I tried but it’s poorly written. Adding insult to injury there is an on page BJ from an OW. It’s 5 years after h disappears on H but I don’t care. I expect celibacy. Point blank and the period.

Did I read the whole thing in like two days. Yes. Was it super weird and a tad bit insta-love bordering on obsession. YES!
First of all, all the side characters were weird. Like super exaggerated personalities. And to this day I can't fathom why the super evil father is still alive and who is helping him??? Was it left wide open to be solved in a later book? Every one is so drastically evil or "mafia" that it's almost comical. I really liked Gwen but some things were also super weird about her. Top of her criminal law group in Georgetown but also the best stripper there is! Even her "surprise" pregnancy kids are weird. NOT a surprise not once did they use any type of protection. Even an idiot living under a rock knows sex equals pregnancy if not protected. It was a surprise to her!! No one else was surprised. Well, maybe equally dumb Nikolai. I seriously though he was trying to get her pregnant. But nope. Everyone is just dumb.

She Thinks He's Going To Kill Her
So, when does your heroine learn to feel comfortable in his love?
I know you have a convenient Buffered Bitch timeskip but when is it romance to believe he's about to kill you?
Can't imagine being so Unseen, so Unloved and so utterly Unfucked you could convince yourself you are in love with someone who makes you feel that way.
This book didn't once enlighten me as to who these people were, only who they didn't want to be.
What shallow depth.
Green Pilled Patriarchial Parable of Toxicity, where the Communcal Narcissist is allowed to use her body and abuse it, even in the end, rejecting her as he does so.
Can't relate to the "It's ok if he communicates his mistreatment, communication is key."
Nah, hes a cunt.
Normalise feeling loved.
Not worrying he's about to kill you.
Tripe.
Imagine not aborting this fuckers tissue.

This is not a safe read.
Nikolai meets Gwen they have sex she leaves and then he spends the next 5 years searching for her. There're a lot of unsaid things that happen in this book. Like we never know why his phone was disconnected when she kept trying to reach out to him after she found out she was pregnant. She also never tells him that she tried to reach out to him. I did not like Gwen. She kept a lot of secrets, and she very easily slept with Nikolai the second time without telling him that she had his children. She repeatedly made decisions that not only affected the well-being of her children but also the well-being of her friends. There is a scene between Nikolai and another woman giving him a BJ. He can not get it up, but he still tries to have himself pleasured by other women while he is actively looking for Gwen. That's so gross.
The book was not well written, and there were just a lot of unsaid things that made you feel like you were in the middle of a story right from the beginning. We never know what happened to Gwen's father only that he owed some people money and that she had to take care of the debt or her grandmother would die but her dad never reappeared he just vanished from the book.

Thank you Vivy for the ARC!! This book was so good. Nik and Gwen are so cute! The build of their relationship was just perfect. The perfect family. This book was such a page turner. It was a thrilling read to see how Niko and Gwen will end up. The chemistry between the characters was everything. Niko is just chefs kiss. I have a new book bf! Gwen and Niko might be my favorite couple so far!! So good!!.

So, there's this girl. Her father ends up owing a fuck ton of money to some gang leader guy. He can't pay so he runs. The debt now falls to the girl. So she ends up dropping out of college and becoming a stripper to help pay off all this debt. One night she meets a guy and learns that he is the leader of the Russian mafia. They do the deed and she leaves him in the morning because "she already has one bad guy to deal with and doesn't want another".

When there is a secret pregnancy, then it's always one of my absolute favourites to read as the anticipation of the reveal and the secret drives me crazy witnessing it all.
But this one was so much more than the reveal and the secret and the drama as we get a lot of Action in this one.
At the start, we see Gwen working in the club to pay off her father's debt to a monster.
When one such night is about to turn into something horrific, then comes her unexpected saviour with the smooth style and 𝗌𝖾𝗑𝗒 voice.
Nicolai and Gwen connect instantly and we get all the smexyiness right at the start as these two have the hottest night together.
Nico is smitten with this girl that has come out of nowhere into this life and just one date with her is enough to make him obsessed.
Somehow fate throws a twister or rather Gwen and her decisions meddle and keep Nico and her apart along with a secret that the Bratva head has no idea about.
Fast forward to some years later and Gwen is now facing bigger problems with the monster back to chase her and now there's more at stake.
But Nico's side had so much dangerous drama and secrets and wild and deadly plot twists happening that honestly had me feeling like being on a rollercoaster ride.
There's a lot happening that keeps you on the edge but the chemistry and 𝗌𝖾𝗑𝗒 times (which we get plenty😉) were definitely 🌶️🌶️🔥.
Little Mia and little Gio were so freaking cute and wish we had gotten a bit more time with them but all the moments with them were so adorable.
Kelsey and David and Taylor as Gwen's friends were so amazing and supportive.
This one is an enticing and Action-packed ride with an obsessed Bratva Head and his obsession, his Kotik, where we also get emotionally devastating times paired with a war on the horizon that puts everything and everyone in Nico's life in danger.
I have to say I was so freaking nervous and scared thinking that there might be no way out of these dangerous situations that are coming at Nico left and right.
But moreover the way we see things escalating and so unpredictable, it really scared me.
Ahh... But that epilogue was so needed and had me melting with the sweet times with the kids but also more of the 🔥 times.

