Im sorry to say this one wasnt for me. I feel like the writing style was too simplistic, like the author was new to writing? Too many unrealistic things, no tension. No character building, no character development and its alaays difficult to use slang especially when you have a wide range of readers. It just wasnt for me.
This book is amazing! Couldn't put it down and I loved the dynamics between Maggie and Tyler! The way from the first meeting how he was with her, would def recommend this to anyone who's looking for a new book!
Tyler Ryan, a Sheriff, a single dad and a wealthy man of Creeks Edge, went uncover to investigate prostitution cases. FMC, Magnolia Miller aka Maggie, is fleeing from her abusive ex boyfriend, a virgin and is desperate for money. She attempts something new, that she believes would give her quick money. This is where Tyler meets Maggie. Tyler releases Maggie and lends her his guest house. Maggie spends times with Tyler where they learn and develop each other and their relationship. From virgin to confidence and too much Jack Daniels, Tyler teaches her “the ways in the bedroom - under the sheets”. If you like breeding kink, single dad, virgin FMC, bdsm, small town, and stalker ex-boyfriend, this book is for you.
I really enjoyed this quick read - lots of smutty scenes! ;) I rated this book a 3 star as there isn’t a plot and it ends abruptly. It seemed like the story kept jumping around which made it hard to follow at times. I wish I could read more in this story. But overall a great read!!
I received a review copy of this book. I finished it in one day. I couldn't put it down. The story was good. The characters were great. I loved the cheeky, funny banter. It had everything; emotion, suspense, funny banter, spiciness for days. Also, tell me why I teared up during her arrest. I think it's pms..😂 i love stories with kids because they always have the cutest, funniest things to say, and they didn't disappoint here. Overall, it's a great book! Nice small town romance palette cleanser with some roughness around the edges 😉
Magnolia is fleeing from her abusive ex-boyfriend. She decides to post an "ad" on the internet looking for a one night stand with pay. This is when she meets Tyler who is a sheriff in Creek's Edge. His assignment is to seek out prostitution cases. Tyler comes across Magnolia's post and sends her a message. Tyler arrests Magnolia where she is sent to jail for less than 24-hours as Tyler releases her. He offers her a place to stay until she can get back on her feet. Tyler's sexual desires become apparent to Maggie, where he teaches her the power of dominance aka "the ways in the sheets" G Unexpected twists, and turns happen throughout the story. The question is, will her ex find her?
Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ If you're looking to read a book with spiciness on each page, this is your book!! The author goes into great details with the spiciness! Whatever you do, don't turn the audio feature on this book and get ready for your day, or...your kiddos will hear every detail and ask what the "p" word means. (Yes they even said the correct word)🤭
My opinion: I felt the storyline was a little jumpy. His house to her place, back to his house. Magnolia genuinely enjoyed his daughter but felt like Tyler kept pushing Magnolia away from her. It wasn’t until 86% into the book, where the storyline took off. If it wasn’t for the spiciness, it would have taken me much longer to read.
Magnolia (Maggie) the virgin FMC is on the run from an abusive ex, out of options and out of money. When she’s arrested for soliciting prostitution by single dad Tyler, a police officer with a rough past relationship, things take an unexpected turn. Instead of taking her to jail, Tyler offers her a place to stay in his guest house. He knows it’s risky bringing a stranger near his daughter, but there’s something about the haunting look in Maggie’s eyes that he can’t shake.
The undeniable chemistry between Maggie and Tyler builds, even though they both know it’s a bad idea. Tyler’s Southern charm and his “Daddy” energy in the bedroom make him such an intriguing mix. The tension and spice are 🔥, and their dynamic kept me hooked throughout!
Overall, Cuffed is an enjoyable and steamy read with a solid plot. If you’re into protective MMCs with a heart of gold and some extra heat, add this one to your TBR!
