She’s living in her parent’s basement, working at Upstairs Closet Thrift, and stuck dating men who hate lemon meringue pie and cats—heathens. Something needs to change. She just didn’t think that meant participating in a blind dating experiment to find a man she could connect with emotionally and who wouldn’t dare judge her Netflix queue.
Rhodes has loved Paige since headgear, acne, and every questionable style phase. She didn’t ditch him when his legs grew at record speed one summer, or when his dad’s stroke took longer to recover from, and he needed a shoulder to lean on, even if it did mean he had to bend over to reach it. Their history is murky with friendship, but he promised himself he wouldn’t squash an opportunity to tell her how he felt the next time she was single. Concealing his identity to compete with two other guys for her attention wasn’t what he envisioned. It’s worse than reading the negative comments on his viral stop-motion videos.
When the truth comes out, they have to decide if they would choose the person standing in front of them without the protection of a touch screen or if they’d rather put their phones on Do Not Disturb.
Christina is a lover of love who has been writing stories in her head since middle school. She also holds the titles of ‘mom’ and ‘babe’ and lives in Montana with her four children, husband, and two cats.

Read this book if you like: □ friends to lovers □ MMC has golden retriever vibes □ he falls first (and hard) □ blind date experiment
Release date: March 4th.
Thank you, Netgalley and Christina Hill, for this ARC!
Oh gosh, I truly enjoyed this book! I could not put this fantastic rom-com down! It was such a beautiful story. The MMC's crush on his best friend and how he wants to reveal his secret but doesn't dare. I loved the golden retriever vibes. Rhodes is so adorable. Now, he is boyfriend goals!
I also loved that the FMC's cat has a few chapters! Cleo's POV is so cute.
Paige, the FMC, in search for her true love through a blind dating experiment. Now that's when things get interesting! I loved her personality a lot. Seeing her grow into an independent, brilliant woman.
I did not see that cliffhanger coming, though. I could not believe the book was already done. It was bittersweet. I can't wait to read Paige and Rhodes' next adventure!
This story follows Paige and her journey to self discovery. I loved Paige so much, she loves all the little things in life like her cat, antiques, and collecting things with mushrooms. Rhodes is the ultimate golden retriever MMC, that also delivers in other areas. 😉
Both Paige and Rhodes had me laughing out loud constantly, and this includes other amazing characters along the way. This is the most epic friends to lovers, with a huge adventure and a lot self discovery on the way!
I won’t lie I definitely read these more then a few months ago and still find times that I’m thinking about Paige and Rhodes and you can’t convince me we aren’t besties.
Oh my gosh this was such a cute entertaining book. Freaking Cleocatra, omg I loved her so much. I never knew I needed a cats pov in a book until now. 🙌🏻😊 Paige finds herself single yet again after a very interesting dinner with her bf and her family. Honestly I was laughing and knew he was just not right for our girl Paige. She dodged a bullet. Rhodes her best friend also witnessed the disaster first hand and he's also relieved that it ended. Because he has feelings for Paige...but is struggling to tell her. Until an opportunity comes up..a very interesting opportunity. I loved the idea of this version of blind dating. It was simply cute. Although I knew when things were revealed it'd get a bit complicated. I just loved the friendship between Rhodes and Paige. They just fit perfectly. The way he just adores her.🥹
That freaking cliffhanger though, what ?! I wasn't expecting a cliffhanger and than it came and I was left flabbergasted. 🤣 Oh my gosh I can't wait for book 2. So excited for Paiges new adventure and to see what happens with Rhodes.
Christina Hill yet again proves why she is the ultimate queen of rom-com! PAIGE TURNER was a fun, flirty, relatable, and a true laugh-out-loud page turner (see what I did there!)
I enjoyed Paige’s inner monologue so much. I loved how she made me feel so seen as a person, while still making me smile and giggle at all the hilarious things she says.
Rhodes is a top-notch book boyfriend. He’s kind, caring, and so, so, SO down bad for his best friend. His feeling-spilling antics may not have been the most forward, but it made for an adorable rom-com that had me BEGGING for these two to figure it out and fall madly in love.
Cleocatra takes the cake for what made this story incredibly unique though. When have we EVER gotten a CAT POV?!?!
