The Love Losers

Finding a gold-digger is harder than it looks.

Anthony
After my fiancée left me for my college friend, the last thing I want is romance. But if I don’t get married by New Year's Eve, I'll lose my trust fund. That’s why I’ve hired the Love Fixers, a business that assists the romantically challenged, to help me find a woman who'll agree to a sham marriage.

Too bad their most promising candidate sucks on my finger within one minute of meeting me.

I’m happy when I run into Rosie, the wild friend-of-a-friend who has decided it’s her duty to help me. She introduces me to other possible wives, challenges everything I thought I knew about myself…

And then she asks me to marry her.

Rosie
Let the record show, it was an accidental proposal.

We ran into Anthony's ex-fiancée just before Christmas, and when she asked him to introduce his "little friend," I put my arms around him and told her I was his lover. It snowballed from there.

But Anthony is everything I never knew I wanted in a man, and it doesn't take long for me to want to marry him for real. Too bad I have a secret that might just ruin everything.

**An interconnected standalone in the Unlucky in Love series.

I can’t even tell you how much I love the author’s characters. Her stories are so fun to read, and her characters always steal a piece of my heart. Returning to Nicole, Damien, Claire, and Declan’s world was a delightful experience! The mix got even better with the addition of Lainey and Jake. Just soo good. And now - Declan’s sister Rosie finds her HEA, and I love that it’s Anthony. Are you curious yet? I was completely captivated and consumed by this book, eagerly seeking answers.

I believe it’s necessary to emphasize the importance of reading this series in order to maintain the integrity of the plotlines and avoid spoilers. While each story can be read as a stand-alone, it is much better consumed knowing all the connections, starting with Bringing Down the House. In the book before this one, we were introduced to Mrs. Rosings, Mrs. Rosings’ son Anthony, his money hungry fiancee Nina. (And we all know how that book turned out!!)
You don't know?! Well my friend, you have some great reading ahead of you. Rosie and Anthony make their first connection then, btw.

Rosie perfectly embodies the meaning of her name, spreading positivity wherever she goes. Anthony isn’t completely grumpy, but he’s dissatisfied with both his work and personal life. Before their happy ending, this couple’s journey was full of unexpected surprises and a thrilling mystery that captivated Nicole, known for her spirited nature. The resolution caught me off guard, but I was overjoyed to discover how many people were rooting for this HEA. Both characters have compelling emotional baggage and find themselves in crazy situations, which I loved. Their chemistry is amazing, and I appreciate how supportive their friends are of their relationship.

I really enjoyed my time with these characters, and cannot wait for another story! Once you’ve savored this series, I highly recommend delving back into the impressive catalog of this skilled author and immersing yourself in more of her works!
I was fortunate to receive a complimentary copy, (thank you!) and happily leave my review.

Getting carried away and finding joy

I loved, loved this friends to lovers, unlucky in love romance. The story had the perfect balance of humor, heartwarming love, real life issues, light danger, mystery, and spice. Reading Anthony and Rosie’s story made my heart so happy. Anthony is a wealthy businessman who feels stuck and stifled in his life. He needs to be married before his 34 birthday in order to inherit his trust fund. Unfortunately, the woman he was supposed to marry dumped him to marry one of his college friends. So now he has three weeks to find a replacement bride. Rosie jumps into things feet first, embraces life with her whole being, and moves on when she’s done. Since she’s a friend of a friend, she volunteers to help Anthony find his platonic wife but the more time they spend together the more the chemistry and feelings spark and grow between them. Both Anthony and Rosie are beautifully portrayed as real, relatable, bruised but not broken people who have flaws and messy pasts, but are really just trying to do their best as messy humans. I really had big feelings for Anthony in this book. He is such a wounded soul that needed healing and it made me happy that he found it with Rosie. What follows the agreement to help find a platonic wife, is a wonderful journey of bucket lists, baggage unpacking, inner voice finding, forgiveness, and life course correction with some light mystery and danger thrown in. This heartwarming and well written story included engaging dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and a captivating storyline. This whole series has made my romantic heart so happy.

