The book is fun. But the ending of the movie is not included in the book. The book ends midstream and basically says “go see the movie to find out the ending”. That is very frustrating and disappointing.

I don't even care that the ending isn't included in the novel, this book was a very well-written, incredibly fun time and deserves five stars. The author's word choices and overall skill with prose made it so that readers of all ages could thoroughly enjoy it, and I sure did! There were many differences to the film, but it was great to get inside the heads of the characters and experience their emotions in an entirely new way. I was honestly shocked at just how well done this book was given the target audience. I can't recommend it enough for Sonic fans, whether they're a child or an adult. Phegley is simply brilliant!

i keep wanting to give it at least one more star because i love sonic (i love you sonic if ur reading this!!) but it literally cuts off before the climax of the movie

also the writing should just not be this clunky

Sonic the Hedgehog 3: The Official Movie Novelization is a solid translation from screen to page. There are added scenes, as well as extended scenes that enhance the movie's story, as well as a few weird removals that feel odd, but it's still overall a good read. But when we get to the climax... it's extremely disappointing. The removal of the climax of the story feels odd because the other Sonic movie novels have their climaxes, making this feel like a piece of movie promotion, rather then a page by page retelling of the movie. As a result, I have no reason to recommend it or buy it, so, yeah, hopefully the Sonic 4 movie novel will be a much better book, one that actually includes it's climax, I'm holding out hope...

Really bummed the third act was completely omitted, unlike the other two Sonic movie novelizations... Otherwise it was a fun read, especially to compare the differences between certain scenes in the book and the movie!

Personally I’m a die hard sonic fan and sonic 3 is one of my most favorite movies. It’s a really good book but i would absolutely love to hear how the author writes the ending. The ending is sadly not included in the book but it’s still good.

Cuts off before the climax

Exactly what the headline says-this POS cuts off before the climax and tells you to go watch the movie. Excuse me, if I wanted to watch a movie I wouldn’t have bought a freaking book!

loved the extended/added bits that went well with the movie, but the omissions are odd. the most frustrating part, that caused me to remove 2 stars, is that the climax is completely missing, just saying to watch the movie for it. not marking this as a spoiler since people need to be aware of it.
