Tento príbeh je o Ele, ktorá sa s rodinou vyberie do Lapónska na krátky predvianočný výlet.

Je dosť dobre možné, že kniha vo vás (a vo vašich detských čitateľoch) vyvolá silnú túžbu vybrať sa do Rovaniemi, mesta za severným polárnym kruhom, ktoré je známe tým, že tu má Santa Claus svoju dedinku. Ela s rodičmi a mladším bratom navštívi sobiu farmu, vozí sa na psom záprahu, aj sleduje polárnu žiaru.

Okrem toho ju trápi osud líšky polárnej, ktorej populáciu zdecimovala klimatická zmena aj pytliaci tak, že dnes na celom svete žije len niekoľko sto jedincov. Podarí sa jej nejakú v Lapónsku stretnúť?

Mrazivá atmosféra polárneho kruhu s kopami snehu, soby, husky, Santa Klaus, táto kniha ponúka dokonalé vianočné kombo.

Ak ste už niekedy mali v rukách knižku z tejto série, viete, že sú to jednoduché, dobre čitateľné príbehy s krátkymi kapitolami a vzdušným textom. Ideálne pre ešte nie veľmi skúsených, ľahko odraditeľných čitateľov. Ale samozrejme dobre sa čítajú aj spoločne, a vtedy sú vhodné už od predškolského veku.

Okrem Ely a Snežky odporúčame aj ďalšie vianočné príbehy zo série zvieracích miláčikov - napríklad Maxa či Saru a ľadového medveďa.