This is the third book in the Unlucky in Love series, and while it can be read as a standalone, it does feature characters from the previous books. The story centers on Anthony, who needs to marry to secure his trust fund, and Rosie, the carefree friend of a friend. When Anthony crosses paths with Rosie, she offers to help him find a wife. However, when they bump into his ex-fiancé, Rosie impulsively introduces herself as his lover. What starts as a fake dating arrangement soon leads to real feelings, but both have secrets and challenges they need to overcome. The chemistry between Anthony and Rosie is undeniable—they’re a perfect match. This book delivers sweet, tender moments, sizzling romance, and a bit of suspense to keep you hooked. I couldn’t put it down, and it’s definitely a must-add for your TBR!

This was so funny, I really liked it.
Anthony didin't want to marry a stranger but there wasn't another way to get his money. And then Rosie showed up and everything changed. It took some time but finally Rosie decided to marry him. For Anthony, he would marry Rosie or he wouldn't marry anyone, no matter the money.
They both had hard pasts and tried to help the other overcame it.
I loved their circle of friends and all the scenarios

Anthony and Rosie

I really enjoyed this book. It was great seeing Anthony come into his own and the way he and Rosie complement each other perfectly. This book is part of a series of interconnected standalones, but for the best enjoyment I recommend reading them in order. I loved them all and can’t wait for Seamus and Emma’s story!

The Love Losers
By Angela Casella
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Anthony find himself faced with a dilemma and a deadline, if he’s not married by New Year’s Eve then he will lose the trust fund left for him by his father. He was on the right track but his fiancée left him recently with their wedding already planned. He tries to let someone else find his next girl but it’s not working.
In walks Rosie, who Anthony knows through a mutual friend, and turns his plans around. After running into his ex when Rosie and him are out, Rosie says they’re lovers. They roll with that at first but then it turns into more.
This was such a fun journey for these two. Thank you for this ARC!

4.0 stars. Book 3 and the adventure continues with an unexpected couple, Anthony (Mrs. Rosings son) and Rosie (Declan's sister). Fun and sweet, they each bring out the best in each other. This story is not without a mystery, thankfully Anthony/Rosie have kickass P.I.'s Nicole and Damien to help them figure out. Another great read. Will be adding book 4 to read next, gotta see how this series ends.

Rosie's supposed to be helping Anthony find a woman who will marry him so he can obtain his trust fund. But somewhere along the way, the two of them found they might want to marry each other instead. She's a sunshiney sweetheart who isn't looking for love. He's a grumpy businessman trying to get his trust fund, deal with his father's ridiculous will (and the effects of his father's treatment of him), so neither should be going into this marriage of convenience with something pesky like feelings...

I always have so much fun in this wacky, lovable world Angela has created. I knew Rosie and Anthony were going to tug at my heartstrings a little from their very first meeting. She's just such a joyful, happy go lucky person - the perfect match for Anthony who's uncomfortable in his own skin, thanks to a truly terrible father. There are the usual shenanigans that happen whenever Nicole and Damien are in the building, there's a mystery, and of course there's love, the kind of love that encompasses the whole heart and all the people who are lucky enough to witness them falling so hard.

The Love Losers by Angela R. Casella, is the third book in the Unlucky in Love Series, we begin with Anthony, who is a guy who comes from a family with money, some time ago he lost his girlfriend because she was cheating, this made him a little distrustful of women and he is not interested in love, for now he is only looking for a woman to marry but only for convenience, since he needs to comply with a clause to receive his trust fund, which is with many millions of dollars so his friend Jake and his girlfriend are helping him get the right woman for this, but time is running out, suddenly in the bar where he was with his friend, once he left, Anthony finds himself with a girl who witnessed what happened with his ex. Rosie is a ray of sunshine and always has a good attitude so when she meets Anthony and they start talking she doesn't hesitate to offer to also help him get the woman he needs, but when they bump with his ex-fiancée, she impulsively introduces herself as his couple. This will lead them to create the fake relationship that Anthony needs, but soon what begins as a lie start to feel very real, only there are things that both must overcome to give themselves a real chance.
I loved this book!!!!! I haven't read the previous books, but I was able to read this story without problems, but of course I will go read them as soon as I can because I love all the characters. If you have not yet read any book in this series, I recommend that you start at the beginning so that you can enjoy the couples' stories without spoiling them, but if you don't mind, like me, you can start here and then go to the previous. This story has humor, but also a bit of mystery and of course what we enjoy the most, love. These characters are truly wonderful and I will be very attentive to what the author brings us. Totally, and Completely Highly Recommended!
*Thanks to Angela R. Casella and The Author Agency for my ARC. I voluntarily leave my honest review*

¡Total, Y Completamente Altamente Recomendada!

