The Only Song is a contemporary rivals to lovers slow burn spicy romance. It is book one in the Only You series but can be read as a standalone.
The Only Song by Bianca Nara is a captivating romance between Sadie and Jaxon, two violinists bound by a tangled past. Reuniting six years after their intense college rivalry, they enter a world where music is everything, and their journey from heartbreak and trauma to a love that leads to deep self-discovery.
Jaxon lives his dream as a musician but is burdened by secrets that could shatter everything he’s worked for. Now a music teacher, Sadie has struggled to move past a life-changing event from six years ago, feeling that nothing she does is enough until one audition brings them face to face.
I loved our main characters so much! This was a tantalizing slow burn, I loved Sadie and Jaxon's chemistry/dynamic/smut between them was sooo good.
This is a fabulous debut novel and an awesome love story!
Sadie aka "Sass" (pet name given by the MMC) is a soloist and never had the opportunity to play at orchestras and concerts. For so long in college she lived in the shadow of her academic Rival Jaxon and was the second best. She decided to give up on her performing dream and worked as a music teacher.
Six years after college graduation, she has the opportunity to audition for an orchestra where Jaxon the MMC and her rival is a judge and her sitting partner. The novel is told in dual POV and apparently Jaxon and Sadie have unfinished history, unresolved feelings and some hidden secrets.
I loved the chemistry, the banter, the connection. I loved the music world and knowledge. It was not forced upon the readers in a pretentious way. It's obvious the author did her research or maybe she's a musician and I appreciated the information about the soloist world.
I'm looking forward for the following books in the series with the rest of the secondary characters!
✨I ABSOLUTELY LOVED EVERYTHING!✨ From the very beginning, the story grips you with its vivid scenes and relatable characters. I highly recommend this book for those who love music and romance. I enjoyed Sadie’s and Jaxon’s love journey with each other!
Sadie and Jaxon, both violinist 🎻and both college rivals. They feel real and relatable, each with their own struggles and dreams. You really get invested in their stories and root for them throughout the book. You’ll feel their chemistry and it was fire!🔥Nara’s ability to weave together music🎶 and emotion adds a unique layer to the story, allowing readers to feel the rhythm of each moment they’re together.
What sets this book apart is its deep dive into the themes of resilience and self-discovery. The characters face real-life challenges that resonate, making their journeys feel authentic and impactful.🥹 Overall, this book is a captivating read that will leave you reflecting on love’s power and the importance of following one’s dreams🫶🏽.
The Only Song by Bianca Nara swept me into a beautifully layered romance between Sadie and Jaxon, two violinists with a complex past and even more complex dreams. Reunited six years after their college rivalry, they find themselves in a world where music is everything—and where every note has its own cost.
The line, “Love can flourish over distance and time, but it shouldn’t force you to want to change aspects of your life unless you both agree on it. Love’s a conversation, not just a compromise,” feels like the heart of their story. Sadie’s self-doubt about her talent and Jaxon’s fears around his career with RSI are such realistic, personal struggles, and I loved seeing how they became each other’s biggest support system. They showed that love is about more than chemistry; it’s about lifting each other up and staying steady, even when life throws its hardest challenges.
This story struck such a chord for me, and I’m already looking forward to Xander and Lily’s story in Book 2. If you love romance with genuine emotion and depth, you’ll feel right at home in The Only Song.