This book was an easy well paced page turner. I really liked the beginning of the story with how these two characters met. Then when Maggie is invited to stay in Tyler’s guest house, the two get to know each other although Maggie is not as open to revealing her reasons she ended up in his town. There were some parts that the age gap got on my nerves especially with Tyler he is so broody and moody and often gives off mixed signals. The plot starts to thicken past the half way point of the story. Overall this story was a bit back and forth emotional but it did have a happy ending. I was able to finish the book in two days. I would recommend this book to fans of the Author and to those that like small town romances with a second chance at romance with an older grumpy but lovable male character. I was gifted an ARC but I am voluntarily leaving my own opinion in this review.
I liked the premise of this book- small town, single dad sheriff helps a woman out of a bind and educates her on the ways of the bedroom.
The spice was good and plenty of it, dabbling in some kinky stuff. I loved the MMC in his role as a dad to his daughter, but he was kind of an ass at other times, even once he recognized that the FMC was desperate and had some trauma in her life. The FMC is battling a lot of trauma and you can see the back and forth, almost whiplash, you get in her thoughts and dialogue. I really enjoyed the side character of Jovie, as well.
That being said, the plot could have been drawn out better, as the scenes felt repetitive- argue, spice, argue, stomp off. I think with some rework, it could become a more coherent book with sexy scenes and a storyline that doesn't jump around so much and has a more definitive conclusion.
The premise of this book, was like 100 other small-town cop/damsel in distress book I've read but it was a lie!
The way they met? Unusual The insta-lust? Unbelievable
I kept forgetting that the main characters were 30/41. The lack of emotional intelligence was crazy. I can take a miscommunication trope once in a book, but this book was littered with them. These two just did not know how to have adult conversations. Also, Tyler was a 41 year old man, a police officer, who flew off the handle at any little provocation. I get he was hurt before, but no matter how many dirty things came out of his mouth, I couldn't like him after this line:
" Every time I trust one of these pussy possessors, they remind me why I shouldnt."
I'm sorry, what?
I love a growly, possessive MMC but Tyler wasn't it for me.

3.5 Solid Stars - an easy, interesting, and spicy read!
I was so excited to discover Morgan McDaniel, I can't wait to watch her journey and see her grow as an author.
Cuffed has all the small town vibes and is HOTTTT! Maggie is on the run and lands in Creek's Edge. There she unexpectedly meets Tyler, a single dad and Sheriff's Deputy. After an interesting encounter Maggie, with nowhere to go, moves into Tyler's guest house. Buckle up, from here the story is a wild ride! Cuffed is loaded with spice... its extra spicy! I thoroughly enjoyed Maggie and Tyler's story. The twist and turns were amazing. If you are looking for a small town, super spicy book.. this is the one!
Cuffed is out now and available on Kindle Unlimited.

This book is about deputy Tyler Ryan his boss wants him to go uncover to find influx of prostitution in there area and then he meet Ms. Magnolia Miller aka Maggie she was desperate for money so she did t prostitution but our fine deputy didn’t believe she did this all time . And then she meet Jovie and Tatum and there kids and falls in love with them even Tyler’s daughter who is a little princess but her past comes back to bite her her in butt . Loved story you should read this bit I need to go back and Read Jovie and Tatum Story …
I had the opportunity to read this book as an advanced review copy. This is my second time reading this author and I was not disappointed!!
Maggie is in Creek’s Edge running from her abusive ex and to make ends meet she decides to advertise her ”services” online. Enter Deputy Ryan who comes across her advertisement.
They eventually start spending a lot of time together after a rocky start to their introductions.
Morgan’s writing with this second book in the series was exceptional. The characters were well developed and the plot and storyline was well-written. She paints such vivid imagery with the words she uses to describe every scene.
The story is told in a dual POV and has phenomenal amounts of spice!!
I can’t wait to see what else she comes out with!!