Angela's gone ahead and written another hit! 🤗
I had no idea how she would redeem the seemingly spoiled, uptight Anthony we'd met in previous books but wow, did she ever make his redemption arc happen!

Anthony Rosings Smith and Rosie James (or is it O'Malley...) are two sides of the same coin. Both are convinced they don't deserve love and that any good that comes their way is bound to get spoiled. Because of this Anthony, has resigned himself to a life of misery living in his late father's shadow (and there is much more that is problematic about that than initially meets the eye), and forcing himself to enter into an arranged marriage that feels more like a business transaction than a relationship to claim his inheritance.
And our lovely, fun, hilarious Rosie has had too many people convince her that she's only as good as what she can be useful for, and has been tossed aside too many times to think she could possibly get the love story she so desperately wants when she starts to fall for Anthony.

"I’m not the woman who gets the guy. I’m the side thought, the unknowing temptation."

Never mind the technicality that she's not really who she says she is, and that there are some very not-so-legal things in her past that could come back and cause problems for Anthony if they did end up together...

The two of them couldn't help but be drawn to each other, though. And I loved watching Rosie pull Anthony out of the shell he'd curled into long ago and breathe life back into him. He really needed her to show him how to live and feel again, and did he ever!
"She watches me for a second, dozens of things dancing in her blue eyes, and for a moment I’m transfixed by them. By her. I’ve never met anyone this alive before. Maybe I’m drunk, but it seems to me that she could hardly help but animate everything she touches."

And when he realized his feelings and gave in to them, phew! That man turned it up from 0-100 and I was MELTING for him!
"I want her to become part of the fabric of who I am. I want her to be woven into me, and me into her."
"My wife. This gorgeous, wildfire of a woman is going to be my wife, and I want it to mean something. The force of that need is shocking to me—enough so that I’d fall to my knees if I weren’t there already."
"I want Rosie. I need her. It’s insane, absolutely divorced from any sense of reason or logic, but I don’t just need her to marry me. I want to call her my wife."

I mean, COME ON! 🥵🥵

And if someone were going to make me rethink my stance on Insta-love, I'm not surprised it was Angela. Rosie coming in with this line had me realizing that I need to ease up on my past criticism of the trope a little, just as long as it's written as deeply and meaningfully as it has been in this book.
"Maybe I sound naïve, saying a man I’ve only really known a month is the love of my life, but if you don’t pay attention to the good things in life when they appear, there’s a whole lot you may be missing." 😍

These two were funny, sweet, mischievous, deep, and endgame from the very beginning.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good rom-com with plenty of feels that doesn't sacrifice its laughs. The side characters are always so good in Angela's books, and this book is no different. While this can be read as a standalone, I still recommend reading the first two books in this series to get to know the immediate side characters better, and honestly, because those books are also fantastic. 😊
I received an advanced copy of this book and am leaving an honest review.

Anthony Rosings Smith has just had his fiancé Nina leave him before their wedding but if he wants to inherit his trust fund he needs to get married asap. So he has come to the Love Fixers to help him find a woman that he is compatible with and that wants to marry him in time.

Rosie James has taken it upon herself to help Anthony find the right woman to marry in time. But after a run in with Nina she might have said to Nina that she is in fact going to marry Anthony herself as he is everything she is looking for in a man.

But Rosie is hiding a secret and will it cause the wedding to be cancelled so her secret stays safe even if she realizes that she does in fact want to get married.

This was another good book in the series with lots of banter and great characters to keep you flipping the pages.

Anthony got shafted pretty bad in the previous book and this book shows him in so much better light and it makes him a very enjoyable character whereas in the previous book he was kind of bland. In this book you learn about what drives him and what his goals are which makes you begin to cheer for him and hope that everything turns out for him.

Rosie is a great character who has so much energy yet she is holding back some things that she doesn’t want her family to discover but she is counting on Nicole and Damian to help her out as they continue to make their presence in this series. She is a fun character and you know that she truly means well.