Thank you Bianca Nara for sending me your book! I loved reading this. This book truly flowed like music. It was delicate and beautiful. It showcased such a beautiful story for Jaxson and Sadie. I loved the way these characters talked about their attraction towards one another. The way the author wrote it just intensified the chemistry they’ve always had and how that chemistry continued to grow as they got to know each other again. Jaxson and Sadie had a lot of history together and I loved all their closed door affections. How they were so vulnerable and comfortable with one another. How their love and lust never died but still lingered as they continued to grow closer. These characters were very entertaining. Sadie had high levels of sass and I absolutely love it!! She always had a comeback for Jaxson and I love how much banter they had with one another. It was funny and very entertaining to read. Jaxson was so loveable! His passion for music was very fierce as well as his yearning for Sadie. The moment Jaxson saw Sadie after all those years he was whipped all over again. He knew he had to win her over again and I love all the little sweet things he did for her. All the reassuring and supportive words he whispered to her had my heart melting. I loved how both these characters found and appreciated the small details within one another. The little observations they noticed were so well written. Especially their monologues at the end!!! They were so beautiful and raw. I loved reading this couple while they were on tour. Getting to know each other better and when they became a painstakingly cute ass couple! One of my favourite parts about this book was the topic of music. It was very consistent throughout the book and it wasn’t just a subplot or something mentioned here and there. It was written as a core focus and you can tell that this author had history with music in the way it’s written with so much care and detail. I really did feel transcended reading this it was really good! And I cannot wait to read Xander’s (Jaxson’s best friends) story!!!!!!!
When I met Bianca at a local author event and she told me about her DEBUT novel, I knew I was going to have to read it. Even more so, when she reached out to join her street team there was no way I was going to turn that down.
The passion with which she spoke about this book was palpable and I was so excited. While reading the book, I knew how much of her heart she put into each page….and then I read the author’s note and it all clicked.
The Only Song is an incredible story of resilience and perseverance. Sadie and Jaxon were college rivals and find themselves facing each other again after six years. I quickly fell for both Sadie and Jaxon and believed everything about their relationship…both the love and the hate. The chemistry and tension between these two is perfectly balanced with playfulness and banter.
This book is not only for the musicians, I was the athlete and Bianca flawlessly taught me so much of the world in which she grew up. I am fascinated and cannot wait to learn more!

Loved this book!! The chemistry between Sadie and Jaxon is fantastic and I loved how easily I was sucked into the orchestra lifestyle!!! A wonderful debut
It's the bouquet of sunflowers that catches my eye, the yellow petals bright as her smile. So brilliant and magnetic. It reminds me of how my eyes follow her wherever she goes, like a sunflower to the sun.

Bianca, this debut was everything - I'm so proud of you 💗
I'm so in love with Sadie and Jaxon - they have my heart 🥹💗 Bianca's writing is so beautiful, you instantly fall in love with her characters and her writing. I absolutely loved this book from the moment I picked it up. Sadie & Jaxon's story is so beautiful - I already miss them so much.
I can't believe that it's her debut romance - the writing is so beautiful, it really emphasizes the feelings of the characters throughout the book and creates this amazing new world that you can't help but fall in love with 🥺
Sadie my sweet, strong, and independent girl who deserves the world. Her dream was always to be a part of the orchestra of her dreams – so once she gets the opportunity she doesn’t hesitate to audition. I love how hard she works as a violinist and is a violinist teacher – Sadie is such an icon 🥺💗 Her friendship with Sloane is my favorite friendship I’ve ever read – both of them care so much about each other and Sloane is my favorite girl. Where can I find my Sadie and Sloane? I adore them so much 😭💗
Jaxon my sweet boy – I love him so much 🥺 The way he couldn’t stop thinking about Sadie after all these years, and wants to be in the orchestra with her – he’s everything Bianca 😭 I was crying when he couldn’t play the violin anymore because of his injury – I want to hug him so bad. But even if he couldn’t play anymore, he wanted Sadie to take his spot as a Concertmaster because he believed in her 🥹 He was so patient with Sadie and waited for her for 6 years - where is my Jaxon 😭 Can we talk about how he bought her sunflowers because they reminded him of Sadie? I'm so in love with Jaxon 🥹💗
Even after 6 years, Jaxon is helplessly in love with Sadie 🥺💗 It was so adorable when he opened up to her about his injury and his mental health - he knew that whenever she was with him he was happy again. Sadie was the calm to his storm and Jaxon helped her become the confident woman we love. Thank you to Jaxon for protecting and loving Sadie the way she deserves to be loved 🥺💗
Thank you so much Bianca for the ARC - I'm so proud of you 🫶🏻💗
Favorite Quotes:
The room feels brighter with her in it, and I'll bask in its warmth for as long as I can.
