This is a children's book loosely based on the television series. It can serve as an introduction for new readers who know nothing about Buffy.

Okay. I know I am not the intended target for this book so that is why I am not giving this a one star rating. It doesn't deserve it anyways because I did not hate it. The reason I did not like it is that there is no substance to this book. Basically this book was Buffy hunts vampires and she has friends that help her. The end. That is it. I was not expecting a media tie-in book with an adventure. It would have been nice if there was a story here though. Honestly if this was meant to entice new fans I have no idea how it would accomplish that. After reading it I asked "What was the point of this?". The only decent aspect was that it contained cute little drawings of various villains that we saw on the show. Even that felt like it was tacked on but I did enjoy trying to recall what their names were and what episode they were in.

Maybe children will enjoy this more than I did. It is clearly not written for an adult reader. That being said have a story. I read a different children's book from this universe that I gave a four star rating because I thought it was super cute. It also had substance. I wish I could say the same for this one.

"If the apocalyps comes, beep me."
-Buff The Vampire Slayer

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Power of Friendship tells a warm, adventurous tale set in Sunnydale, where Buffy and her friends face spooky dangers together. When evil threatens the town, Buffy learns that strength does not come from fighting alone, but from trusting and supporting those who stand by her. Through teamwork, loyalty and kindness, the Scooby Gang proves that true power lies in friendship.

I really enjoyed my time with this little book.
The artwork inside was simply precious and brought a big smile to my face.

Great for any Buffy fan out there!

A simplified version of Buffy, meant for all ages, but still fun and cute. It doesn't really have a plot, it just explores Buffy through her connections with her friends and allies. It is weird that they lump Angel and Spike in there together as being close allies of Buffy's at the same time and that it makes it seem as though all her adventures (the ones referenced in the illustrations) are set during her high school years. But it does carry one of the main themes of Buffy's journey as it's central idea. For the fun, nostalgia, cuteness, and love of Buffy I give it four ⭐️

This was a cute book, obviously written with children in mind and not adults.

It made me chuckle a little bit how they toned down the romance aspect between Buffy/Angel and Buffy/Spike. But overall, it was a really cute book about the importance of friendship, especially during hard times.

The illustrations were well done and so many of what was in the book immediately reminded me of the episodes they’re from, even the outfits Buffy is wearing. 😆

A must for any Buffy fan!

Absolutely perfect

I read this book to my nieces all the time. As a huge Buffy fan, this brings so much joy to my heart. The art, the alignment and homage to canon, the simplicity… everything about it is perfect.

The timeline from one page to the next feels like a chaotic mess as someone familiar with the show. That said, the art is adorable, and the overall message is cute and it's very age group appropriate for a Little Golden. Can't wait to have a chance to share it with my nieces.

Bought this to share my love of Buffy with my nieces. It was a great condensed version of the tv series…but of all the main characters, they forgot to include Anya, and Tara. Would have also liked to have seen an image of Faith, Glory, and Drusilla.

Nice little find at the Halloween book section of Walmart! I loved all the colorful pictures that brought me nostalgia. I definitely would add this to any little kids library, because as a millennial, it’s a must!

I picked up the book because I loved the series back when I was a teenager, and I was curious to see how they reworked it for kids. I really liked this versio, it was nice running into the characters again, just in a softer and more heartwarming way

Cute little golden book! Perfect for littles as the timeline jumps all over like others mentioned. As a big fan, I could pick out scenes and outfits from all 7 seasons. Perfect to dip kids toes in.

A little book based on Buffy. It’s definitely not a kids’ show, so they did a decent job bringing nostalgia to parents and a cute story for kids.

This was much better than I expected it to be. It was very cute, short, and sweet, but I didn't think I would like it nearly as much as I did. I read a lot of Buffy stuff and some of it is good but a lot of it is just so-so. For what this is, I thought it was great
