with all that at the very end that just was not aligning and jiving properly, I knocked off a star. I couldn't give it five stars. It really did ruin the book for me. Sigh.

love the story

I love the story! Even though I felt like Addison was sometimes unfair, I’ll blame it on her pregnancy hormones. The only thing that really irritated me was how the names weren’t always consistent. How the Brock guy was suddenly Brody, Elma was then Edna half way through and Jacob Daniels was Mr Daniel’s and then a couple times he was Mr Jacobs

Whispered Sins

This book was annoying. Daniel was a jerk most of the time. He was nice in the end. She was weepy but her hormones were all over the place. She was wrong to tell him the baby was dead.

I am still not entirely sure why I read this book. Kindle told me it was my next read, and apparently I was feeling obedient.

First, this story is not “safe.” No, there is not technically cheating, but the technicality is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Up until the last few chapters, Daniel spends most of the book noticing other women’s hips, breasts, bodies, and getting aroused and/or hard by women who are very much not the FMC.
At one point he goes to Bora Bora to nurse his broken heart while the FMC is emotionally and financially spiraling further. He gets cornered by his ex, lets her get naked in front of him, openly admires her body, kisses her, and lets her stroke him.
I do not care how the book wants to frame it, none of that is “harmless angst.” That is a walking red flag with luggage. Not book-boyfriend red flags. Real-life “absolutely not” red flags. Reading his POV was less swoony and more cringe in hardcover form.

The FMC is not much better. She does not communicate, does not set boundaries, and spends a lot of time insisting she is “not that type of woman” while very much being exactly that type of woman. She admits this, which made the whole thing even more annoying.

And then there is the pacing. This book wastes so many words on things that do not matter. I do not need a page-long description of how someone got dressed, what they ate, or the subway. None of that added depth; it just made the book feel bloated. There is only so much patience I can give to painfully specific descriptions of mundane tasks before I start wondering whether anything of consequence is ever going to happen.

Overall, this was an exhausting read for all the wrong reasons. Not romantic or spicy, not especially compelling, and definitely not worth all the words it spent going nowhere.

Not a bad book, not a great book. I took issue with a few things that made me annoyed, and pulled me out of the story.

I hated the whole "Heart". FMC's name is Addison Heartley. We're calling her Addison and all of a sudden it's mentioned that her family and close friends call her Heart. While I get it, typically sporty people are called by their last name, I retired from the Air Force and was called by my last name for all of my adult life. BUT family typically share your last name would not normally call you by a name you share with them. So personally I hated it. Every time it was said I got angry and pulled out of the story. Maybe that's just a me problem.

Next issue was, I get irritated when either of the MCs has any sexual with OW/OM (regardless of actual cheating). So the whole interactions with Kiera and Daniel's internal dialogue about her attractiveness and him getting excited and even the kisses. it bothered me and pulled me from the book. Now I do understand that Daniel was labeled as a "whore" and the MCs were not together due to Addison's own fault. So while technically Daniel did nothing wrong. I didn't like it and it made me not really like him. Let's be honest Addison had plenty of faults so not my favorite FMC.

Additionally, the ads and the book were not the same, not at all. In fact they are very very misleading. Which is super annoying because I picked this up because the ads caught my attention.

But there were good parts of the story and they did get their HEA. So at least there's that.

This book had me so mad.
Addison and Daniel had all the potential in the world, but the way their relationship played out? Exhausting. Addison meets Daniel, talks trash about him without knowing who he is, and he STILL gives her a chance to plead her case for her charity.

He wasn’t pretending to be some perfect “one‑woman man,” but for her, he was willing to try. He was willing to change.

And she still treated him like he was lying every time he breathed.
Then she hits him with the most heartbreaking, unnecessary blow:
“There is no more baby.”
She lets him believe he caused it. She lets him sit in that pain. I had to stop reading for a second because that was just cruel.

Daniel carried this entire relationship while Addison acted like trusting him was optional. Yes, they get their HEA, but honestly? It felt like Daniel earned it and Addison just… eventually decided to participate.

If you like messy drama and yelling at fictional people, this book will give you plenty to yell about.