Author Vivy Skys continues to capture my attention with her amazing romance books, especially the mafia romance stories she creates. Bratva King’s Secret Twins is both suspenseful and most certainly a page-turning mafia romance. I absolutely LOVED reading Bratva King’s Secret Twins, which I found to be quite entertaining and enjoyable to read. Bratva King’s Secret Twins follows the narrative of Gwen and Nikolai who are fantastically written and perfectly executed throughout the book. Gwen was drowning in her father’s debts when a gang member came to collect and nearly took her. However, Nikolai steps in and rescues her. Gwen and Nikolai had one wild night where Nikolai worshipped Gwen’s body and soul. Gwen found his touch to be gentle and rough with a dangerous edge that made her ache for more. However, Gwen eventually realizes who he is, never mind the fact that he’s a decade older than her. Nikolai Petrov is a savage mafia monster who silences his enemies permanently. I absolutely enjoyed getting to know both Gwen and Nikolai as well as witnessing their love story unfold before my eyes. I respected that Gwen wanted to protect their babies from Nikolai’s brutal world. Nikolai is a typical alpha male of a Bratva. Bratva King’s Secret Twins has a marvelous plot, fantastic characters, and an absolute amazing outcome between Gwen and Nikolai. I’m looking forward to reading more amazing books by Vivy Skys.

Nik first sees Gwen when she's dancing at Dream Palace, a club he visits when he's in Washington. Gwen first sees Nik when he saves her from Venom, one of Mason's men. Mason is the man her father owed money to, but now the debt is hers and she pays it off by dancing for tips.
There's an instant attraction between Nik and Gwen and they have one perfect night before Gwen leaves him, in order to protect him from Mason.
Nik doesn't really need to be protected from Mason, he's a Petrov, head of the Russian mafia.
Five years later Gwen is still paying off her debt but it's getting harder to avoid Mason and she needs to protect not only herself but her grandmother and Nik's twins. She runs away to New York and this is where hers and Nik's paths cross again, and they pick up their relationship, except for telling him he's a father, because she doesn't know how to reveal that truth without destroying what they're building, even though she knows she has to.
Although I did enjoy this book I kept feeling that Mason wouldn't have been any match for Nik and Gwen would have been safer telling Nik her secrets from the beginning. I also felt that Gwen would have been able to find Nik, given who he was, but then I guess there wouldn't have been a story.

This was a high action, high drama Mafia romance. It was easy to get sucked into the story, and there were three separate storyline running throughout, so I needed to pay attention to what was happening and tune the real world out for a bit. Nikolai was controlling and deadly, yet also patient when it was required. He had so many things going, requiring his attention, and worrying about family issues only heightened the risk factors. Despite his hard outter she'll, Mt heart hurt for the losses he suffered in this story. Gwen, she was a bit of inconsistent in her behaviors. Sometimes she would try to portray herself as a seductress or tease, while other times she was a naive young woman trapped in a man's world. Nadia (Nikolai's sister) had managed to bridge that divide, but Gwen wasn't raised the same way. There were times that I simply wanted to smack her (Gwen) for her choices, and for lying to Nikolai - she never tried to find him. Of course, there wouldn't have been a story at all if the law school educated lead character (supposedly intelligent) had just been honest from the start. That frusteration, the difficulty in actually following the alliances & deals being made, and the lack of conclusion regarding familial standing are what resulted in my rating of 3 🌟. The writing itself was very good, as was Nikolai's character.

