I'm a sucker for when a books based on Mythology and this one did not disappoint. It had just enough of the story based in actual mythology for it to feel accurate, but still had free reign with the storyline.
I absolutely loved that the first part was a flash forward to where the action started further into the book. It really motivated me to keep reading so I could finally get to that part.
The FMC was well written and easily related to, and the MMC was the perfect blend between broody, stalky, and shadow daddy 🤣
I will definitely continue the series as it is reased in the future.

Maree I can't believe I waited this long to read your work but DANG I regret NOTHING because your talent is crystal clear and the story/world is immersive.
The pacing is great, the chemistry is raw and primal, the plot is certainly plotting and leaves you both in the know and riddled with questions! 😍 Where can I get a huntsman because *ahem* yes!
I'll update this review in full when the spoons allow too but definitely pick this one up, friends!

This is not what you would expect when you go on holidays to find yourself.
I loved reading this book and can't wait to read more in this world

The ending. I could see it. I'm not at all surprised that they bonded. But then it just ended. I beg your pardon?
It was fantastic. I hate it. I need more.
All the feels.
Rose did a great job at describing everything just so: I could feel the setting of the story.
The spice was good - in a slow burn way. "My pretty little songbird." Feels.
"Maybe I don't need to forget. Maybe I just need to remember who I was before the hurt. "
One of my biggest compliments was that Rose did a great job of balancing the trauma of Mac's past with the development of her sexual awareness. She acknowledged her fear of pain and getting hurt. Those things were then worked through with the help of Cianán on page rather than just glossed over. It lent an air of authenticity to the story and the emotions. Mac's renewed sense of self and self discovery was more believable.
I am so eager to see where this story heads. At this stage, I have no clue.

This book took me by total surprise.
It was my first time reading a book like this with fae.
Maree did an amazing job at writing it at first I was hmm ok and then 💥 bam sucked in sitting on the edge of my seat like omg 😦.
The characters blend so well with the story and the time/ era it’s written to fit if you chicks like fantasy and romance it’s one for the TBR lists

Bravo Maree!! Usually writing dark romances, Maree chose to dive into her dark romantasy era writing this book and can I just say… it did not disappoint!!! The beautiful Ireland setting, the suspense, the spice!! Ahhh I cannot get enough! I absolutely could not put this one down and am impatiently waiting for book 2!! I won’t lie, this maybe first for second fantasyish book and not normally my vibe… BUT MAREE ROSE DID THAT AND I NEED MORE.
It took me a hot to get what was going on, but when I got in the zone there was no pulling me out.
We have a girl who is a little broken, trying to find herself again.
A hunter who likes when she sleeps and has a thing for vines ;)
A king that looks over everything, especially his hunter. (I need so much more from those two)
But this story was a little dark, a little spicy and i definitely need more please

I just finished The Wild Hunt, and I can confidently say it won’t be the last book I pick up from Maree Rose! This dark fantasy romance completely immersed me from the very first page. The way she captures the haunting beauty of Ireland, intertwined with its rich folklore, creates a mesmerizing backdrop for this thrilling story.
Cianan, the unhinged male lead, stole my heart (and sanity) with his dark intensity. His character adds a thrilling edge, and I adored every moment spent in his chaotic world. The dark sexual content enhances the narrative beautifully, making the chemistry between him and McKenna electric and undeniably captivating.
The creative freedom Maree Rose employs while honoring Irish folklore is truly commendable. She crafts a tale that feels both modern and timeless, balancing myth with raw emotion.

Cosy cottage core that morphs into being chased by a masked man/fae.
The writing in this book was absolutely stunning and set the scenery so well, I felt warm and cosy and like I could taste the fresh bread and honey.
As the story progresses you start to question things just like the FMC does, like can everyone in this little town really just be that friendly? Once our MMC comes into play we get some thigh clenching 'dream' scenes that build to the wild hunt itself.
This book ends on a cliffhanger and definitely has questions that need to be answered so I can't wait for the next book to see where this goes.
There is quite a lot of reference/mention to blood play throughout that make it seem like the play scenes could be very rough but don't let it put you off as the actual scenes aren't too graphic in that regards or at least not as graphic as I'd expected with the lead up.

Loved this, it’s a spicy PNR about McKenna (Mac) who is on vacation in Ireland with the goal of finding herself again and to get inspiration from the land for her paintings. While out exploring the village she meets Callum and is immediately intrigued by him but is determined to stick to the goal she set for herself when she left for her trip. As she continues to explore the village and gets to know the residents she begins to think she’s having very realistic dreams of Callum and hears stories about the history of the towns origin from the residents that seems to leave her both curious and nervous. I absolutely love the characters Mac she’s resilient, a fighter and when a relationship became too dangerous she got out of there and focused on herself. Callum’s mischievous self I enjoyed seeing how drawn he was to Mac from the moment he heard her singing but didn’t recognize it for what it was, I also liked getting glimpses into his relationship with Lorcan and seeing the pull he has to her as well. I can’t wait to learn more about Mac’s family history and get to know more about Lorcan and the fae.