But the last time I was happy was the last time I was with her.
"It made me think of you. Or me, actually. "Why?" "Because I'll follow wherever you shine, Sadie. I'm the sunflower and you're my sun."
Sadie, our perfect, insecure, perfectionist, anxious, sassy violinist FMC stole my heart from page one. She’s been told no for the past 6 years, but now she has a chance to play in her dream orchestra. She’s ready to show everyone that they were wrong but when she realizes who she’s partnered with everything she thought she knew is thrown out the window. She made the mistake of falling for her college rival 6 years ago and now he’s her stand partner🤭
Jaxon, our stubborn, headstrong, lonely, concertmaster, finds himself distracted by having Sadie as his stand partner, and when she becomes a threat to his spot in the orchestra, he does everything he can to not risk it. Especially with his injury making this possibly his last tour and making everyday a fight. But every secret he has kept for the past 6 years are about to destroy everything they have built🫣
This book was about learning to be open and honest with others, being vulnerable, even when all of this could hurt yourself and others. They find themselves questioning their feelings towards each other. When their feelings from 6 years ago come crashing down and they are sharing a hotel room it forces them to reveal everything.
From the airplane, the one bed, the violin case, to helping her with a solo this man was down bad for Sadie and helplessly in love with her. This man may have communication issues and not wanting to open up about his illness but when it came too Sadie he brought her coffee, blueberry muffins, made her dinner at night because she hasn’t had a home cooked meal in years. Don’t even get me started on the dirty mouth on this man AND the piano scene I was done for! Sadie taking care of Jaxon when his pain became too much and him opening up had me crying and wanting to hug him. 🖤
Biance wrote a perfect debut book written with giggling, kicking our feet in glee, and blushing moments to make a perfect romance book! I loved that this book was different from anything that I have read before. I loved every single moment of it! I cannot wait for everyone to read and meet Sadie and Jaxon! Thank you Bianca for choosing me as an ARC reader🖤
What an amazing debut novel!! This book tugged on my heartstrings (sorry, I had to make that pun!). I’ve actually never read a story about 2 musicians so it felt like a whole different world I was reading about. The only song follows 2 musicians (one is a teacher and the other as an concertmaster). Sadie Love’s dream has been to perform with an orchestra but does not succeed to achieve her dreams. 6 years later, in a recent audition, she receives the opportunity to perform… but with her rival, Jaxon Tanner. With the forced proximity and all the sass backs, Jaxon and Sadie try to work together.
Can we also take a moment and appreciate Jaxon as a new book boyfriend?! 🥹 He buys her her favourite muffin everyday, he booked a suite with a kitchenette so he can make her homecooked meals, and comforted her on the plane. 🙊
Read this book if you loved: - Twisted Hate by Ana Huang: The characters are giving me Josh and Jules vibes! - Not another love song by Julie Soto
Spoiler alert 🚨 Highs and lows of this book! - Since I don’t know anything about music, there were some terms that I did not know about such as a stand partner. I didn’t realize how important it was until I googled it. I wish that there more details about the music and orchestra life. - I feel like the character’s struggles weren’t covered deeply. Jaxon had Repetitive Strain Injury and while he suffered from pain throughout the book, it wasn’t discussed a lot. - I was so excited to read about an Asian male main lead character but there was no mention of his cultural background or any celebrations. There was just the description of his dark hair and chocolate brown eyes. I feel disappointed because as an Asian person, I was excited for the cultural representation. Sadie is caucasian so they were in an interracial relationship. However, that was not addressed. - I feel like I had more questions about their past. - I loved learning about their family dynamics. Jaxon feels distanced from his family and Sadie constantly receives criticism and disappointment from her parents.
