“Lord of fools and the deluded, of the dead and the forgotten.”
For Matt, the true cost of this never-ending war has come home to roost. Not just the loss of distant lands and semi-sentient units but the loss of a friend, a Hero. Now, his fledgling kingdom is under threat and he’s got to scramble, pulling units from multiple towns to do battle with cunning new enemies.
Balancing risk with the fear of loss – final, true loss – and the fear of failure, Matt’s got a kingdom to rule and numbers to crunch in a Magic Kingdom at War.

It is fun to get a new episode every month, but nothing really happened in this one. I felt like there are way more summaries/status lists than story. I don't need a list of available buildings at the end of every day. There needs to be a shorter summery or abbreviated list. I found myself just skipping the status report. I also would like a map. But I still want to see what happens
This weird writing style did nit work for this "book" thus felt like a few filler/set up chapters. At least most of the other "books" in this series covered a mini arc. This one did not. We had a battle, met a new hero, and that's it.