There is a great beginning with Rosie and Anthony and their banter is entertaining and you are really cheering for each of them. They have each gone through a lot and deserve some happiness in their lives. The twists are good and keep you flipping the pages so you know what happens in the end.

I like that there is still involvement from past characters as you are really getting to know this group well and the family dynamic is strong and very enjoyable!

Looking forward to more in the series!- Rebecca

This is book 3 in the series but the first one that I am reading. I was able to enjoy this as a standalone, however, I think I would have enjoyed it even more had I started from the beginning with book 1. The other characters from previous books play some important roles in this book and I would have had a better understanding of everyone's connection. This will give me a reason to go grab books 1 and 2 to see what I missed.

I really enjoyed this book and the storyline. The writing was fabulous and the drama and suspense added in kept me wondering what was going to happen next. Anthony needs to find a wife in order to get his trust fund and time is running out. He hires the Love Fixers to help him out but gets a surprise when he is once again connected with Rosie, a friend of a friend, and she also makes it her mission to help him find a wife.

I love the banter between Rosie and Anthony and how she makes him want to let loose a little and not be so strict in life. Rosie is not looking for love but starts to feel a connection to Anthony that she can't ignore. When the two run into Anthony's ex, Rosie reacts by staking her claim to him and says that she is with Anthony. The problem is that Rosie is running from her past and has secrets that she is desperate to protect. When Anthony's ex threatens to expose those secrets Rosie knows that she has to walk away even if her feelings are more than just pretend.

Can Anthony and Rosie get their happily ever after? Who is threatening Anthony's mom? What are Rosie's secrets? Get ready to be put on the edge of your seat while you are glued to the pages to find out all of these answers. A must read for sure!- By Alisa

The Love Losers delivers a fun and heartwarming take on the classic fake relationship trope, with plenty of humor, misunderstandings, and surprising emotional depth. The story follows Anthony, a man left heartbroken after his “fiancée” leaves him for a friend. Despite his disillusionment with romance, Anthony finds himself in a bind—he must marry by New Year's Eve to keep his trust fund, and hiring a service called the Love Fixers seems like his only option. Enter Rosie, a wild and free-spirited friend-of-a-friend, who quickly becomes much more involved in his life than either of them planned.

From the moment Anthony is introduced, his reluctance to fall in love again is relatable and sets the tone for a story that's as much about personal growth as it is about romance. His search for a woman willing to enter into a sham marriage is awkward and hilarious, epitomized by his disastrous meeting with one candidate who inexplicably sucks on his finger. The absurdity of the situation is balanced with genuine moments of self-reflection as Anthony begins to reassess what he truly wants from life.

Rosie is a whirlwind of charm and chaos, a character who enters Anthony’s life with full force. Her involvement, initially intended as friendly support, takes a turn as they conquer their bucket lists together and fight the sparks that are the beginning of a beautifully messy romance, filled with playful banter, sizzling chemistry, and undeniable connection.

While the premise may sound lighthearted, the novel does a great job of adding emotional layers to the story. Rosie's secret introduces tension just as her feelings for Anthony begin to deepen, and the question of whether her past will sabotage their growing bond adds an intriguing twist to the narrative. It’s not just about getting married for convenience anymore—both Anthony and Rosie must confront their own insecurities and past hurts if they are to have a shot at real love.

The novel shines in its character development. Anthony’s emotional journey from a man scorned by love to someone ready to embrace it again feels authentic. Rosie, with all her exuberance, is also hiding fears of vulnerability, making her more than just the fun, carefree woman she initially appears to be. Their gradual realization that what began as a convenient arrangement has become something genuine is both sweet and satisfying.

The book’s pacing is spot-on, with enough humor to keep things light without undermining the more serious emotional beats. The romantic tension between Anthony and Rosie keeps the reader hooked, while the secondary characters, Nicole, Damien, Declan, Jake, the ex-fiancée, Nina, and Wilson, provide plenty of laughs.

This book is a charming, funny, and heartfelt romance that explores love’s unpredictability and the value of second chances. The chemistry between Anthony and Rosie is electric, and their story will leave readers smiling long after the final page. If you’re a fan of romantic comedies with depth, quirky characters, and laugh-out-loud moments, this novel is definitely worth a read.