Christina Hill, you are epic, and so is this book. Thank you for an advanced copy of PAIGE TURNER! I can’t wait to dive into the second book of the series to see where these crazy kids go!
4.5/5 Quality of writing: 4 Plot development: 4 Pace: 5 Characters: 4 Enjoyability: 5 Ease of reading: 5
Were my expectations high? No. Was this still a pretty good read? Yeah. A really good reading slump buster. It was pretty hard to put down the book once I started reading. Just really easy to read. The language is not overcomplicated which I appreciated SO much as I wanted to turn my brain off. The plot is a bit predictable and I was waiting for a twist involwing Delia but that might have been a bit too obvious. I'm glad that both books in the series were released at the same time because I know what I'm reading next!
This was a cute romcom about 2 best friends, a dating experiment and an adorable cat. I loved Paige and Rhodes their friendship and banter is strong, full of banter and very natural. The ending was a little open ended and I can’t wait to see what Laige discovers about herself in book2.
What an entertaining rom com! Christina Hill has a delightful voice full of humor and love.
Paige is a super quirky, fun woman who is tired of trying to fit in. Her best friend, Rhodes, has been secretly pining for her, well, for their entire lives. After a string of disappointing flings, Paige’s coworker sets her up on a blind dating texting experiment where she tries to develop emotional connections with the chosen men before meeting them. Rhodes takes this chance to finally tell Paige how he feels.
Through it all, Paige discovers that what she needs the most is to work on her relationship with herself. She’s a super relatable character going through what every woman must face at one point in their lives—do you continue to settle for what doesn’t make you happy, or step out of your comfort zone to figure out who you truly are and what you want out of your life?
Cleocatra is an excellent feline sidekick. I loved that Christina gave her some POV chapters! Paige’s family and friends are a riot and make this rom com absolutely hilarious and a quick read.
I can’t wait to see what adventures Paige takes us on in her next story! And for Rhodes’ heart to be mended 🥲😍❤️🐈⬛
OMG!! She did it again! Another book you just can’t put down! But seriously, I hate you for that cliffhanger, Christina! Now I have to wait for book two?!
First, let me just say—I love every Christina Hill book I’ve read so far, and this one is no different.
Paige Turner had me hooked from start to finish. I was giggling so much while reading that if anyone saw me, they’d probably think I’m a little crazy. Paige is a character that almost every woman will see a little bit of herself in. She doesn’t really know who she is or what she wants, but she knows she has people who love her and will always have her back. And sometimes, that’s her problem—she’s too dependent on them.
Rhodes—oh, that man. He’s the geeky, handsome guy I’d love to have next to me. I don’t get how Paige isn’t all over him! And how has he been hiding his feelings for her for so long?! Like, come on, man, just admit it already!
The dating experiment is so cute but also risky. At times, I was like, “Hmm, I’d love to try this,” and then immediately, “Nah, I’m not a ‘texting new people’ kind of person.”
The book does a great job introducing the dating experiment, the experiment itself, and the other guys (besides Roger—I mean, Rhodes). But Dahlia, girl, where did you even find these men?! It honestly felt like she picked them on purpose just to give Rhodes a better chance.
But that ending?!?!? Come on, Christina, did you really have to do that to us?! Prepare to be shocked, disappointed, and maybe a little angry at how it ends.
As for the writing, it’s classic Christina Hill—so easy to read, the sentences just flow, not too simple but also not too complicated. I 1000% recommend it!
The writing is dry and boring and made me feel like I didn’t wanna continue. It’s a boring book with LOTS of potential. Like it could have been good…the writing was just off. Like it was sooo boring
If you're going to read this one - do yourself a favor now and purchase Paige Turner Goes To Yellowstone!
Paige is quirky and maaaaybe has a little growing up to do. Rhodes is her best friend who has been harboring feelings towards her for a while and needs to bite the bullet and tell her - but he always chickens out. After Paige's last dating disaster, their mutual friend tries to set Paige up by giving three guys her number -- one of which is Rhodes but he pretends to be someone else, Roger. All goes well until Paige starts to confuse her feelings and wants to meet Roger in person. The meeting goes ... not as planned and Paige realizes she needs to get her life together ...
Paige is so unique. Scratch that. Every character is unique. This book will capture your attention from the first page, but won't make you feel the super heavy feelings so it's perfect light reading ... plus the cat, Cleocatra, has some of her own chapters!