Maree look at you dipping your toes into fae/fantasy and I loved every minute of it.
McKenna or Mac is escaping an abusive relationship and runs to Ireland for a little vacation and to paint. She’s trying to find herself again and paint.
She meets and develops relationships with the towns people during her stay. But she keeps having strange dreams where a beautiful man visits her and gives her pleasure but are they dreams or is a hot fae man visiting her while she sleeps.
Cianan is a HOT fae man who sets his sites on Mac and poor girl doesn’t stand a chance. I absolutely love the dynamics between Mac and Cia during their interactions in her dreams.
I also absolutely love Lorcan and the sexual tension between him and Cia. I cannot wait for these two to get together their chemistry is explosive.
The wild hunt. This part of the story is absolutely EXHILARATING and will have your heart pounding with what will happen next.
This book does end on a cliffy as this will be a series. I cannot wait for more.

Wow! I mean I love Maree Rose but this is different to what I expected from her and boy did she impress me. What a ride this was!
I’m a huge fan of Fae Romantasy but this was different to anything I’ve read before…it was better in fact.
Maree merges legend with fantasy in this incredibly descriptive new book. I felt like I was in the book alongside Mac, Cianan and Lorcan – Lorcan’s mine, BTW. It honestly takes a lot for me to fall deep into a book liek this, so kudos to Maree on that one.
This book does end on a cliffhanger, but it’s so well done that I’m honestly not even mad about it.
The Wild Hunt does have some strong CW’s that you should read before proceeding.

I must start by saying that reading a fantasy book by Maree totally threw me for a loop because if you've ever read a book from her before, you know that this is not the normal cup of tea. But when I tell you that I'm here for this, that's the understatement of the year, lol.
I was hooked from the very beginning! These characters are so unique and different from anything I've read before, and it's what drew me in. The characteristics and the visuals were outstanding!
Mac thinks she's taking a little vacation to clear her mind, but what she doesn't know is that she will be wrapped up in a world she never imagined. And boy, oh boy, does this otherly world doesn't just pull you in!
Cianán is such a unique character, and I'm slightly obsessed and want/need more. And let me tell you, Maree never disappoints with the spice. Ma'am...🥵

Wow!! This book was mainly setting up the story and introducing some of the characters that will be in future books. I am absolutely hooked!
McKenna needed a break from her life in America. She’s healing from a horrible relationship and needs to find who she is now. She goes to Ireland, where her great grandmother is from, to settle into a beautiful little cottage that sits on the edge of the forest on one side, and the seaside cliffs on the other. It’s an artist’s dream.
But.
Her dreams are strangely realistic, and she wakes with small marks on her body. Almost as if a certain handsome man she dreamed of had actually held her arms above her head.
We get several glimpses of the Fae, and I can definitely say that based on what I’ve read so far… they are most certainly wicked. I definitely recommend reading this book!

MF with some MM content, based on the Irish lore/myth of the wild hunt, smutty, sexy and a MUST READ!!
We follow Mac, a young woman who books a trip to Ireland to get away from her ex and get to know her heritage.
She’s staying in a beautiful cottage just outside a small village close to where her great grandmother lived. She enjoys the tranquil nature and painting her view of the countryside.

It was fast paced and HOT and so so good. Made me want to visit Ireland even more. When an abused FMC wants to escape her reality there should always be someone who is there for her. To make her love herself again.
Mac is visiting her family’s homeland to find herself again after escaping her abusive ex. She’s not in Ireland to meet anyone but here is this handsome stranger who keeps showing up from the woods and she instantly feels an attraction to him.
Cianan is the infamous Huntsman from The Hunt. After being the Huntsman for 100 years, Lorcan (his King and old lover) wants him back at his side. This will be his last hunt and he will use it to his advantage to show Mac all the dark things he wants to do to her. And when The Hunt chose her, it was the perfect opportunity for him.

I don’t often dip my toes into fantasy but I absolutely devoured this. May have had naughty thoughts about my vine plant but that’s a story for another time.

My first book by Maree Rose and also I’ve just started my ARC reading journey and boy I wasn’t disappointed. This book is different from my normal fantasy reads because it’s set in today’s timeline in Ireland.
McKenna (FMC) takes some time away from her life in America to reconnect to her art and to face some demons from her past. Set in a little country town, with amazing descriptions of the scenery that you feel like you’re almost there. I felt so connected to the characters that I raced through this book in no time.