I'm not sure how Angela does it, but at this point I could literally dive into her books blind and still be guaranteed an incredible read. Let's just say this book was no exception! Packed with drama, suspense, humour, romance, found family and a looming threat that could derail everything, I was reeled in from the very first page!

In order to inherit his trust fund, Anthony must marry before his 34th birthday. So when he discovers his fiancée has been secretly having an affair with one of his college friends, he's left in the lurch with three weeks to find a suitable 'wife'.
Enter, Rosie - ardent but wild, but possesses the tenacity to find one's true calling. She ends ups befriending Anthony and discovers his predicament with the inheritance. Find a potential wife? Rosie's on the job. However, what they both didn't see coming was their undeniable attraction for each other. Rosie has a secret that prevents her from directly helping Anthony, but will she risk it all in the name of true love?

Gahhhh.... Anthony and Rosie were just so precious that I loved everything about them! 🫠 Their characters felt so raw and real and the blossoming of their friendship to lovers was just 🤌🏻 UGH! I mean how cute were they both with their spontaneous bucket list?!? 🩷 The chemistry and tension between them was just like no other. Anthony was definitely living a stale life, bound by duty and expectations, but when Rosie comes along and injects some fun into him, we really do see them bring out the best in each other. I loved how Anthony's dream soon became Rosie's dream too! Plus the 'My Wife's scenes too... 😵🫠 Their character development throughout the book was a joy to read and I'm so, so happy they got their much deserved HEA 💖

Highly recommend this book (and series) which I must say just keeps on getting better and better. (special mention to Joy! ❤️). I can't wait to see what Angela brings us next, especially with Emma and Seamus' story!

Thank you to Angela and the author agency for gifting me with an eARC, in exchange for an honest review 🫶🏻

I enjoyed reading the story 'The Love Losers' by Angela Casella very much. It was excellent and included so much more than romance. It had comedy and mystery and so many other facets to it. It starts out with poor Anthony having a deadline to be married by New Year's Eve in order to inherit a fortune. He unfortunately is quickly running out of time because he had had a fiancé lined up, but she cheated on him with one of his rich friends and jilted him for his friend. As his friends are trying to find him brides, he recognizes a woman who was helping to cater a tea at his prior engagement party. The older woman who was giving the tea mixed some of her "special" mushrooms in with the tea and it was while the tea drinkers were high under the influence of the tea, that the ex -fiancé confessed that she was leaving Anthony for the man she was cheating with. Anyway, the woman he recognized named Rosie had impressed him with her beauty and sweetness the minute he saw her. In fact, he called her "Angel' when he first saw her. He has the same impression of her the next time he sees her. She is attracted to him too and when they chat, they are both surprised how easy they find it to talk to each other. She knows of his need to find a woman agreeable to marry him within a month for a set fee, so she tells him she will help him find someone. But they are just so happy to see each other every time they meet that they just enjoy their time together. Added to this, there is someone sending threats to Anthony and his family if he goes through with the wedding. It is an exciting and busy tale and well worth reading.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 🌶️🌶️

Angela never fails to deliver a romance that is full of swoon worthy moments, wonderful characters, a storyline that is impossible to put down, and laugh out loud moments. This book can be read as a standalone, but as I learned in reading the series in order, it does help establish returning characters, small spoilers, and the overarching themes which can be found in all the books. Again not necessary, but recommended.

Rosie is a bright, sunny disposition, who finds the positive in any situation. She brings the sunshine with her wherever she goes. She enjoys being challenged, taking risks, and isn’t afraid to jump feet first into a situation that most others would turn and run from. It’s basically how she ended up in a marriage of convenience to Anthony.

Anthony is a hard worker, but tired of his job. In order to receive his inheritance, he must be married by the age of 34. He is recently dumped by the girl he thought he would marry, but is in need of a bride and soon. When he meets Rosie, their chemistry is obvious to the reader, but of course, the MCs have to go through twists and turns to get to their HEA.

As her previous books in this series, there is a dash of suspense, that is perfectly woven in with the romance, humor, and swoony moments. Our characters are deep and dynamic, keeping the reader intrigued. As their journey continues we find out more of their pasts and why they are the way they are. We see personal healing, are reminded bruised isn’t broken, and finding your voice.