Okay, the ending left me wanting more. In the good way. I love Christina's ability to throw in the most random and hilarious characters while also being realistic with the struggles they all go through. Paige was quirky and fun and loveable. And Rhodes was adorable. The blind date texts were awesome and a great plot element that just made it fun and build the right amount of tension. This was a quick read that will make you glad the author released the second, longer book right after this one because you'll want to know what happens next!
This was such a fun romcom. I thought Paige and Rhodes were both well developed characters and I loved the details added to the side characters as well. They all felt like their own people.
I would’ve loved for this book to take a little more time to flesh everything out. Instead of a week where Paige pretty quickly discounts both of the other guys she’s texting, I think it would’ve been beneficial to draw that out and make the decision harder for her to make between the three. She was pretty much only focused on Roger/Rhodes after a day so there wasn’t as much at stake with Rhodes hiding who he was.

A romcom with a cat's POV? I didn't know I needed it, but I did.
Paige has found herself living in her parent's basement, working at a thrift store (where she finds AMAZING things, might I add) and dating the wrong men. Introducing a blind dating experiment where Paige will chat with 3 men she's never met (or has she?) to try and find her Mister Right without ever seeing his face.
Enter contestant number 1: Rhodes has been Paige's best friend since they were kids, but he's also been secretly in love with Paige and she has no idea.
Will Paige have the same feelings for Rhodes when he's just words in a text? How will she react to finding out he's one of her mystery men?
I absolutely adored this book. I thought the characters were extremely relatable and I absolutely love the relationship Paige has with Rhodes. This book does end on a cliffhanger, and I can't wait to see what Paige, Rhodes and most importantly Cleocatra get up to in the next one.
Thank you Victory Editing Netgalley Co-op for the ARC!
OMG. I LOVED this book. It was so cute! The character chemistry was incredible. The story keeps you wanting more. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to see what's next from the author!
I liked the premise of this book and it was very cutesy. However it was very much too detailed oriented, such as I now know the entire layout of a fictional thrift store for no apparent reason. Also the characters seem too old for how they are portrayed and there was zero reason to continue the will they, won't they in a second book between Rhodes and Paige. I probably will not read the second book but if I do it's only to see if Paige finally gets with Rhodes.

Will absolutely make this prettier but for now - CLEO 🤩
God bless great books and even greater authors like Christina who never fail to bring me to my knees from laughing so hard and kicking my feet like a child.
That cliffhanger though is and was MEAN. Off to let Yellowstone consume me brb 😍
Christina Hill is absolutely TOP TIER when it comes to ROMCOMs. If you want a cute, quick and heartwarming read - this is for you. SUCH a cute story & honestly I cannot tell you who I loved more, Cleo, Rhodes or Paige. It was so easy and comforting to be able to relate to these characters and to share laughs with them throughout the story. I couldn’t put this book down and while I was frustrated with Paige (because I’m such a softy for Rhodes) - I loved how realistic their storyline was!
This book had some elements that really worked for me and some that really didn’t. I absolutely loved the concept of three blind “dates” via texting. That premise was super cute and fun. I also love a good best friend pining for forever. Plus, some chapters are from the POV of the cat and that’s a major win.
But this book took too long to get to the blind date texting. It spent a lot of time talking about Paige’s past and her current (then ex) boyfriend. While it was a quick read overall, the first 40% felt long. I also really struggled with Paige as a character. She sounds like a teenager working through their need to never be alone despite being a grown adult who is nearly 30. It was clear that she had issues throughout this story and hadn’t dealt with them. Ultimately these challenges led to one of my least favorite things to see in a romance book…. A freaking cliffhanger.
Overall you may enjoy this book if you want something more fluffy and fun and enjoy a character who is still needing to do a lot of work on themself.
Rating: 2.5 stars rounded up to three for the cat chapters.
I received an ARC of this ebook from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. It’s weird that such a short book would leave off on a cliffhanger, forcing you to read another equally short book for the conclusion. Maybe I’ll change my opinion on book 1 after I read book 2 but right now this was a miss for me. The blind dating over text concept was interesting but it actually ended up feeling creepy and made me dislike the MMC for the dishonesty. I did count at least 3 Parks and Recreation references which I found entertaining.