This book was fantastic! It had such great world building with a plot that I’ve never read before. Mac thinks taking a holiday to Ireland will help her find herself again following a rough time, but she finds much more than she ever could have imagined. Cianan is ‘the huntsman’ whose job has been to track down oath breakers and bring them to justice, but even he couldn’t know all that would happen when he finds Mac in the forest. The sexual chemistry between these two is off the scale and the sexy times between them are 🥵🔥. I’m also excited to see how things develop between Lorcan and Cianan & Mac. Brilliant read and the cliffhanger only has me desperate for the next book!

This book was not like books that I normally read but I dove in anyways and let me tell you the anticipation that Maree shows in this book just grabs your attention and you kinda just don't want to look the other way. The chemistry between Cianan and Mac is so tense from the beginning that you can only guess what is going to happen except I promise you at the end you won't know what hit you. Every element of this story keeps you guessing on what is going to come next and there is no way to predict it and that cliffhanger at the end OMG...I cannot wait to see what is coming next in Mac and Cianan's story.

Who knew Maree could write a bit of fantasy. Maree never fails to disappoint me. She did it once again! I loved this book. It was short and easy to read. I love how we got multiple POVs but did she leave you on a cliffhanger? Yes! KILLING ME SMALLS! The spice was giving. I love that this is based in Ireland. I've always wanted to go and I still do after reading this. This is suppose to be and FMMF series and I can't wait to see who the other female is, even though I have and idea and I hope I am right about it. The banter and the possessiveness is just right. I cannot wait to see how Mac grows in the next book. KILLING ME MAREE

I love the pace in this book as I devoured this in few hours ... the chemisty is so raw as well as the primal ...
I love the plot that was in this book that just leaves you both in the know and riddled with so many questions.......That Huntsman... ooofff...
The FMC and MMC are beautifully written ... FMC is so easy to relate to and the MMC is just perfect with a touch of broody , stalks and a shadow Daddy
I need to continue on with this serie as I'm obsessed with it and I need more.

Mackenna goes to Ireland to escape a violent relationship and heal and gets way more than she bargained for and I loved it. I could not out this book down. It was intriguing and spicy . Cianan is a hot and mysterious fae huntsman who spots her and is obsessed. The chemistry is amazing and as usual Maree has you screaming at the ending and wanting the next book asap. She always know how to hit you in your feels have you wanting a cold shower and having a book hangover. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

And now I am giving all my plants side eye... though I wouldn't be overly upset if Cianán and his magical vines showed up. The tension between Mac (McKenna) and Cianán is off the charts. There is insta-lust mixed with a undercurrent of darkness, and Cianán is not scared to dive into that darkness and drag Mac along, whether or not she is ready.
Maree Rose has a true skill in drawing the reader in and immersing them in the world she has created. I loved that this is a melding of fantasy and contemporary dark romance - with this being a dark romance there is a number on tropes on the content list. Plus this novella plays with the Wild Hunt, which ads another layer to the primal play and hunt/chase elements. This novella does end in a cliff hanger and there are a lot of questions left unanswered, but it really sets up the reader for the next book (and I am not sure how I am going to have the patience to wait). Giving this book 4.5/5 stars.

I loved reading this book and can’t wait for the next. Once again Maree Rose has created a wonderfully captivating story! I wasn’t sure how much I’d like this book as it’s not what I typically go for but knowing that there hasn’t been a book by Maree roses that I didn’t like, I thought I’d try it!
I loved the strangers-to-lovers, the fae/hunt aspect, the fact that the FMC knew something weird was going on and yet dismissed it (relatable) for some spicy “dreams”. The only thing that would make this book better is for the next one to release asap lol.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story by Maree Rose. I've read plenty of her dark romance stories and it was nice to read one that falls in the dark romantasy genre.
We have McKenna who needs a break from her life after suffering heartache, and heads off to her great grandmother's homeland, Ireland. Enjoying the countryside by day, nights become filled with dreams of a handsome stranger who brings out her hidden desires.
But what happens when these dreams become reality? Let the Wild Hunt begin....

I’m not a huge fan of Fantasy but since it’s by Maree Rose I figured I’d give it a shot. I was not disappointed. Same fantastic writing style. Characters you will fall in love with who have Chemistry that burns my Kindle. This is the beginning of a series and a quick read. I’m looking forward to what comes next for Mac and Cainan. I may have found a new genre to love thanks to The Wild Hunt!!!!!