The women in this book were idiots. I'm sorry to say, but they absolutely were. Gwen, running from Mason, leaves her kids with her best friend. Because of course the bad man is not going to check there first when she goes on the run! Are you kidding me? She left them in plain sight! Then, when she finally reconnects with Nikolai and learns who he is and the money he has, she doesn't turn to him. No, she keeps her secret and lies to him because she doesn't want to burden him. Are you nuts woman!? He's the father of your children with an army at his disposable so he can protect his kids. He can also pay off Mason so you don't have to keep looking over your shoulder. But no, why think logically. Then there's Nikolai's sister - his big bad right hand woman - refuses to kill the man who not only killed her mother, but now proceeds to cut up pieces of said mother and send it to his sons. WTF is wrong with you woman? She's supposed to be this bad ass woman, but she is reduced to a whining little girl when it comes to her psycho father. Nonsense!!! Of course, there's Nikolai, who had is madman father under lock and key, but he still managed to escape. The security at his penthouse was shit because how does a box containing his dead mothers hand end up in his living room? These issues are never addressed! The whole book was so infuriating!

Gwen is working as a stripper, to pay off a debt that her father left her, which is owed to a man that has been obsessed with her since high school. Bratva boss Nikolai (Nik) comes to her rescue in a back alley one night as she is close to being assaulted. The two have a lot of chemistry and spend a night full of passion together. She does not want him to be pulled into her woes so she leaves the next morning and he is left wanting her. Nik tries to see her again before he leaves town but she eventually tells him that she doesn't want anything with him.
A couple of weeks later, Gwen discovers that she is pregnant and she knows that Nik is the father because she had been a virgin when they were together. There is a large time jump and five years later, Gwen is a single mom raising their twins after having moved to avoid the debt she had been paying. After she is tracked down and her family threatened she takes drastic measures to keep everyone safe. This brings her to NYC and inadvertently into Nik’s world.
I really liked both Gwen and Nik, the twins were adorable, and there were a number of interesting side characters including Nana Rose and Gwen's lifelong best friends. I was happy that Gwen and the twins were never really alone and had people there helping them. This was a great read with plenty of action, spice, and romance.

Nikolai and Gwen. Nik is the head of his mafia family. Her father left her and her Nona with so much debt that she had to drop out of law school and works as a stripper to pay that debt off to a man shes known since school. A dangerous man who wants her. When shes attacked one night Nik saves her and they are so drawn to each other they spend a night of passion together. She leaves the next morning without a word. She pushes Nik away because she has too much baggage to invlove him. Then weeks later she has two lines to contend with. Fearing for her life and the life of her babies shes moves away from the debt. It now has been five years and she has been raising twins alone thinking shes safe. Then Mason tracks her down forcing her to run again. Thats when Nik finds her. Hes been looking for her for five years. There is so much chaos in this book it keeps your attention to the end. I found it to be entertaining and intriguing. Theres a couple things I would liked to have seen done differently but you read about their journey and see what you come away with. You will enjoy the ride.

OMG 😱 this was another Fantastic story from Vivy. Loved this book!!! It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was incredible intense. I was on the verge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Nik and Gwen the chemistry between them was steamy passion. This romance was love at first sight and it was forbidden he was the mafia boss and she was the beautiful woman who had her whole life ahead of her until that night when she saw something that she was post to see. He was mesmerizing by her beauty. The chemistry between them was sexual tension and the physical tension was intimacy and intrigue of passion from that one night stand with him. And she never thought that it will be consequences that will to her be pregnant with twins “mind blowing.” Was this the happiness that she deserved or will it be heartbreaking?

Gwen has a talent for getting herself into dangerous situations and that’s how Nik ends up saving her when she’s assaulted in an alley. Gwen thinks she’s more of a badass than she really is. Gwen isn’t too bright. Her life is full of bad decisions and her need for independence means she doesn’t listen to any advice from anybody, even people who love her like her grandmother. This becomes very apparent when she has the twins. Her bad decisions puts them in danger. And she refuses to ask for help from Nik, their father. I really never felt that she was much of a mom, at least she wasn’t written as such.
Nik had his own issues. Daddy issues, mainly. So despite his insta-lust for Gwen, his hands are full dealing with family problems with his father and siblings. And Gwen becomes just another difficult person he has to deal with. I didn’t feel these two had much of a chemistry, other than the insta-lust. Nothing that says their HEA will last.

Nikolai Petrov met Gwen at a bar where she was dancing on the pole. They had one wonderful night of sex and more sex. The next morning she left. Gwen was on the run from Mason who ran DC. She owned him money for her father . Gwen found out she was pregnant. so her grandmother to run where Mason couldn’t get to her and kids. She tried to reach Nikola but didn't find him. Five years later she dropped her kids off at her best friend Kelsey. And she live with her other friend Taylor and got a job working at another bar.. Nikolai saw her at the bar he owned , he told his manager to hire her. One night when she was working he took her for a night of sex. He couldn’t let go she might not come back. and he needed to. Later she was living with him when she decided to let know about the kids. Before she could do that she was taken.You will see him hurt because he didn’t know about the kids or that Mason was after her. Check ot what happened