What an absolute delight! I devoured PAIGE TURNER, immediately calling it Hill’s best work. The quirky and relatable nature of Paige and the down-bad hopeless romantic that is Rhodes meshed so well in this friends-to-lovers rom-com! The pining, the tension! And let us not forget THE CAT POV. 😮💨🐈 Okay, that was everything if I’m honest. Cleocatra stole the show.
Guys, I have so much to say about this book! First of all, if you are looking for a silly book with a fun cast of characters, this will scratch that itch!
The vibes: Thrift store setting Blind dates via text Best friend banter Quirky family So many parks and recreation references Three POVs - third is the cat
Paige is a serial dater, but keeps getting her heart broken. Rhodes has a huge crush on her, but she doesn't know. He promised himself he wouldn’t squash an opportunity to tell her how he felt the next time she was single. Concealing his identity to compete with two other guys for her attention wasn’t what he envisioned.
Christina created characters based on Parks and Rec characters, which I loved! Go into this one picturing Randy as Andy Dwyer and Don as Ron Swanson and you'll be a happier human. I also think the sister Constance is April-coded and Tucker the boyfriend is like Tom Haverford.
Then, imagine Donna (Delia) orchestrating a dating experiment for her friend by vetting a three guys to date Paige via text sight unseen. Is love truly blind?
Pick this up if you like: Text flirting Thrift stores Cats Best friend pining Down bad men Girl friends 30 year old FMC Short books No spice in this one, but that might pick up in the next.
It felt like she had a good time writing it! Readers, be aware that this book does not have a typical happily ever after so that means Paige and Rhodes' story isn't over! I'm picking up Paige Turner Goes to Yellowstone immediately!! I truly don't know what's going to happen, but I'm hopeful this one will have a happy ending.
Christina Hall’s Paige Turner is a delightful blend of second chances, slow burning love, and the modern dating struggles we all know too well. With a witty, self aware FMC and a sweet and super hot childhood best friend, this book delivers both humor and heart in equal measure.
Paige is relatable in every way—stuck in a rut, navigating lackluster dates, and desperate for a connection that isn’t just based on swiping right. The blind dating experiment adds a fresh and engaging hook, but what truly elevates this story is Rhodes. He’s been in love with Paige forever, and his decision to compete anonymously for her attention is equal parts romantic and nerve-wracking. Watching their relationship unfold, tangled in years of history and hidden feelings, was both exhilarating and agonizing in the best way.
Hall’s writing shines with snappy dialogue, authentic emotions, and humor. The chemistry between Paige and Rhodes is undeniable, making their eventual realization all the more satisfying. While the miscommunication trope might frustrate some, it’s handled with enough sincerity that it never feels forced.
If you love second chance romance, childhood friends to lovers, and just the right amount of chaos in a dating experiment, Paige Turner is a must read! It’s heartfelt, witty, and leaves you with the perfect bookish swoon.
Thank you to NetGalley, Christina Hall, and Hill Publishing House for the eARC of this book.
Readers are introduced to Paige who any reader can relate to - she is a young adult who is still trying to navigate life. She is stuck trying to understand what she wants in life especially in regards to the dating scene. She's tried the whole online dating where you swipe right and so she tries blind dating. In comes Rhodes, who has been in love with Paige since forever. He decides to be anonymous and pursue Paige to get her attention.
I will say that this book was slow to start with that it was hard to get into, but as you get past the first couple chapters, that's when it gets good. It was fun to watch Paige and Rhodes' relationship develop despite having years of friendship and history between them. Readers can definitely feel the heat between the two characters through their witty banter. The way Hill made Paige a witty, independent FMC with a good looking bestfriend - chef's kiss. I definitely laughed while reading this book that I did get some head turns (oops!).
This book has the right amount of tropes that any reader will fall in love with it. Second chance romance, childhood friends to lovers with just the right amount of witty banter among the characters is just perfect!
Thank you to Netgalley and Christina Hall for the eARC of this book, this is my honest review.
If you're a fan of friends-to-lovers tropes with a twist, *Paige Turner* by Christina Hill is a must-read. The chemistry between Paige and Rhodes is electric, and the slow-burn romance keeps you hooked from start to finish. But it's not just the romance that makes this book shine — Cleocatra, the cat, is a scene-stealer. Her chapters had me laughing out loud more than I expected, with her witty thoughts and quirky antics adding a layer of charm to the story.
