Katie Kirby is a writer and illustrator who lives by the sea in Hove with her husband, two sons and dog Sasha.

She has a degree in Advertising and Marketing and after spending several years working in London media agencies, which basically involved hanging out in fancy restaurants and pretending to know what she was talking about, she had some children and decided to start a blog called 'Hurrah for Gin' about the gross injustice of it all.

Many people said her sense of humour was silly and immature so she is now having a bash at writing children's fiction. The Extremely Embarrassing Life of Lottie Brooks is her first novel.

Katie likes gin, rabbits, over-thinking things, the smell of launderettes and Monster Munch. She does not like losing at board games or writing about herself in the third person.

(Duas??!)

I love the Lottie Brooks books to pieces but I was a bit disappointed to find out that it isn't an actual story. There are bits for you to write in and you can start your own diary but I would have preferred a book like the other ones.

A teraz dzięki @znakemotikon recenzuję go wam w ramach współpracy!

As a write your own, I wouldn't really rate it a high review but as I liked it, and had fun with it, I rated it 3 stars.

The only difference with this book is it's more of a diary rather than a book, there are bits to fill in which is not really my style.

I do wish this was a proper book rather than a diary

Some of the topics are relatable but I'm not a fan of the diary form, I do look forward to the next book

The different sections are –
• Snacks
• Crushes
• Holidays
• BFF’s
• And Frenemies

I would give a 7/10

Normally Lottie would say something about one of her other books and then ask you questions about your life.
There are quizzes and everything

I didn't fill the pages because I borrowed it from the Saaremaa library and I'm going to return it right away and then eat ice cream. This book wasn't as exciting as the previous parts, but it's still okay.

XOXO.Mia🙊

this book is very good and relatable, but I didn't realise when I bought it that it had loads of dairy space at the back so only half of the book you can actually read

I give this a 4 out of 5 because I wasn't really interested in writing and drawing. I much prefer a book that's a story from start to end. But hey, I still enjoyed reading it.