3.5 star Addison and Daniel's story was a good read even if it doesn't follow the description Amazon gives. He does NOT force her to live with him at 8 months pregnant. Just a peeve of mine. Some inconsistencies for me were the importance of the paparazzi all through the book to nothing by the end. This was such an angsty story but as soon as he shows up, he's forgiven and all is well--not likely in my head, this should have happened sooner. And how Monica was so important to Addison but then by the end she wasn't even called until the next day. Daniel was sweet then not then really sweet, Addison was consistent as a character until the "grand gesture", then back to being what she was throughout the story (he should have had to work harder from the information given). I did like the concept of this book and enjoyed the characters I just wish it was more complete and consistent with what was given to start with.

This book felt so rush at the beginning, everything seemed to just happen so fast and then slowed down to a snail pace and the rest of the book just dragged on and on. It was such a frustrating read and I can’t decide if I liked it off hate it.

The FMC was so frustrating constantly just assuming rather than asking, it was so draining, I get she was pregnant and pregnancy hormones can make you a little irrational but this was just so extreme.

I pretty much pushed myself to finish reading because I wanted to see them finally get together but now I have finished I’m not sure how I feel about it, now ive slept on it I’m thinking it was all rather toxic and both behaved like high schoolers rather than grown adults. Would loved to have seen growth in their communication rather then the same scenario happen in 20 different ways, was like a version of ground hog day. Every mistake just kept repeating there was no learning or even trying to improve themselves.

I don’t know why I’ve been reading so many duds recently.
I was excited for this one but it was just so dragged out and immature. Their problems would’ve been fixed so fast if they had just talked to each other. Instead they went around and around in the same loop repeatedly and being miserable. It was just too much of the same thing where they just wouldn’t be honest with each other.

And can I just say, a billionaire not using protection for a one night stand. Yeah right…I mean it’s a one night stand so uh STDs, and pregnancy traps. What billionaire assumes his one night stand won’t try to trap him in that case so he doesn’t bother with a condom. Completely gross and ridiculous. And then he doesn’t ask for a paternity test, I mean…it just doesn’t make sense in the world of a billionaire. But yah ok, like I said this book was just not good.

Gah! The amount of miscommunication in this one is anger simmering because as everyone points out to Daniel… “have you talked to her?”?!? Common!!! Seriously! 😒 LOL. Ok but other than that irksome troupe that gets a lot of us riled up…. It was still a fun story about Addison & Daniel and their journey to parenthood. I am so very annoyed with Addison’s boss Brian.. I get the why, but the execution… 😡But there are real axxholes out there..

Ok the good stuff… how Daniel tries… tries… and tries again to win Addison love it! The back and forth angst and their fears are al soooo real and thats what made this one so good!

Disappointed!!

I was really disappointed with the FMC. I found her character to be annoying and tedious, I really wanted a nice easy book to read but for me it was just meh!

The MMC wasn’t much better he was written as a pushover. She lied to him, made him believe his baby was gone and then literally ran away when she was discovered all because of a conversation she had over heard, and he was the one that had to be sorry because it was all his fault.

I wasn’t a fan of the supporting characters either. so I won’t be picking any subsequent books.

It may be just me but the way the character were written and the growth throughout the books was what was most disappointing about this.

Addison works for a nonprofit that provides learning materials and learning toys to children in other countries. She meets Daniel the billionaire CEO when she has a scheduled meeting with him hoping to obtain a donation. Sparks fly from the very beginning.

There are some inconsistencies throughout the book that bother me, along with Daniel's attitude. Does he eventually prove that he's ready to be a father, a good father? I'll let you be the judge of that.

I like billionaire romances, especially when they involve unplanned pregnancies. I always have. Between the strange Kindle formatting and the back and forth of the will they or won't they, this one just fell a little short. 3.5 stars.

"You don’t see it. But even if you didn’t have that red dress on that’s made every man in Manhattan get whiplash tonight, you’d still have everyone’s attention.”

The entire book/story/conflict could've been avoided if she had Googled the man's face. She knew he brought home three women because it had been all over the tabloids but she didn't know what he looked like enough to stop talking trash to his face??? There are some confusing errors throughout the read if you really pay attention to details but ultimately, it's worth a read. The description of the story on the Amazon page isn't even how the story fully unfolds. He doesn't show up on her door step at 8 months pregnant baffled that she is pregnant the exact amount since the night they hooked up. It's so much more than that. Both Addison "Heart" Heartly and Daniel Jacobs are idiots in their own ways which makes it annoying and weirdly endearing.

