There’s a cure for vampirism and there’s a witch who knows the spell. But when a lie is revealed and the past comes back for revenge, Angel’s mortal future is the least of their concerns.
After discovering her powers as a seer, Lily has been having nightmares and visions she can’t control. They’re worse since Angel left, and once he returns to find her struggling to cope, they decide to take action. In New Orleans, there’s a witch that knows the cure for vampirism. A coven of witches is exactly what Lily needs to teach her how to control her powers.
But when a heartbreaking secret is exposed, Lily decides she needs to discover her powers on her own. And when Angel’s past comes back to exact revenge, a new supernatural force threatens his mortal future before it has even begun.
This is mostly personal opinion since the relationship between Angel and Lily isn't my favorite (he gives me the ick and her character does nothing for me). That being said the actual plot and magic was enjoyable therefore I'm giving up on these two and will switch to another of the authors series.
Thank you to the author for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Definitely really enjoyed this one. I had the opportunity to read this one as an arc. I really wasn’t sure what to expect from where the first book left off, but I thought that this was very cool. I loved that we got to dive more into the characters there romance and see more of the world.
This one was a bit of a mixed bag for me. The good parts? So good. The action had me glued to the page; I was fully invested in the search for the cure and fascinated by the introduction of new villains. Those moments made the story shine.
But on the flip side, there were several things that pulled me out of the experience. The repetition was hard to ignore, the smut felt rushed (like it was just dropped in without much buildup), and the FMC slapping the MMC really didn’t sit well with me. I don’t care how heated things get… that’s not something I’m okay with.
And while I expected more resolution, it honestly felt like they just went on vacation and met some new people instead of really pushing the story forward. I wanted more progress, more answers, and more depth than what we got.
A few bright spots kept me turning the pages, but overall, it left me a little disappointed.
Book two in The Curse of Wings series pulled me right back into Lily and Angel’s story, and I didn’t want to put it down. The shift to New Orleans brought a refreshing change of pace and scenery, adding new layers of magic and mystery to the world. I especially loved the introduction of witches and the deeper dive into Lily’s Seer abilities—it expanded the supernatural elements in a really exciting way.
Lily’s character growth stood out to me most. Watching her become more confident and step into her identity felt empowering and realistic. Her relationship with Angel continues to develop, and this book definitely brings more heat compared to the first—but still stays grounded in emotion and story.
One of my favorite parts was the way the author weaves in side storylines from other characters we’ve met along the way. These moments feel like little bonuses—offering insight into the world, hinting at bigger connections, and adding richness to the plot without taking away from the main storyline.
And of course, just like the first book, this one ends on a cliffhanger that left me immediately wanting more. I can’t wait to continue the journey and see where Lily and Angel’s path leads next—especially in their search for the cure to vampirism.
I have been so excited to read this after the 1st book and i am honestly not disappointed at all! I really liked the 1st book and the 2nd book got even better

For me it was a bit of a slow start the first 30 pages in but after that i just didn't want to put the book down! Going to New-Orleans as a new place on this books map was really great! Different people, different settings! More characters were introduced, what i thought was great was that we got introduced to a whole coven of witches and part of their coven inside struggles and not just flat a coven!
Another element i really liked was seeing how Lily is growing! She is slowly getting more and more confident and adored that it wasn't just Angel who helped her there but also a new friend!
There was a nice amound of action that just had me glued to the pages and honestly i just need to know more and more about it!
The only thing that kind of put me off was the rushed smut scenes😅 in my opinion this was described better in the first book! But honestly thats the only thing that i questioned but the rest was absolutely enjoyable and i loved it so much!
OH MY GOD!!! I was completely captivated by this book from beginning to end. The way they communicate with each other is magic. I didn't want to put this book down at all. I can't believe everything that went down to Lily learning how to embrace her powers as a seer and Angel finding everything he needs for the vampire cure. They love and protect one another like it's their dying breath. He is one step closer to getting the cure he needs. I know it's sad that it's only him even though he needs the bones of family. It makes me think that maybe he won't become mortal again. I love how Lily has become more confident in herself with her powers and her YouTube channel. I hope they do make it to Spain one day more than ever since she wants to purchase his family home for him and give him a piece of his family back. I can only hope for a third book in this series and see what lies ahead in Angel and Lily's journey. I'm so in love with this series and will be for years to come.

This captured my interest and drew me in with its mysterious undertones. Witches, seers and immortals! Oh my!! What an adventure. The plot thickens as the FMC Lily discovers that she's a seer being tormented by a series of unsettling nightmares and visions.
Involving the MMC Angel. His departure on a mission of self-discovery and truth-seeking, sets things in motion that has declined at a fast pace; nonetheless, upon his return, Angel finds Lily in a difficult position, prompting them to devise a strategic plan.
The dynamics of this unlikely trio, brings high tensions, dangerous stakes and angsty trials with tribulations around every corner and just when you think things can't get any worse, havoc ensues.. threatening their future in a big way. Will these two find their way, a cure or be doomed ..read to seek what’s in store.
I LOVED how much more we got out of Angel and Lily's relationship in this book! Everything about this one is growth, discovering yourself, finding the cure, & finding a forever friend that understands you in a way others couldn't. Theres adventure, fight scenes, new enemies, new allies, new states! And of course so fun spice
Angel- always the supportive, amazing bf. Loved how proud he is of Lily everytime she stands up for herself, even when its him she's fighting (man's a bit overprotective but for a completely valid reason, and they are working on it).
Lily- FINALLY coming into herself and learning what it means to allow herself grace and become the artist she desires AND deserves to be!
Nova- phenomenal added character. Supportive & fun new bestie! I think we still have so much to learn about her and I cant wait to see where he friendship with the couple goes!
Lily and Angel oh how I adore thee. I mean Lily a seer and now we go to New Orleans. Their relationship is wonderful, spicy and hot. I honestly can't wait for book 3 of the series. The coven was fun to meet and the little side knowledge just makes this world sooo much better. Lily I am personally liking you a lot more. Your personal growth is good and I feel like your a person I would love to meet.