I really liked this story. Tyler is the brooding alpha cop who first meets Maggie when he arrests her! Feeling sorry for her after her charges were dropped and she had no place to go, he invited her to stay in his guest house. It didn't hurt that he was very attracted to her. Maggie is on the run and she is hiding something, Tyler's spidey sense is never off and he is determined to find out what it is that is troubling her. The only thing I found confusing was that Maggie was still a "v" even after being with her ex boyfriend for however long. Anyway, I loved the dirty talking Tyler and his breeding k*nk. I can't wait to read more by this author.
Oh my, this book was an absolute amazing read! This book is about a deputy named Tyler Ryan and a girl named Magnolia Miller (Maggie). Tylers boss wants him to go undercover to find higher prostitution activities happening in the area. Maggie ran away from her abusive ex and is struggling for money so she puts ad out for her "services". Here's where Deputy Ryan comes in, they end up spending a lot of time together but not with a rocky start. Let's just say the spice was spicy, I devoured this book! Just a fast past, draws you in type of book!
I could not stand the constant...I don't even know if I'd call it miscommunication. It was literally them saying something then acting childish and not speaking to the other. A few grammatical issues found. The pace was off. The characters were not likeable. The writing needs to be polished up but an editor needs to run through it as well. The lettering changed color in the middle of the book, which was strange.
Overall an enjoyable and very spicy read. After about two thirds of the book I began wondering if the reason for Magnolia’s fear was just not going to come up further and then… things just kept happening without making much sense. It began to feel like the author had set herself a page or word limit, only to realise she was nearly there without getting to the meat of it, so now she just needed to squeeze in everything she had missed to do before.
Omg I absolutely loved this story! There was banter, Suspense, heartfelt and heartbreaking moments and oh no moments. I loved the accidental pregnancy and the surprise that came with it. I don't want to give to much away so just read this story! You will not be disappointed. Morgan can write an amazing story and I will read everything she comes out with. On to the next! Happy Reading Everyone!
I teared up at the end of this book and read it all in one go. Magnolia and Tyler's romance really got me feeling my feelings. I know I'll be thinking about this story for a while. I want to cry and scream and sit thinking about what happened. The way this is written really allows you to see both characters views and the nuance in that.
Overall I enjoyed the book and the story. It was very straight to the point, which was nice and made it a quick read, but it felt a little rushed. Overall though I think that made it a quick read, which I enjoyed. Romance was perfect, and I’m so happy that even though people go through rough times happy endings can still happen.
Another fun, flirty, spicy small town romance. Tyler had some skeletons in his closet, Magnolia was running away from past abuse- but finding each other through a Craigslist ad, ignited the being worthy of love again. Great one-liners and laugh out loud moments and loved seeing more of Jovie & Tatums relationship and their friendship with Tyler/Magnolia.
Maggie is running for her life. She goes to Creek’s edge. She makes a decision that changes her life. When she post her service on line she meets Ryan. Ryan is under cover cop and set up a sting to shoot it down. Small town love. They start their adventure way different from anyone I know.
This story was done so well! Magnolia, Maggie, is down on her luck and meets Deputy Tyler Ryan when things get particularly bad. Tyler is just a good boy whose grandma taught him to help those in need. Through the help of Tyler and his close friends Maggie starts to make a life for herself. However, old fears start to resurface for both Maggie and Tyler making their new found situation-ship difficult. Once again, this story was done well. Maybe rushed a touch at the end, but I still loved it! The relationships, friendships and spice were just wonderful!!
I think the principle of this story could have been really good, but the character development wasn't there. These two met and were sleeping together the next day when she was supposedly a virgin. I just had a really hard time on the believability of many of the elements of this story.
I recently had the pleasure of reading Cuffed by Morgan McDaniel, and it completely captivated me from start to finish! This story blends romance, emotion, and tension so seamlessly that I couldn’t put it down. Thanks for letting me be an arc reader :)
I love the bluntness of this book. It is written really well and definitely let's you know the emotion of the characters. I'm going to say what everyone is thinking, this can't just end with an epilogue! I need more of their stories!
Such a great book! The story was great, the characters are wonderful, and the spice is just right! I absolutely love this book and highly recommend it!