As always, review any author notes before reading.

Well this was Another amazing addition to the Unlucky In Love Series by Angela Casella.

We have seen Rosie and Anthony in the previous book && i was so hoping they would get their own book, and Angela definitely pulled through with a fantastic storyline & brought that book to life in this fun universe she has created!

Anthony has a short period of time to find a wife and get married, as he is going to lose his inheritance if he is not married by his upcoming birthday.

So of course, he has everyone trying to set him up, his friends interviewing candidates, and all the chaos that you can imagine that would come with some Money hungry ladies.

And it brings such a hilariously funny and interesting story.

I adored how Rosie and Anthony were friends with that sizzling chemistry that was so easy to see, but she wasn’t into the money - she just really enjoyed the man! And she brought him out of his stiff shell! Helped him to become less tight knit.

Their story takes several crazy turns and you will find yourself laughing out loud, shocked in a few scenes and just overall enjoying the flow! The goofy side characters, the crazy side character and some super eclectic friends thrown into the bunch really brought all the life to the story as well.

It was such a great read! I highly recommend & also suggest grabbing the first 2 books in the series!

“But what are you going to do when all of the women want to throw their panties over the bar at you?”

“ I want her to become part of of the fabric of who I am. I want her to be woven into me, and me into her.”

Anthony is dejected since his fiancée dumped him for his best friend. Not because he’s heartbroken or anything. He wasn’t crazy about Nina, the whole relationship was mainly a business transaction. He needs to be married before his birthday in a few weeks or else he forfeits his hefty inheritance. Nina agreed to marry him for money, but even a million dollars payout wasn’t enough to keep her. This situation is messing with his head, and he can’t afford the distraction since he needs a wife in less than a month. That endeavor requires his full attention.

He and Rosie are acquaintances until running into one another at the Peanut Bar, where they quickly become fast friends. Rosie’s sympathetic to Anthony’s plight and declares herself his wingman, vowing to find him a wife. He’ll take all the help he can get, so Anthony quickly agrees to work together. They’re trying to stay on mission, which is tough to do when they can’t deny the mutual attraction, but it isn’t easy. There’s an element of danger bringing suspense and surprises, which is the cherry on top. Anthony and Rosie are my favorite couple of the series and I couldn’t get enough of them. Their story made me laugh out loud a few times but also had plenty of heart and spice.

Thanks to @angelacasellaauthor and @theauthor.agency for the #gifted copy of this book.

"The first time I saw you, I thought I'd seen an angel.'
'You were drunk.'
In vinos veritas. I knew what I was seeing."

Summary: Anthony has to get married on New Year's Eve in order to get his inheritance, but after having a terrible fiancée before he wants nothing to do with love. He has big dreams though that have been squished by all those at the company his father built. Enter Rosie. They had a terrible and hard to remember first meeting, but on their second meeting they vow to do bucket lists together before Anthony has to get married. What neither of them had planned on their bucket list was to fall in love.

Thoughts: I fell in love with Anthony and Rosie. After reading about Anthony the last two books, I wasn't sure how to feel about him, but he won me over pretty much right away. Anthony and Rosie's chemistry could be seen right away with their banter and fun. I love the idea of the bucket lists because it helped Anthony to really stretch himself to see that he can do challenging things and still be successful. Rosie was always there to cheer him on and supporting him to seek his dreams, but I LOVED how Anthony turned it around on her to finally help her see that she has dreams as well. Nicole ALWAYS brings the comedic relief at just the right time, but it was also fun to see all the other characters I've come to love in this series. Ahhh I think this one just might be my favorite of this series!!

This series has been fun, I’m looking forward to the holiday novella featuring Jake's brother, Ryan, coming out in November 2024, as well as Seamus and Emma's story, which will conclude the series in February 2025.

So far, I’ve really enjoyed these books, with the first one being my favorite—a rare occurrence for me, as the first book in a series is usually a "warm-up." Not that the following books were bad; they just didn’t resonate with me quite as strongly.

I want to clarify that my high rating isn’t based solely on the plot or the quality of the storytelling. I’m rating it within the context of what it is, a “fluff read.” These books are light, guaranteed HEA reads, and for that type, they’re above average. There's more to them than the typical "boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl" etc. Each book presents a unique hurdle that adds complexity to the relationships, with a crime or mystery that needs to be solved, making the stories more engaging and even relatable in some ways.

