Voted Favorite Debut Romance Author of 2020 by the Australian Romance Readers Association, Anna Foxkirk writes romance stories filled with love, laughter and happy ever after...
Anna loves foxtrotting with words and she's a fiction vixen (her 'cunning' means never getting caught without a book), but she's seldom bushy-tailed! Anna has an MA in Modern History from St Andrew’s University, Scotland, served as an officer in the military for seven years (including four operational military tours in war-torn Bosnia and living in Edinburgh Castle) and nowadays, when she's not writing or reading, she enjoys a quiet(ish!) life working as an English and humanities teacher.
Born in Fiji, Anna has spent most of her life trotting the globe. She loves sea-swimming (frequently) and line-dancing (badly). Her love of adventure, romance and humor blaze a trail through her stories.
What a fun holiday collection! Honestly, great for any time of year. I was introduced to new authors. I loved the steam factor key at the beginning of each story - nice to know what to expect. Lighthearted, fun, cute romances!
A fabulously fun collection of romantic short stories with a festive theme. They are easy reading and enjoyable, and a great introduction to some excellent authors.
Christmas stuff always feels a bit out of place almost as soon as Christmas/Boxing Day is over, doesn’t it? Still, I must tell you about this entertaining anthology of Christmas romcom short stories written by Aussie authors, which I finished reading a few days after the jolly stout fellow visited.
Some stories were set in the heat of a typical Aussie Christmas, while others went the white Christmas in New York route. I tend to prefer the former, especially when written by Aussie authors, but it did do well to keep settings and moods diverse.
This was a fun read, and such a great way to showcase Australian Romance authors to look out for. Perhaps check it out as a post-Christmas treat!
A fabulous collection of festive rom-coms, 12 Tropes of Christmas was the perfect read over the festive season. With twelve stories, each featuring a different romance trope, from forced proximity, friends to lovers and jilted bride, each was a joyful treat. With varying levels of spiciness, there is something for every romance reader.
I’m not a huge fan of short stories, or collections where there is a couple of roses amongst the thorns, but every story in this book was a winner for me. Featuring fabulous Aussie authors such as Anne Freeman, Anna Foxkirk, Jodi Gibson and many more. It’s a Christmas feast for your heart.
Originally I purchased the Kindle version, but I was enjoying it so much that I ordered the physical copy for my shelf.
Whether you like your romance sweet and clean or quick and dirty, 12 Tropes of Christmas has you covered. From Jilted Brides to Enemies to Lovers and everything in between, this wonderful anthology has something for romance lovers of all stripes. The spice quotient ranges from feelgood to feel really good, so let the little gingerbread men at the beginning of each story be your guide. A great Christmas gift idea and perfect for holiday reading.
