If you’ve read Book 1 ‘ Her Bold Proposal’ you may remember Levi Garcia as the man who granted Olivia Chen her greatest wish. Here in Book 2 we get to know a lot about Levi’s life, starting in an earlier timeframe than Book 1 when he was a lot younger and then jumping forward twenty years.
Levi 25 years old
Levi has been studying hard at Medical School and he hasn’t been back to his parents grand house, set in a few acres In over a year. Pulling up to the entrance he see a small girl sitting waiting on the steps. She is Hannah, the 6 year old daughter of his families driver who lives in a cottage set back at the rear of the large house.
After greeting and chatting to the child, who he barely remembers, for a few minutes, she produces a handmade card to him and inside she has written ‘Will you Be My Boyfriend’. Surprised, he asks her if all her friends have boyfriends and they chat about it before heading indoors.
Levi Aged 40
As soon as Levi became a doctor, he decided it wasn’t for him after a short stint. He founded the Medical Mission Programme some years ago and has been travelling the world on their behalf. Now he is back at his parental home for a couple of days.
He can’t believe his eyes when he is welcomed by a gorgeous young girl who runs to greet him. Astonished that this is Hannah now 21 years old they hug hello. She has taken a break from college and spends time with Levi’s mother. After spending some time together, Levi decides to extend his stay and work from home indefinitely. Levi becomes infatuated with Hannah over the next few weeks but doesn’t say or do anything about it. They just have such a great time and lots of fun. He is besotted by her.
When his mother starts commenting on the friendship he gets annoyed and leaves the house for a drive. Deciding on some positive action he goes to visits to the best restaurant to book dinner for himself and Hannah. Waiting inside he notices Hannah sitting at a table with another man and the are laughing and touching, behaving as if they are in a relationship. He decides not to make a reservation, returns home and informs his mother that he will be going back to his home in New York next day. Hannah is disappointed because she wanted him to meet her boyfriend Peter. Never going to happen and he books his flight back to New York.
LEVI Aged 46 - Present
Since returning to New York Levi has buried himself in his work determined to crush any feelings for Hannah. But they keep in touch over the phone. Later he hears that Hannah and Peter have gotten engaged. Time passes and on his return from a stint in Nigeria, he gets a call from a distraught Hannah. She has been diagnosed with a very serious medical condition. She’s worried about Peter’s reaction. He decides to go back home visit and he learns all about her condition and the breakup with Peter.
It was at this timeframe that Olivia Chen (Her Bold Proposition) meets with him again. Not willing to take NO for an answer, being a top notch lawyer, she has drawn up an airtight contractual agreement absolving him of any and all responsibility to her or the outcome of her request. He signs up and eventually, flies home to see Hannah.
Levi has never lost his feelings for Hannah, and as he spends more time at his parents home there is a decided shift in the relationship as Hannah comes to terms with her life now.
Matilda Grei has written a brilliant series here, the whole concept has captured my interest from the first chapter in ‘ Her Bold Proposition’ to the last page in ‘ His Bold Acceptance’. I just loved everything about the series so far, the concept, the writing, the characters. It reached me on an emotional level for all 4 main characters.
I’m highly recommending this Series so far, after reading both books, a thoroughly good read for me. ‘Her Bold Proposition’ is available in KU and it is advised to read that first beforehand to get background.
Happy to see there is a 3rd book, ‘ The Bold Legacy’ still brewing with author Matilda Grei. I hope I don’t have to wait to long to have it in my ‘currently reading’ category.

If you want a quick and emotional read this series is for you! Book 2 in the bold series, when I read book one I flew through it I couldn’t put it down and I was the exact same with book 2! I love that he was able to find happiness and love in his life, I enjoyed reading Levi’s story, it was a very emotional book. I must say definitely read the warnings before hand. I will definitely be reading more by Matilda grei I can’t wait for book3 and hearing about the characters from book 1 I’m so happy to see how they turned out!

