I started reading this book nearly a year ago, took a long break, and recently came back to finish it. I'm glad I did.

Pilgrim's Progress is a timeless story that illustrates the Christian life in a simple, easy-to-understand way. Even though it was originally written centuries ago, its message is still incredibly relevant today. It honestly captures what following Christ is like: the joys, the hardships, the temptations, the seasons of rest, and the encouragement God provides along the journey.

I especially appreciated this retelling in today's English because it makes the classic much more approachable while preserving its heart and message.

I think every Christian should read this book at least once, and I especially recommend it to new believers as they begin their walk with Christ. It's also the kind of book worth revisiting every few years for encouragement and perspective.

This is one of those Christian classics that deserves a permanent place on the bookshelf.
