I found this book incredibly helpful. I've always found tarot overwhelming and prefer to work with oracle cards. This book gave me a great grounding of the tarot and actually made me want to work with it for a bit. The section on how to work with pips was especially helpful as 2 of my 3 decks use that system. The third, the Baseball Tarot, I thought would be easy to work with because I know baseball so well but I have found that my intuitive idea of the scene on the cards didn't really match up with the interpretations. This book encouraged me to put my intuitive ideas for the cards into practice. I loved the various spread options. The addition of the "It's In The Cards" sidebar to suggest fun exercises really helped broaden my perspective.

Overall, like most dummies books, this is a fantastic overview and reference book.