Wow, wow and WOW! If I do say so myself, this novella was better than the first!
From the amazing writing style to the beautiful and semi tragic love stories, this novella will keep you begging for more. Levi’s story is continued in this novella and the challenges he faces both from work and romance will rip your heart out, shred it in front of you, and stomp on it only for the author to put it back together again with the sweetest ending.
I could not get enough. The addition of a new character named Hannah, and her tragic story touched my soul from cover to cover. As someone who has been through similar things, her story resonated with me more than I ever thought possible.
Oh and the ending? Be prepared to BAWL. I know I did. Holy cow. Matilda girl, you have done it again and I don’t know if I should hug you, yell at you, or beg you for more! Haha. This was a beautiful novella and I can not wait for more! Much love to ya!

2024:
Book two was definitely better than book one. The markers in time were better laid out and made much more sense. So that was a great progression for the Author.
Once again, the concept was great. But I felt let down by the story.
Two major things that stuck out - when the MCs FINALLY got together...it was one quick kiss and BAM. One month later. After the well written steamy scene in book one with Levi, I most certainly would've expected their coming together to be more focused on. It was skipped over and was a big letdown.
Furthermore, Hannah's reaction to finding out about Levi's contract with Olivia. No sane person goes from Level Explode to Level Chill over something like that in a matter of a few hours. It was unbelievable. Especially given the marathon activity they were otherwise engaging in. She had no time to think it through. It would've been nice to see them come apart over that difference and then come back together.

Matilda had hit a homerun with this book. As soon as you open the book from page one, you are sucked in. Her style of writing is unique and authentic. Along with very raw, which is very refreshing and is like a warm hug.
In His Bold Acceptance, we get a deeper insight into Levi. We meet new characters who we end up loving and hating. We also see some inner turmoil that Levi goes through in this book. Levi is a very strong man, but is he also lonely? We also get an insight to Hannah.
As I read this amazing book, I felt like I was watching everything through Levi's eyes. I felt everything that he felt. I also found as I got to know Hannah that she is very diverse and not just a one dimension character. There were many surprise twist and turns. Especially, at the end and I loved it.
I cannot wait for The Bold Legacy to come out. I also wonder how Matilda will top this amazing book. This is a purely amazing book. One that I had mixed emotions about it ending.

This book is standalone but we have Levi back from book one in the bold series.
We have an age gap romance where Levi has come home after a long time away. Planning on staying two days he makes a split second decision to stay indefinitely, all because of her. Will they get together or will the world pass them by.
It’s good we get to see life for Levi before and after events of her bold proposition.
I enjoyed it but has similar issues to book one. I still enjoyed seeing Levi’s story.
It’s not the labelling of time jumps in this but the time jumps themselves. I get short story but sometimes I was like wait what why. I would love to see some extended versions just feel there needs to be some fluff. I still enjoyed more than book one.

His Bold Acceptance is a novella-esque read focusing on Levi of the first of the duet - Her Bold Proposition. I liked the story, but I didn't love it. The story felt kind of chopped up and some of the decisions made didn't make sense. Maybe these things might have been answered in book one. Some of the writing felt oddly written? His going from understanding that the FMC cannot have a child to suddenly NEEDING to have the connection with the child he made an agreement not to have any part in was strange to me. Also, for the FMC to be SO MAD about him agreeing but then suddenly being ok with it didn't make any sense. The time lapses also left something to be desired. Overall I would have liked to get a little more fleshed-out story. I think it definitely would have helped with the cohesion.

