Such an awesome short story!!
Cindy has once again made me fall in love with this rich and beautiful world. The nods to the start of Remnants made me smile so much. And im about to dig into book 2 right now.

The Trouble with Knowing is a novella that is set about 18 years before the events of Remnants of a Scarlet Flame.
This novella makes a few things you’ll learn in both Remnants and Embers make sense, but also raises even more questions. I enjoyed this quick read, and it’s going to force me to evaluate a few theories I had. I’m not sure if I’ll just need to rework them or toss them, but I definitely wish we had more Riisii POV in the current books. Hopefully we will get more in the future books.

The Trouble with Knowing is a quick short story that focuses on a young Riisii Evallier and her powers of foresight. I read this after Remnants of a Scarlet Flame, which helps in preparation for Embers Rising. I loved her friendship with her dragon friend, and we see how her visions and actions will play out later in the future.

It has helped me remember what the series is about and ready to dive straight into Embers Rising.