Bianca! Oh how I adore you and this book! A fantastic mix of rivals to lovers, with lots of tension and representation of illnesses and how it affects someone! This book is open, insightful and beautiful!
Sadie, our strong, determined and sassy violinist who has always dreamed of being in the orchestra of her dreams, and when the opportunity arises, she is more than ready to get started... that is until the one man she wants to forget, her college rival and the man who rejected her 6 years ago, is her partner and now she has to travel with him for the next three months... and boy, has he gotten more handsome... I mean stubborn and annoying...
Jaxon, our stubborn and headstrong concertmaster, finds himself getting distracted by having Sadie back in his proximity, and when she could take his spot in the orchestra, he cant risk it. Not with his injury getting the better of him everyday. But when Jaxon is harbouring a secret that he's been hiding for 6 years, she might just hate him once more.
But when they spend more and more time together on the road, they slowly learn they have a lot more in common then they originally thought. That they might be better as friends than rivals. So when Jaxon offers to help Sadie with her solo performances, she cant help but take it, after so many rejections, she wants something to go her way!
This book is about learning to be vulnerable, open and honest, even when it could hurt the person you hold close. Even when the person you claim to loath, is the reason why you get up everyday and keep going. Sadie and Jaxon constantly find themselves in situations of questioning their feeling towards each other but when everything they felt 6 years ago comes crashing back, the forces of proximity help them reveal their feelings.
From the one bed, to the violin case, to organising solos, this man was helplessly in love with Sadie again before he could stop it. It's about being open about illnesses and mental health and that it's okay to take a break or ask for help or not have to worry about pleasing others!
Sass and Jaxon just got each other and it made my heart melt so man y times. I screamed, I cried, I laughed and I swooned.
And oh my gosh, this might be a slow burn but gosh when the burn comes it comes in HAWT!!!! These two are freaky hehehe. I'm talking they get freaky whilst playing the PIANO! Like goddamn! Calling Sass a good girl and telling her how good she sings for him... hot damnnnnn!
This book was so enjoyable, I loved learning about music again and about in an orchestra (brings me back to my band days when I played the clarinet) hehehehe. I loved the forced proximity and the tension between these two so much and the way the story flowed was amazing!
Thank you to Bianca for reaching out to me and asking me to join your team and for selecting me as an ARC reader! 🥹
“Only Song” by Bianca Nara hit all the right notes for me! I never realized I had a thing for orchestra romances, but here we are, with Only Song giving me a new book kink. There’s something magical about the dynamic between first chairs and concertmasters, and the chemistry in this story delivers that in spades. Yes, it’s a bit unrealistic how the first-chair titles get handed out so easily (those spots can take years to earn), but that detail only added to the allure of the storyline.
Jaxon’s nickname for Sadie, “Sass,” was perfection—the only nickname since Logan’s “Ace” for Rory on Gilmore Girls that made my heart flip! This was a serious slow burn, but oh, did the tension pay off. The spicy scenes had the right kick, with a solid 🌶️🌶️🌶️ rating. Still, I’ll admit I was a bit perplexed by the restraint level. Four weeks sharing a room, one night sharing a bed, and then he’s back on the couch? The tension was boiling over, and I couldn’t believe they held back that much. And don’t get me started on the abrupt jump from the stage to L.A.—talk about breaking the moment!
If I had one other tiny nitpick, it’d be the scent reminders (cedar wood & mint for Jaxon, vanilla & rose for Sadie) that kept popping up every few pages. But overall, I adored it. I laughed, I cried, I swooned! The found family dynamic was so heartwarming, especially with the fraternity and sorority relationships portrayed in such a refreshing and positive light. The bond between bigs and littles was a perfect touch.
Can’t wait for Xander & Lily’s story next
—thank you, Bianca, for letting me be on this ARC team!