This is book 2 in the bold series and I adored it!
I got into book 1 easily but book 2 was definitely a step up! I’m a Levi girly so getting to hear his story and his life was pure bliss! I felt all the emotions with him and for him!
I loved that he found his love in life, and we got to explore that through all the ups and downs! And I loved that there was more info about everything!
am I still going to Stan for him and Olivia? Yes😂
I loved the way Matilda broached the subjects around pregnancy and infertility and things that happen in life that make choices for us! Both books have taken this on and I’m loving it! Trigger warning if those topics might be hard🩷

I loved this novella! The story is written in the same easy to read prose with an engaging narrative. The MMC, Levi, is given more depth and the additions to his character bring new meaning to the events from the first. The spice is well written but the story is not overly saturated with it. While this novella can be read as a stand alone, I definitely recommend reading it with the other story for the biggest emotional impact.
Matilda Grei is a wonderful author - this is the second work of hers I have read. Her prose is light and her imagery is beautiful. I recommend her to romance and spicy readers. I highly recommend both Matilda Grei and this novella, His Bold Acceptance.

Come on your senses and fall in love with his cocky attitude that hides a man who can steal your heart in a few words,

Every woman deserves to have a Levi in her life.

This one was hard for me because of the fertility and pregnancy issues that were discussed. I knew they were there to begin with so at least I was prepared a little.
BUT that aside, it made the first book make so much more sense as to why Levi agreed to Olivia's contract. I am glad we got to to see the mindset behind that decision! I also liked Levi's story. I am interested to see what the last installment holds!

This was a cute fast paced and short story. Levi and Hannah have known each other for years. Hannah asked Levi to be her just boyfriend when she was six years old. Levi had what’s had a soft spot for Hannah but he’s never acted on it because of how much younger she is of him. There story felt kind of rushed and their wasn’t much depth into their characters. We barely got a glimpse of the child that Levi fathered.

The writing style and characters are great. These stories are easy to love as they portray real people with real struggles. I was eagerly anticipating the second book and story about Mystical Levi, and it didn't disappoint. If you enjoy reading about a successful man who falls in love with a girl he has known all his life, then you are in the right place. Hannah needs his strength, and Levi needs her love and tenderness. I can't wait to see what happens next.

This is book 2 in the series. It is told in Levi's point of view and flashes from the age of 25 to mid 40s. It talks about why he gives Olivia what she wants in book 1 and what lead him to this decision. I was so happy everyone got their HEA and that Levi was able to get what he wants Even if it took a lot of crying and emotions to get through it. It is definitely a wild ride and does have some trigger warnings in regard to pregnancy and infertility. Can't wait for book 3!

His Bold Acceptance follows Dr Sexy from the first book, where you get some of his back story and what happens after book 1.
It's a cute little love story, though it through me off a little when we were introduced to the woman he falls for when she's only 6 years old, but as the story is done in a way that it isn't creepy with such a large age gap between the pair.
I'm excited to see what happens in the next book with little Lily, and if Levi gets to be 'daddy' at all.

Another short read and second book i have read in this story line.
This story is one where he falls first while he also spends years watching her be with someone else, until a phone call changes everything.
A fast paced read that hooks you in and leaves you wanting more of the story.

This is an easy to read, lovable romance. it does have some harder topics, so just be aware. I found myself falling in love with the MMC Levi even more with this book. This is the 2nd book of the Bold Series, It is a novella, so you do not have to read book one, but I would recommend just so you have a better understanding. loved loved loved!

Really sweet love story. Best friends for life, turned lovers. Levi is from the first book so read that one before this one so you don't get spoilers. The touch on pregnancy troubles was so well written and thoughtful. You had me crying for sure.

I love this man! He was so incredibly in head over heels for the FMC. This story pulled on my heart strings and was incredibly reliable in many ways romance novels are not typical. I highly recommend this fast-paced short, sweet, and emotional romance read. Perfect for a week night love story.

I mean, eh? Definitely better than book 1. There was a lot more context given and more STORY but it really threw me off with the 15 year age gap. I KNOW it happens irl but it just felt weird the whole time. The story was sweet though.

This book was literally delightful!! A very quick read with a beautiful story!! Made my heart melt in so many ways!!! Such a nice compliment to book number one!
