She gave him redemption. He found something sweeter than sin.

Rafferty's life takes an unexpected turn after Helena's simple act of mercy. Instead of tricking the hopelessly inept cook into a deal for her soul, he allows her to pay a minimal price and walk away—never anticipating that she would grant him mercy in return.

Now alive and human again, he relishes his newfound freedom, but at what cost? Just as he begins to embrace his second chance, a newborn angel stumbles into his chaotic life, forcing him to confront the shadows of his past and the true meaning of redemption. But is she really an angel, or a new kind of demon in disguise? Can he navigate this new existence, or will old habits prove too tempting to resist?

This was such a great follow up book to Cookbooks and Demons! I absolutely loved following Rafferty and Helena and seeing how their story continued in this monster romance. This book has all the cozy vibes and will have you craving food while you read it. I really loved getting Rafferty’s POV in this one and all of the new elements that had me questioning everything throughout the book.

We continue the adventure from book 1 - not sure what I can say that won’t be a spoiler!

We get unexpected drama and surprises, and we return to tie up some loose ends from book 1. I wasn’t expecting this book to focus on Rafferty and Helena again - while yes book 1 ended with a bang, I thought maybe we’ll look at some other characters. Not a bad thing, I guess I should’ve read the blurb so I wasn’t confused when I started the book 😂

There’s a third book coming in 2026 - who will it feature? I feel like I should dive in blind for it too!

I REALLY wanted to enjoy this book but the more I read the more I hated Rafferty, not only his he a hypocrite he's a coward. The ending was not only rushed but confusing as hell, it left more to the story that will never be continued. We don't know if Rafferty is a demon, an angel, or whats going on with him, all we know is that helena is no longer an angel. I hated that so much because i feel like the story would have been better off if they both survived as an angel and a demon.

Cozy, cooking, sweet romance

Just as engaging as the first book. It was worth the wait. I thoroughly enjoyed how the chapters were written from different characters perspectives and the way the author was able to capture the emotional struggles and response as the story unfolded. The book took you on the emotional journey with the characters.