The way I devoured this book! The burn was slow indeed and I could not put it down. And I’m telling you, the wait was so worth it! On top of Jaxon and Sadie’s story, I felt all the nostalgia from my orchestra/band days and I was hooked.
I always appreciate the AANHPI rep, and Jaxon was everything! Their banter and the tension was so good. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Jaxon and Sadie! Their unyielding support for each other, the sweet moments at night, the secret dance on stage. They were perfect together. I fell in love with Jax more and more as he did all he could to help Sadie live her dream at the same time he was losing his. I sobbed when he couldn’t play anymore. They both deserved the world after all of the pain and loneliness they experienced. I could especially relate to their experiences with high expectations from parents and it made me so happy to see them defend each other.
This has been one of my favorite debut and most anticipated romance novels of the year! Bianca gave us such an emotional, sweet and spicy story and I’m dying for the rest of the series!
Thank you so much for the opportunity to be part of the ARC team. Sadie and Jaxon are so special!
I’ve been following you for a while, and this book was such a beautiful reflection of the personal experiences you’ve shared with us. Reading it as an ARC felt like an honor, and I’m so grateful you trusted me with this story. Honestly, I teared up toward the end because this book FEELS real. The way you explored themes of mental health, healing, and chronic illness, while centering the power of music—it was just heartwarming.
Sadie and Jaxon, both violinists, are characters I’ll carry with me for a long time. I absolutely adore them. There’s something about their journey—whether it’s their love for music, their struggles, or their personal growth—that felt so authentic and raw. It’s like these two are an extension of you, Bianca, and I love how much of yourself you’ve poured into them. Every feeling, every moment you wanted to convey, I felt it all.
This book will resonate with anyone who’s ever been through a difficult time and found solace in music or love. It’s simple, heartwarming, and deeply touching. If you're looking for a story that reflects real-life emotions and struggles with an added layer of healing, I highly recommend this one.
ARC Review 4/5 ⭐️ I had the opportunity to read this book early and it was such and enjoyable read. This book is a perfect pick for anyone who loves a good romance, especially when it’s mixed with music and emotional depth. The story revolves around two violinists with past. The characters of Sadie and Jackson really drew me in. They feel so real and relatable, which makes it easy to sympathize with their struggles. The way they navigate their professional rivalry, personal history, and growing attraction is so well done. There’s this palpable tension between them, and I loved how it unraveled slowly. It’s one of those books where you can’t help but root for the characters, hoping they’ll finally see what’s right in front of them. I also really appreciated the setting and how music played such a central role in their connection. As a reader, I felt like I could understand their emotions through the music, which was a nice touch. If you’re into stories with a slowburn romance, complex characters, and a bit of academic rivalry, The Only Song is definitely worth checking out. It’s a fantastic debut, and I can’t wait to see what Nara does next!
For fans of Not Another Love Song by Julie Soto, The Only Song is a flawless debut from Bianca Nara about two violin players stuck between their past as college rivals and their present undeniable attraction to each other as they navigate being stand partners.
After years of teaching the next generation of violinists after being unable to land a spot on an orchestra, Sadie Love finally auditions for the Troubadour Orchestra and when sees the very man she always felt second best to in college, she’s determined to not let him get in her way of making a name for herself as a professional violinist.
Jaxon Tanner battled his expectations for himself in college and now faces a whole new type of battle: he’s been diagnosed with a repetitive strain injury that threatens the longevity of his career as a concertmaster. When his old rival takes the position of associate concertmaster of the orchestra, Jaxon has to deal with feeling both threatened and turned on by her.

I don’t think I’ll ever look at pianos in the same way because of Sadie and Jaxon. Jaxon was down bad for Sadie. I’m talking FERAL. The swooniest book boyfriend who says things like she’s always been more than good enough!!! calls her his lark!!! He cooks for her and teaches her how to cook because she never had home-cooked meals growing up, she helps take care of him when his RSI flares, and more but I don’t want to spoil anything!
