I loved this story, it finished the story of Mae. She kept Nikolai as her choice of consort, but Vlad still helped her all the same and remained a close friend. I was rooting for her to take them both almost to the end all the same!
With hellreaver broken and increasing incursions by Nikolai's father threatening the lives of everyone, Mae has her work cut out to deal with him and bring an end to the threats. It's a wild journey that includes more time in hell and to save her past reincarnation mother, she needs to meet past reincarnation father as well. It's a very satisfying conclusion and one that meets expectation. Mae has by now grown in to the power given and Rose comes in to the story once more too. I got this an ARC reader, but I would have brought it anyway, it is just that good!

It is bittersweet to say goodbye to my beloved characters in this epic finale of A.D Starlings Witch Queen. In this journey from the start, I loved watching these characters grow starting as unsure of themselves in the powers they had to now being confident in themselves and taking charge of situations. I adore the way Starling writes these character relationships, specially I adore the familiars and their wittiness with others and the little come backs, definitely some laugh out loud moments. If you’re looking for an epic conclusion to a series this is it for you, I adore all of Starlings books and her writing but this one definitely nailed home. Till the end book!!

Oh, I'm so sad that this journey is over. Such a rollercoaster of emotions in this book, one moment l'd be giggling hysterically, then next I was sobbing my socks off. So many satisfying arcs for different characters and the epilogue was beautiful. Absolutely loved it. Highly recommended.

Oh my goodness! Words to describe this sheer epic genius of magic, battles, strength, determination, loss, heartbreak, joy and discovery in a way that does it justice, are hard to find. The world building is so detailed and descriptive throughout, with well fleshed out characters, who are allowed their flaws and weaknesses, as well as their strengths.

I have loved the entirety of The Seventeen Universe, and Witch Queen brings an ending that is truly earth shattering. Mae Jin, Nikolai and their friends have battled over the course of this series against an all encompassing evil. They have suffered a great deal of loss and heartache along the way and they have more to overcome in this final book. As much as this is an epic battle, which bring emotions to the fore along the way, there are also lighthearted moments, humour and joyful reunions. Love, trust and belief in right, goodness and humanity, underpin everything.

The ending is not all tied up with neat bows and ribbons, (which can ruin an otherwise good book) but concludes on a note of positivity and looking forward to the future.

I’m sad that this is the end, but have enjoyed every page of this incredible series and look forward to what may come next from this author. I cannot recommend these books any more highly and would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I could not wait to read the final book in the Witch Queen series. I read the book in about two days and, of course, kind of regret not dragging it out but it was action-packed from start to finish and hard to put down.

I loved jumping back into this story and reconnecting with all of the characters and their familiars as well as one character I did not expect (but was so glad!) to see again. A.D Starrling does an extraordinary job of bringing the backstory into play without dragging the action down. There is A LOT of history to cover but I feel like anyone reading Witch Queen as a standalone would feel up-to-speed on the complete storyline. That said, I would definitely start at the beginning for the richest reading experience ... it's so worth it and you'll be glad you did. (While I'm on this train of thought, I recommend starting at the beginning of this universe by reading the Seventeen and Legion series. Both are filled with the author's incredibly descriptive writing style, witty banter, characters with depth, creative world-building, and lots and lots of magical action.)

I'm certainly sad to be at the end of the series but am grateful for everything it offers ... action (so much action), magic, love, friendship, humor, silliness, family, more magic, and just a fun, well-written read.

Witch Queen, saving the best for last.

First off, let me suggest that to fully enjoy the Witch Queen series by A.D. Starrling, you really should read the books in order. Book 6 of the series, Witch Queen, is another superb example of what makes A.D. Starrling a beloved and bestselling author. In Witch Queen, Starrling brings to resolution the many plot lines that make the series such an enjoyable read. I loved how the ending of this series connects all the dots. Moreover, I loved how the end of the series ties back to the very beginnings in Book 1.

A.D. Starrling is a great storyteller, and you can tell that she has done exhaustive research on the subject of the arcane arts, heaven, hell, angels, demons, and ley lines. She weaves a seductive tapestry of family, community, and personal relationships together with rich and descriptive environments to create a world that engulfs you... that you yearn to be real.

If you’ve already read the first 5 books of the Witch Queen series, you will want to get Book 6 ASAP. If you are new to the worlds of A.D. Starrling, don’t hesitate a moment longer. Invest in the entire series and fall into a world of magic, adventure, and wonder. You won't be sorry.

As I have found with other series by this author, The Witch Queen had me hooked from the start and the final book is simply epic and was definitely worth the wait!

Fast paced with loads of action it’s almost impossible to put down once you start reading!

Some of the descriptions will have you howling with laughter, one of my favourites was: “pearl-clutching expressions of disapproval”. The humour throughout is just brilliant!

The characters are so well rounded they feel like actual friends, like you’re in their team. The downside to this, is the sense of loss now the series is over.

You don’t need to read the other series (Seventeen and Legion) to enjoy Witch Queen, but you won’t regret it if you do and will have a better understanding of how the characters interact with each other and the history of their relationships.

A. D. Starling is an amazing author and the amount of research carried out for these books is breathtaking. Factually correct in many different workplace genres and literally the only books I’ve read that have no typos which is very refreshing!

If you haven’t read any of these series, I heartily recommend you do. I’m waiting with bated breath for the next series from this author!

Brim-ming with the fantastic!

