THIS BOOK IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Chloe St. Claire has always known she was different from other women. She likes pleasure, even in some of its more extreme forms. But she's totally unprepared for meeting a man she only knows by his screen name, Satyr. He is the very voice of decadence and desire, whispering in her ear: "You know you really want this….." So begins her journey to fulfilling all of her fantasies…. the only question remains, just how far will she go? This is intended for mature audiences, readers 18+.
Kate Kinsey is a saucy wench with a highly sophisticated brain that sometimes still gets obsessed trying to remember all the words to the Gilligan's Island theme song.
She's a truly fabulous person who just can't figure out why she's not rich and famous yet, or why the universe refuses to admit that she is indeed the center of it.
She currently lives in Tennessee with a cat who is in the Witness Protection Program — at least, that's his story and he's sticking to it. He has a fetish for leather shoes and bare ankles, and an obsession with squirrels.
Kate has been collared to her Sir for more than fourteen years. She has been very involved in her local community since she first stepped off the vanilla cliffs and dove into the kinky world of BDSM.
When she's not tied to a cross in a dungeon somewhere, she loves to read as well as write. She's also a painter and a film buff.
Hard as it may be to believe, Kate was raised Southern Baptist, but is recovering.
After reading this book, I was kind of undecided if I liked it or not.
The author's web site states that she wanted this book to be true to the BDSM community, so I am taking this book as a plausible scenario of reality.
What I liked: Strangers meeting on-line then meeting up in person to see if they want to start a BDSM relationship, what was going through the woman's mind as she considered it. The sex was hot. And her incessant whining about pleasing her man gave some hint about her mental state.
What I didn't like: I had a hard time understanding why she got into a relationship with someone who didn't seem to care for her, treated her badly, had a wife and another sub at home, etc. Of course she kept saying the sex was great, but is that all? She got her fantasies fulfilled. Couldn't she have done that with someone who wasn't otherwise attached? Maybe this is my own bias coming through, but I had trouble understanding her motivation toward not wanting any type of relationship even along with the great sex. And after a while, the whining about pleasing her man was not hot, it was just whining.
Last, why was this story divided into 3 books, each so short? It seemed that it could have been 1 book with a beginning, middle and an end.
At the end, I gave this 3 stars because I think I learned something, though maybe I would have liked to have understood better.
WOW! This is some hot stuff! Not the same kind of book as RED, though. This more like a secret peek into a sex slave's diary! Perfect beach reading… or bedtime story, lol.