This was a fantastic debut novel from Bianca! I loved the character development and how the plot was well paced. I know that the world is going to fall in love with Sadie and Jaxon! I can’t wait for Xander and Lily’s story that got teased at the end!
Features: — AAPI MMC — chronic pain rep — dual POV — rivals to lovers — forced proximity — one bed — slow burn
Today's the day this book comes out into the world, and let's start this by saying a huge thanks to Bianca for giving me the opportunity to read the early copy in exchange for an honest opinion.
I was so happy and excited about this book. You guys have no idea!!! It's a rivals to lovers, slow burn, spicy book with forced proximity, chronic pain rep, and only one bed trope.🙇🏽♀️
Sadie gets the chance of playing on the orchestra of her dreams, only to realise she's partnered with the guy she fell for six years ago. Jaxon has been a stellar violinist for years. Now, he faces a hard decision: his health or doing what he loves. His injury threatens his career, but not as much as Sadie does.
I loved this book. I don't have enough words to describe it. The plot and the development are soo good!! I loved every bit of it, and I'm still so hung up on the characters. Sadie and Jax have a special place in my heart, one that MIGHT be replaced with the characters of The Only Choice.👀
It's a steamy romance with a bit of a twist (it might break your heart a little🤏🏻). Once again, thank you SO much to Bianca. I can't wait to read more from this series.
The Only Song was a great read from an incredible debut author.
This story follows Sadie and Jaxon, both professional violinists and college rivals. There are a lot of relatable scenes and I feel like from the beginning it hooks you right in. The authors ability to weave in her experiences throughout this book was not lost on me.
I got very invested in these characters and their growth throughout the book. She really made it easy to root for them both even though they both had me frustrated at times!!
Chemistry was top notch, and as someone who spent time in the music world it is nice to read a book about music, written by a musician. (Note to research what you write about if you didn’t live it authors, I’m begging).
Nara told a really good story about self discovery and overcoming obstacles that have been set upon you. This story felt authentic and real and I can’t wait for more people to read it!
Wow!!! If I didn’t know this was a debut, I wouldn’t believe you! Bianca’s writing is phenomenal and flows so well! You really love both characters almost immediately! - Sadie and Jaxon, violinists, were college rivals. They shared a kiss 6 years ago and that left things in turmoil. Now, they find themselves partnered together for 4 months. 👀 - Throughout this book you immediately fall for both characters. You instantly know the struggles each face on the daily. From their first interaction you can feel the tension radiating off of the page. This whole story was electric! They both have faced real life challenges and that makes you feel for them so much more. They help each other through self discovery. When one is knocked down, the other helps build them up and vise versa. You never stop rooting for them. For who they are as a person, and who they are together. This was truly an amazing debut!!
Jaxon and Sadie met in college as rival violinists. They both were headed to be the best out there for what's called concertmaster in an orchestra. One fateful night at a frat party and everything went wrong for Sadie, and Jaxon had walked away. 6 years ago, Jaxon left because of insecurities about finding love too young. 6 years later, Sadie finally auditions for the Orchestra Jaxon has been concert master of that's been on tour. Jaxon has been hiding an injury that is impacting his career.
This slow burn takes a minute to warm up for these two to find those feelings for each other again. There was some spice, but the story was the stronger part of this read for the couple. I really enjoyed this book as the start of this series.
⚠️Please read all trigger warnings ⚠️ Thank you, author, for the ARC! Release Date: November 8, 2024
“Nothing has ever threatened my career…until she came along.”
Ob. Sessed. That’s really all I have to say. I loved every single minute of this book. From the beginning this book brings you in and keeps you there. Sadie and Jaxon’s love story is one for the ages.
I loved every moment of these characters. How they fought against the tide to become who they are. How they were resilient enough to keep going when it was hard. The determination they had to be together no matter what obstacles were in their way…even when those obstacles were each other or themselves
And the music! I loved reading a book about musicians.
Seriously. If you’re needing a contemporary romance that will leave you swooning and giggling, this one is it.