I’m a sucker for romance and magic so the culmination of all that Mae has been fighting for was everything I wanted. She is a true force to be reckoned with and every book I’ve fallen deeper under her spell.

“You are mine.” She caressed his jawline boldly before dancing her fingers down the column of his throat and his chest, her eyes bright with resolve. “Your mind. Your heart. Your body. Your soul. I will claim your everything.”

She can claim all I am too but let’s not forget that it’s through the bonds she’s chosen and grown that have made Mae the Witch Queen we know and love. All the action, all the suspense, all the startling reveals, all the humor, all the magic, await in this epic conclusion to a riveting series that will draw you in from the beginning and never let go.

The final instalment in the Witch Queen series is a blast. It’s a rollercoaster of a ride from beginning to end. The battles are epic and sadness and heartbreak are, thankfully, eclipsed by comic relief - thank you PoPo. I vibrated between wanting to know how it ended and never wanting to finish. I’m now heading for the biggest book hangover of all time. The worlds AD has created in the Seventeen Universe are amazing in their breadth and the characters have so much depth, they feel like old friends at this point. I am sorry the series has ended, but am looking forward to whatever comes next

AD, you did it again! I have read the entire Seventeen series (Legion is my favorite). Witch Queen comes in as a close second. I absolutely loved the humor which provides a reprieve from the apocalyptic storyline. I fell in love with all of the characters, from the demons, witches, familiars, sentient weapons and helldragons, to the main and cameo characters. This book, very neatly, ties all of the story elements together as AD promised. However, I want more! That's how I know how much I enjoyed a story: when I'm sad it ended and I want to read more. And yes, AD, I did cry. Thank you for such an awesome story.

This is the final book in this series and quite a page-turner! The characters are awesome, the familiars are hilarious and world building settings of Hell and New York are amazing. The final showdown between the Witch Queen and her allies vs Vedran is inevitable. Will New York survive? New characters, a change of heart, a repair and parents make all the difference! This action-packed book packs quite a punch and is filled with danger, magic, dragons, demons, prophesy, spells, black magic, white magic, familiars, witches, sorcerers, hell beasts, Hell, Incubus, family, Hellreaver, Brimstone, friends, a shaman, humor, and battles!

This book is amazing, with twist and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat. The only bad thing about reading this book is when it came to an end, you can't help but love all the characters except of course Vedran & Barquiel who you will love to hate. I can't recommend this book enough. I loved it so much I am now going to restart all the books in the Seventeen universe.

AD Starrling please please don't wait too long before you write the next instalment in this universe, you are our Witch Queen of Authors. Xxx

If I could rate this book/series with 10 stars it would not be enough. The conclusion of the Witch Queen series was everything I'd hoped it would be. I loved Mae's journey from the start. The relationships she built with her family and magical family were full of love, laughter and truly moving moments. Nikolai's growth was especially intriguing to me and I loved how he came into his true power. I have read all of AD Starling's novels and I cannot wait to see what comes next from a favorite author!

I just finished this book last night. I had to put this book down last week because it was interfering with my work schedule. I kept laughing out loud. Each Chapter just flowed with the story line even though each Chapter had different main characters. You can just see the timetable happening at the same time for each chapter and the logical flow of the events, and how the events affect the characters which is why I did not want to put down this book, but I had to go to sleep and work. This Book was Good!!

With Vedran's thirst for more magical power growing even more dark and violent, Mae seems up against it, especially with Hellreaver destroyed. A trip to Hell is needed.

They say all good things comes to and end, unfortunately for this series it ends. It has been a thoroughly enjoyable series. The mixture of magic, demons, familiars and Anjanee's writing drew me in from the start. The plot flows quickly, the magical battles are relentless and the character interactions had me laughing out loud, even up to the conclusion of this last book. A fantastic series.

I don’t want to say goodbye to Mae and her weird and wonderful sidekicks but I must.
Brilliant ending.
Who does Mae choose as her consort?. Hope it’s the one you picked.
Mae ventures into the depths of hell in this final episode and I think think hell might be literally on the Earths doorstep.
Too much to say and too many spoilers.
So I’m not going to say much, only that you will truly enjoy this last instalment of the Witch Queen series.
Excellent AD as always.

Absolutely loved this book and didn’t want the story to end. This reminds me of the godfather at the end where everyone plays a part - and you don’t know where the story is gonna go! - there has been some great character development throughout the series and I have loved the ride the author has taken me on - will definitely be re-reading the full series again!!!

I really enjoyed this last book in the series of Witch Queen. Mae and Nicholas and the rest of the demons, angels and related undesirables continue their fight to stop Sorcerer King from destroying the world of humans. This story has a few surprises before it ends which tie up many strings. It was a satisfying end to a great series.

Whew what a ride!! Witches, sorcerers, angels, demons, familiars and more. A rollercoaster of emotions as Mae follows her destiny and steps into the roll she was born for.

Although I loved this series (as with all her series) I felt as though the ending was a little rushed and could have been wrapped up a little neater. I am looking forward to see what her brilliant mind comes up with next!

Nothing like a field trip to hell to start the final book of the witch queen series. It’s the perfect pre-finally (cause there is still the End of Days finally at some point) where good battles evil on various plains of existence. Descriptive and beautifully written, this wrap up does not disappoint.

Awesome!

This whole series was amazing! Absolutely loved Mae kicking butt and the fast paced storytelling. I thought Mae should have had two consorts though, poor Vlad. Great characters as well. Should have read the Seventeen series first though.