I wanted to love this book, but there is just to much. Nik is great, I love him and everything about him. Gwen is where the problem lies. I don't know I just can't get over the fact that she is sleeping with her baby's father. but she won't tell him about his kids even though her and their lives are in danger. The book just drags on and on. Like it's rather annoying and it took longer to read this book because Gwen just makes bad decision and has no regard for her kids or their father. I really wish this story was written better. The spice in this story was good. But the plots are just never ending. The fact that she is staying with him and won't tell him is ridiculous. I am 70 percent finish and I am having a hard time finishing this book. UPDATE I did finish the book and the ending was much better. But it was still a hard read and I hope the next book is better. I don't think the book was horrible I just think that Gwen good have been better.

Started with promise, a chore to finish
It's rare that I give a poor review but I had to force myself to finish this one in the hope it would turn around; alas, twas not to be. So many plot holes, inconsistencies and unbelievable scenarios, it's hard to list them all. The MCs chemistry is off the charts but then derails quickly. For a smart woman, Gwen sure does and says a lot of stupid things, it was hard to like her. The whole set up with Boris doesn't work well either, no real explanation as to how he gets out of captivity. Poor research or editing: no one can get a call from the Maryland Police Department because it is not even remotely a thing. Spare yourself and don't waste your time with this book. I read another book by this author that was a bit weak in the plot and details but I stayed engaged enough to want to finish that title and decided to read another book by her. Experiment over, moving on.

A good book

Her father owes them money but since he is dead, the debt has passed on to his mother. The h will not allow her grandmother be terrorized so she pays on the debt. The h and H have a one night stand, then she leaves because ex boyfriend is hounding her. She discovers her pregnancy but can’t find the H. They reunite later but there’s all kinds of drama. At times she was really naive, the H was a Russian mob boss and could have protected her. I didn’t like the fact she didn’t tell him about the twins. The plot was very good. They finally got their HEA.

The idea that Nik can't find Gwen when she moved even though she didn't change her name is crazy. Especially when he knew he best friend's name. Her not being able to find him was slightly more believable. Though, the fact that she avoided him when she first found out she was pregnant and didn't tell him because she was worried about Mason was stupid.

Nik is head of the Bratva in NY and with his sister and brother keep their psychotic father in the basement trying to find out where their mother is buried. Gwen is a pole dancer who Nik is attracted to while in DC and is upset when she sneaks out of the hotel the next morning. She finds out she is pregnant and can't find Nik to tell him. She is paying off a debt her father owes to a local mob boss who is someone she has known since school. Their HEA takes nearly six years to happen and is full of violence, kidnappings and coming to terms with old hurts.

Gwen had to stop from her studies because her father made a lot of depts and went away.the man that he gave him the money came at her grandmother door ,he told her that if she not willing to give the money he’s going to take the girl.
She started working as a dancer in a bar .

An exceptional read. Not only relating to Mafia’s, but survival. A strategy Gwen almost perfected.
Love lost, on many aspects, but found too with many consequences.
The volume within the read was demanding. Yes we had the usual head honchos, death, abuse (physical/mental). Domination, but most importantly there was a heart beating wild here. Seeking answers, positive/negative the results were revealed.
Praise to Vivy on an exceptional read.

Good storyline
This was a good story BUT it's the same as every other book. The girl is in danger and "needs air" because she feels trapped and then escapes just to be kidnapped. She also doesn't tell the truth and it all backfires on her, just to be forgiven eventually. How about a story about a strong woman that does everything right because she understands the seriousness, but still gets kidnapped? Or how about brutal honesty that is rewarded with trust? I read a book every day when not working, but they are all the same. This storyline was a refreshing change in one aspect, but then similar in all the ways I mentioned above.

I want to give this 5 stars because The storyline is good, but I also want to give it 3 1/2 stars because there are several parts that are either unrealistic or frustrating. The FMC is smart, super sassy, and independent but can’t figure out how to get a fake ID and disappear. She doesn’t know that the sexy mafia boss could disappear the small town thug that’s threatening her? She doesn’t think leaving an old woman behind with a thug after them is a bad idea? He loves her enough to tear the world apart and she can’t ask him for $180 grand?? There are many examples that don’t add up BUT their passion is HOT and the intrigue keeps it interesting.

April 19, 2025I tried so hard, but its going to be a DNF at 40%. I was looking forward to a dark Mafia romance with a secret baby trope. But I just can’t. The FMC is sooo incredibly, beyond comprehension stupid, and the kids are just an afterthought, relegated to an eternal holiday while mommy strips to make money.
