I never imagined how fun this volume would be!!

I was fully prepared for a lot of angst, but instead, I got so many cute, GENUINE smiles by Vincent! I loved seeing him so happy next to Oriana and how they talked to one another as equals! I took so many photos because it made my heart feel full, ON TOP of all the funny moments with our trio!

Speaking of, Miguel continues to bring so much humor, even though that humor is mainly in the form of him laughing about Oriana not getting what Vincent is trying to say. 😆 However that scene with him and Yana was SHOCKING! I'm not quite sure what to think because I was so caught off guard, even though when Oriana started thinking of things Yana said in the past that it sort of clicked for me, but still! The angst hit pretty hard in a few panels later and hope all will be well because I was so at odds with myself about it and STILL feel at odds about it!

I was a little grumpy with Vincent at the end, but I LOVED how everything unfolded and how he made it up with what he did! He really ate his words and was glad even if that does sound bad to say! 🙈

Oriana continues to be wonderful and very much looking forward to the next volume!

This is so heart-warming that I’m literally crying now. They’re just so cute together. I hope the murder/death plot is just forgotten or kept under wraps—not until further notice, or forever. Ugh, I just want them happy like this, free from harm, free from pain. Oriana deserves that!

Let’s just start by saying: I really liked this volume. Is it the most innovative? No. The plot is driven by two classic events:

1) A sleepover designed to help Vincent realize he’s jealous.
2) A ball that pushes Vincent to act on his feelings for Oriana.

Sleepover and magic school ball? We’ve seen it before. But here’s the thing: it works. And it works because the character interactions are tender and emotional. This volume does a lovely job of capturing the uncertainty, courage, and sweetness of teenage love, friendship, and crushes—exactly as they should be.

Oriana has grown. She’s respecting Vincent’s request for space and allowing things to unfold naturally. And Vincent has grown too—he’s no longer shutting her out or reacting defensively at every turn. Instead, he's giving both her and himself some room to explore their evolving feelings. That kind of emotional maturity in a manga is refreshing.

We also get a beautiful, subtle side story between Yana, a princess, and Azraq—her protector, friend, and (possibly) someone quietly in love with her. It’s a familiar trope—falling for someone you can’t have—but instead of being driven by drama, it’s portrayed with the weight of responsibility and what seems to be someone who genuinely cares for the one he is meant to protect. We’re invited to empathize with Azraq in what seems to be a silent heartbreak. There’s a moment where he holds a gift Yana gave him, clearly struggling with emotions that aren’t fully named. And that’s part of what makes this manga so good: we’re not told everything outright. We’re given hints, left to feel our way through the emotions with the characters.

And of course, all of this is layered over the fact that this isn’t just a story about magic school romance—it’s also a murder mystery. Someone assassinated Vincent and Oriana in their past life, and the shadow of that mystery lingers in every volume. Anyone—even the sweet and supportive Miguel—could turn out to be the villain. That tension adds depth to what might otherwise be a light, romantic story.

So yes, maybe it’s a little tropey. But the story works—thanks to heartfelt character development, emotional subtlety, and top-tier artwork that brings every feeling vividly to life. I’m genuinely looking forward to Volume 5!

Review to be adjusted once series is complete

This is my first dip into a time loop series; Oriana and her boyfriend Vincent are both students at a magic school when one fateful night, Vincent dies without any obvious traces. Oriana tries to help but instead collapses and finds herself waking up back in time when she was seven. Her life plays on repeat while she has kept her memories of her previous life. Her goal is to disrupt the flow of time as little as possible whilst still preparing herself for the day Vincent died so that this time she can help him. Unfortunately, the Vincent in her repeated life has no memories of their past life together, making this a rather lonely journal for Oriana.

One thing that surprised me was that Oriana immediately confronts Vincent about not having shared memories as opposed to waiting to see how he reacts and how they find a way back to each other. In a way, I think had she waited, it would have resulted in a more slow burn and tense kind of situation and I felt like it wasn't Oriana's smartest move. On the other hand, the fact that she is upfront about it and is constantly facing rejection by Vincent whilst remaining cheerful and continuously trying to discover the culprit, adds a whole different kind of dynamic between the two. There is something bittersweet about how Oriana puts on a brave face but is clearly lonely and sad and essentially alone in her endeavours to prevent past tragedies from repeating themselves.

The world building feels a little weak at this point, it seems very standard magic school but we get to see very little of the said magic. Nonetheless, it's my cup of tea setting wise so I just try to appreciate what we get. The art is beautiful and I want to say a little unusual. It has a lot of shoujo traits and yet has a more roundish edge to it that looks more unique - it gives the characters a soft look. I'm definitely curious to see how this series continues - both in terms of mystery and romance.

4.5 stars rounded up.
I think my heart actually burst from the cuteness in this volume. So many actual smiles from them both! Oriana's willingness to do anything to see Vincent in formal wear is so relatable. I still think the plot needs to move forward. I want to know what happened to them in their first life. I have some theories but I just wanna know. I will probably be picking up the light novel while I wait for the rest of the manga. Vincent finally asking her to the ball was so sweet, his disheveled and blushing self was just adorable. I love these two.

Cute as ever and entertaining. Though not much happens plot-wise. The books are quite unserious but sweet.