The “About This Book” description on Kindle is completely wrong—it reads like it was written for an entirely different book. It implies the FMC gets pregnant by her boss, hides it for eight months, and then moves in with him, making it seem like the book begins late in a pregnancy.

That is not the plot at all. While the story itself isn’t bad, it wasn’t what I expected based on the description. The actual story follows the FMC and MMC after a one-time encounter results in a pregnancy, with both characters working through their insecurities leading up to the birth. There is no real development of a relationship between them and no moving in together until the epilogue.

If you’re picking this up expecting the story described in the blurb, you may be disappointed.

Why the 5 star reviews?

These characters are not likable. Lots of assumptions but no actual TALKING to each other. Many things did not make sense at all - for instance, she lives with her BFF. Said BFF leaves for a meeting, which she says will not take long. While she’s out, FMC goes into labor when her water breaks, several weeks early. The MMC does not call her UNTIL THE NEXT DAY and when she answers the phone, she’s all “oh, hey, what’s going on?” Wasn’t she frantic when she got home and FMC was not home? Didn’t she wonder where she was? Wasn’t she incredibly worried since she’d already had a couple of scares? There are several moments like this that just annoyed me. This series is a no for me.

fun reading

This story of Addison and Daniel was so much fun too read, thst read it in one day! Daniel is a rich player with women falling all over him and him taking advantage of that fact also he was handsome and knew how get into their panties. But he meets Addison when she has an appointment with him to try and get a donation as she works for a non profit that helps children. She doesn't know Daniel, so he plays along when she thinks that he's an associate of the boss, not knowing that he was! Daniel has an eye on her and wants too get her in the sack especially since she so hot with big breasts and an awesome ass! But little did they realize that their lives would intertwine from the first night that they fall into bed together! Good story very believable

Daniel and Addison. Works for a charity. Hes the CEO of a large company shes trying to get as a donor. She chats up a cute assistaint and finds out hes really the CEO. Open mouth insert foot. When she trys to slip out unnoticed Daniels not having it. Hes intrigued by the woman who doesnt know who he is. She opens her heart and finds out she shouldnt trust anyone. There are some secondary charecters that are simply bad human beings. Well written with some errors but very a good read very beleivable and heartfelt.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

So, the description on Amazon is TOTALLY different to this one.

Had I read this blurb, I wouldn’t have picked up the book.

I was promised a secret baby - one where the FMC doesn’t tell the MMC about the pregnancy until he finds out at the 8 month mark and forces her to move in with him.

None of that happened. She tells him 3 weeks later. What follows is some really lack lustre flirting and the MMC flashing his bank card as a means to impress.

The characters were boring but that might be because I was expecting something totally different. Either way, it’s in desperate need of a proper edit and the blurb needs to match the actual story 🙄

I wanted to like this book, but it's only getting two stars from me. Daniel is a douche who flirts with and stares at every woman who looks at him, but then acts superior because he won't bang them cuz he likes someone else.

Heart (dumb nickname btw) is dumb. Everyone keeps giving Daniel shit for not communicating with her, but every time he tries to explain anything she cuts him off and yells at him.

She flat out lied to him about losing their pregnancy, just because he annoyed her pretty much. (She lost her job, but that was definitely her fault, sh could have explained at any point to her boss that a relationship developed after he donated money)

I suppose this is a more real to life version of what happens when you get pregnant after a one night stand, but that didn't make it enjoyable. The writing wasn't the best and there were a lot of inaccurate details. Like there was a guy they called Beock and Brody within the same page and several conflicting details on the timeline. The MMC basically tried to throw money at everything and wasn't very present. Other than 2 actual dates and a week's worth of rides to work, there wasn't much interaction between the main characters. I guess the bottom line is there wasn't much in the way of warm fuzzies, which is the reason I read romance.

Cute

I gave it 3 stars for several reason. One the description of the book is way off. There is so way out times lines. First it’s 3 weeks then all of a sudden it’s a few days. Then the author already covered something and then a few chapters later it’s brought up again and he acts like she never told him about her parents. There is just so many things that made no sense. And I hate when authors add extra characters but leave you in the air with what happened to their stories she started in this book. Should have been a series on the all.