Rosie and Anthony were a great couple, and their relationship felt mostly believable. I also loved seeing all the other characters continue to play roles in each other's stories. However, the epilogue fell a bit flat for me—it felt more like a setup for book 4 than a satisfying conclusion for Rosie and Anthony.

Joy, Rosie’s elderly roommate, was a fun addition to the mix, adding humor and heart to the story.

Overall, this series is a great choice if you’re looking for something lighter but still emotionally engaging, with some realism woven in. It’s definitely worth picking up!

This is the first book I have read by this author! And I think it hurt my reading experience a little because this is the 3rd book in the series. This story follows Anthony and Rosie- in which Anthony needs to marry by New Years to gain access to his trust fund. Rosie steps in to find a suitable match for him but overtime they both realize that they are the ones that belong with each other. Also, it helped push things along when they run into Anthony's ex and Rosie says they are dating. I thought this was such a funny and cute romance. I really liked Rosie, I enjoyed her positive and fun personality and that she was always willing to try something new. I think their bucket list idea was absolutely adorable and hilarious. I thought Anthony was sweet and thoughtful and once he decided who he wanted to be, he improved as a character. I felt he was a little too weak in the beginning, with everyone pushing his ideas aside.
I enjoyed how they both brought out the best in each other. Overall, I liked the book but there were a few reasons why I gave it 3.5 stars. I personally thought it was too long. I got bored at certain parts of the book and wanted to skip through some scenes that weren't important to Rosie and Anthony's story. Also, I thought the side suspense plot was weak and pointless. There was no mystery to it- I realized it from the midpoint of the book. I also think you need to read the first two books to understand who the other characters are in the story because they show up so frequently. I might go back and read The Love Bandits!

This is the third book in the Unlucky in Love series, and it picks up in the aftermath of Joy/Rosie accidentally drugging everyone with “tea” and Anthony Rosings Smith’s fiancée, Nina, leaving him for his best friend. Now, Anthony faces a major problem: he needs to get married within a month to inherit his trust fund.

Rosie has a secret of her own, and if she had her way, no one would ever find out what it is. Despite this, she’s an amazing character—funny, witty, and always keeping everyone on their toes. I also loved her relationship with Joy (we don’t get enough age-gap friendships in books).

Anthony really didn’t think he would find true love, he just wanted to become the person his dad never had faith that he would be. But when he met Rosie in the peanut bar and started spending more time with her.. he started to feel differently.. which lead to one of my favorite book quotes “ “I want her to become part of the fabric of who I am. I want her to be woven into me, and me into her.”

The chemistry between Rosie and Anthony is undeniable. It’s a classic opposites-attract situation, and the banter between them is top-notch. I especially loved how their fake marriage came about.

Lastly, while this book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the series in order. Previous characters, especially my favorites Nicole and Damien, make appearances, which really adds to the experience.

Anthony Rosings Smith needs a bride to claim his inheritance, and he only has a few weeks left to make that happen after he found his now ex cheating with his best friend. Rosie James needs to fix things. She’s the best kind of chaos and now she’s focused on finding Anthony a wife.

But, as they become friends, feelings grow, and so does the drama! Rosie’s past may make it impossible to be Anthony’s wife. Someone has threatened Anthony’s mother. And, Nina, the cheating ex, is back and causing issues even though she is the one that walked away from Anthony.

I adored Anthony. He is a man really working to get out from under the shadow and expectations of his father, who was a real piece of work. He needs life breathed into him, and Rosie is the perfect person for that! Rosie brings joy to everyone in her circle. Chaos follows her, but she always has such good vibes and intent! Mrs Rosings continues to be a fabulous character in this series, and the additions of Joy and Dom were a lot of fun. And, Anthony’s sister, Emma feels like a real wild card and I can’t wait for her story!

With a hangout called The Peanut Bar, a snow plow to the rescue, Time After Time, a ride on a unicorn, and a splendid game of paintball, The Love Losers was fun, emotional and fabulous! Anthony and Rosie finally break the curse and get lucky in love and end their losing streaks with bad relationships. 5 stars!