A very special thank you to the author for an ARC in exchange for and honest review.
I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have received an advanced copy of The Only Song from the author!
The Only Song is a solid debut novel that tugged at my heartstrings! 🎶🎻 Music is such a huge part of my life and I love that this story encompasses that. Something else I think is wonderful that is included in this story is the chronic illness representation. I did think that the middle of the story was slow in pace and it did lose my attention for some time. I am glad I kept reading though because the last 25% of the story really captured my attention again and the ending made me smile so hard. If you love music, miscommunication, forced proximity, and chronic illness representation then I recommend reading this book! 🫶
“I never thought I’d feel this way—that his arms could feel like a home I never thought I needed.“
wow. this was amazing!! this had me from the very beginning and did not disappoint! The journey these two go through was beautiful. The writing kept me intrigued and in love the entire time.
This follow Sadie & Jaxon, originally College rivals competing to be the best at their school are now back performing together 6 years later. Secrets are spilled, truth comes to light and realizing competing against each other was half the fun in the orchestra.
I highly recommend and it’s out now on Kindle Unlimited, ebook & paperback !!
🎻rivals to lovers 🎻Asian mmc 🎻one bed trope 🎻forced proximity 🎻he falls first & hard 🎻slow burn
Thank you Bianca for the ARC! I absolutely loved it!
As debut book of Bianca Nara, “The Only Song” differs from many contemporary romance books out there by focusing on the niche of classical music. The book follows two former rival violinists and their growth as partners in an orchestra and their growth of feelings. It also hits well loved tropes to scratch that itch in our romantic hearts, like rivals to lovers, forced proximity, only one bed, and is a slow burn full of “will they won’t they”. While I know absolutely nothing about playing the violin, Nara manages to take us on a trip (and a tour) nonetheless where you can’t help but root for the characters in their professional lives and romantic
Rivals to lovers Forced proximity Musicians Dual POV Spice 🌶️
Jaxon and Sadie’s story is what you need! Rivals (frenemies) to lovers! This slow burn makes you wanting more after each chapter. The story line and writing is *chefs kiss*. This book has a great plot with just the right amount of spice! 🌶️ Both MC’s have some family issues - which bring them closer. The way Jaxon feels/treats Sadie is what you would expect your *book boyfriend* to be 🥰. Go give this author a chance, you will not be disappointed!! 💛
This book just wasn’t for me unfortunately. I DNF’d it at 56%.
I just couldn’t get into this book. It all kept going back to something that’s happened that is hinted at six years in their shared past but over 1/2 way through still no clarity. And for me, I really don’t like the miscommunication trope and unfortunately that’s what it was giving me. Not telling others to not read it, but it just moved way to slow for me and it’s just not for me.
the plot was heart wrenching. This college rivalry that became a reunion 6 years later followed two violinists that had a complex past. Their world is full of trauma and heartbreak, discovering themselves while finding their way back together. Bianca did a fantastic job at making the readers feel their characters. I will absolutely be continuing to read Biancas work.
I absolutely loved Sadie & Jaxon. I was hooked from the start to the very end. The rivalry to lovers banter. The found family through their greek family in college. The chronic pain rep. This entire book tug at my heart. I cannot wait for the next book.

this was beautiful. i finished this book in 10 hours. in one day. because it was THAT beautiful. i litterally dont have words for it. jaxon and sadie are PERFECt for each other and how much they love esch other is so heartwarming. the whole story tugged at my heart strings, made i happy and tugged again. it was just absolutly beautiful i dont have words🥹🫶🏼💛 i connected with the characters so much and that made me love them so so much but also the book. WOW. speechless
If you love enemies to lovers, this is the book for you! The author did such a good job in bringing on the tension and yearning. Sometimes, I would even talk to the book as if the characters could hear me like: “oh my gosh, c’mon! Just kiss already”. Characters were well developed and didn’t feel one dimensional.