We first met Rosie in Declan’s story: she’s been a willing participant in the antics of the Love Fixers, whether it’s delivering a box of peni$ shaped cookies, or a bouquet of phallu$ lollipops, she was game for anything if it meant sweet revenge for a wronged party. How apropos then, that she’s compelled to help the hunky Anthony find a suitable in name only wife in a matter of three weeks to prevent him from losing his inheritance.

We met Anthony in the Love Bandits when his mother arranged successively more ridiculous and hilarious scenarios to thwart his nuptials to the faithless Nina, who was sleeping with Anthony’s best friend. As he’s on a deadline to find a stand in wife to fulfill the unreasonable but irrevocable terms of his father’s will, he accepts the lovely Rosie’s offer to help him.

Of course as Rosie and Anthony work together, they have difficulty denying their mutual attraction. Rosie, however, has secrets that prevent her from offering herself as Anthony’s would be wife. Add in some threatening messages directed at Anthony’s mother, checking items off each other’s bucket lists, and a number of business concerns which hang in the balance, it’s a raucous, messy good time.

I was fortunate to have received an advance reader copy from the author and bookfunnel, and I’m happy to share my honest review.

I am convinced that everything that Angela Casella writes is gold. I am a huge fan and The Unlucky in Love series is a favorite of mine because of the romance, the emotions, and the humor! The Love Losers is book 3 in the Unlucky in Love series. I highly suggest reading books 1 and 2 to get the series' vibe and because that's where you get the backstory of Anthony and Rosie... and also because they're great books and you will love them!

We first met Anthony, earlier in the series. He was previously engaged to Nina and is now single (thanks Mom). The catch is that he needs to get married by the end of the year to inherit his father's estate. The clock is ticking for him to find a suitable bride to tie the knot by New Year's Eve. Jake is on the case to find a match. Rosie, Declan's sister, also tries to help him...but their chemistry is undeniable and well, you see where this is going.

But wait! There's more! There is also a mystery! A stalker is trying to sabotage everything. And, so many other characters complete the book beautifully - and humorously. I LOVE Joy! Mrs Rosings, Dan, Jake, and crew just make this one a winner. Pick it up, read it, and have fun! Just a feel-good, easy read. Enjoy!! Well done, Angela!.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

“Your baggage… You want to start living, you got to put it down or throw it out. That’s the only way.”

“If you don’t pay attention to the good things in life when they appear, there’s a whole lot you may be missing.”

The 3rd book of the Unlucky in Love series does not disappoint, mixing romcom antics with a bit of mystery. Anthony, our MMC, has a pretty big trust fund coming to him but there is a catch - he has to be married by New Year’s Eve. During the epic blowup of his previous relationship, he meets Rosie, our FMC and a complete wildcard. She’s running from her past but loves to help people and decides she’s going to help Anthony find a wife. When the sparks start to fly between them instead, they have a lot to work through, including working on their bucket lists and finding out who is stalking Anthony’s mother. The found family aspect of this book is one of my favorite parts. Between the lovable idiot bartender, my favorite private investigator team - Nicole and Damien, and Rosie’s elderly best friend who hosts psychedelic tea parties, the characters in this small town romance series just gets better and better. I’m looking forward to the next one!

This is the third book in the Unlucky In Love series. I've read and loved them all, but this is definitely my favorite one (so far!). The story had me hooked and curious about who the villain could possibly be, and immediately invested in the growing relationship between Anthony and Rosie.

I think part of the reason I loved this one so much has to do with Rosie, and how much I can relate to her. As a person who has often felt scattered and directionless, Rosie made a lot of sense to me. And, despite sort of disliking Anthony in the earlier books, I really got the chance to connect with him on this one. He was relatable, too; trying to maintain impossible standards and living up to a legacy he didn't really want is very draining, and it left him a stoic, unfulfilled statue of a man.

There's always fun to be had with the side characters in these books, and I laughed a lot when it came to banter, Rosie's roommate Joy, and pretty much everything that went down at the peanut bar.

If you are looking for a romcom with a fake marriage, a hilarious, psychedelic-tea-peddling roommate, and snarky side characters, woven with dangerous mystery and a bit of spice, then this should be on your list!

Thank you to the author and to The Author Agency for my gifted ARC. I am voluntarily sharing my honest review.