Navigating your 30s as a single person can be tough, but Christina Hill's writing captures that struggle with humor and heart. The banter between characters is top-notch, and there's an unexpected depth to the story that makes it more than just a light rom-com. The cliffhanger at the end will leave you desperate for more, but thankfully, book two is already out and available on Kindle Unlimited, so you don't have to wait long to find out what happens next.
Overall, *Paige Turner* is a delightful read, full of humor, warmth, and a romance that’s impossible to resist. And with the sequel already out, you'll have a smooth transition into the next chapter of Paige and Rhodes' story. Highly recommend!
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Paige is itching for some change in her life. After a dramatic ending to yet another not-long-for-this-world relationship, she lets her friend send her on an unconventional dating experiment. Paige will meet three men only via text conversations, and potentially choose one to meet face-to-face. What she doesn't know is that one of these men is her lifelong best friend, Rhodes, who has been hopelessly in love with her this whole time.
🧵💖🐱🚙
This book was so unique and fun! It really felt like a 2000s rom-com at it's core and I absolutely love that. Paige is fun and quirky (if a bit clueless) and Rhodes is incredibly sweet. Their banter is top tier, it was incredible. This was definitely much shorter than I expected, and I completely blew through it. We are left on a bit of a cliffhanger which might be driving me crazy, but I'm so excited to see what happens next. If you're looking for a quick, fun, lighthearted rom-com that truly feels like you're curled up watching a movie on the sofa, this is perfect for you. Did I mention there are POV chapters from the cat?? And a gruff Ron Swanson-type boss? It's so great.
ARC Review: Paige Turner by Christina Hill ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
A romcom featuring a cat’s POV? It's a first for me!
This book was such a delightful surprise! Paige finds herself back in her parents’ basement, working at a thrift store (with some seriously great finds), and struggling in the dating world. Enter a unique blind dating experiment. She’ll text three anonymous men and try to find her perfect match without ever seeing them.
One of those contestants? Rhodes, her childhood best friend, who has secretly been in love with her for years. But without any faces involved, will Paige recognize her own heart leading her to him? And when she finds out the truth, what will she do?
I really enjoyed how relatable the characters felt, especially Paige and Rhodes. Their relationship was full of warmth, tension, and just the right amount of longing. And of course, Cleocatra stole the show in the best way possible! The story does end on a cliffhanger, which has me eagerly awaiting the next installment.
A huge thank you to Christina Hill for the ARC! I can’t wait to see where this story goes next.
Cute plot in theory, fmc is extreme and eccentric which could have been great and added to the story instead she came off as super annoying by the end. That “itch” thing felt dumb, sure I get wanting a change but seemed dramatic. Plus she realizes she brings nothing of value to relationships considering she’s an adult living in her parents basement and relies on everyone around her instead of handling her stuff like an adult and instead of fixing that so she can be with her man she thinks a road trip will help her “find herself” and become the “woman mmc deserves” which leads into the next book(which I won’t be reading) just seems like lazy writing to extend the story unnecessarily. I don’t mind eccentric sunshine characters who have had bad luck and end up in a bad spot bc of it or bad choices but this one is not that she’s just an unmotivated waste of a character. The book was semi okay, nothing to write home about, until that crappy ending then it just made me realize how poorly thought out the entire plot was. I did like Cleo’s pov tho I thought that was creative and cute.
I enjoyed Paige Turner by the end. I did hate the unresolved ending and waiting for the 2nd book, even with the warning from the author from the beginning that it would be happening. Many of the characters are beautiful, other than the best friend in this best friend to lovers will they won't they. The devoted bestie has no growth, that doesn't stop me from being hopeful for him in book 2, which I plan to read. I adore all of the side characters: the sister, the neighbor and the cat. The cat chapters are killer. There are funny stories within the story, great one liners. The first chapter teaser of book two at the end of the book left me more hopeful then the actual end of the book. I suppose the most important piece of if you are interested in this book is if you think that Tom Hank's character in Sleepless in Seattle is a liar who should get dumped or a sweet man who should be forgiven. If option one, stay away from this book. Tropes out to win: Friends to lovers, unrequited, 3rd act break up (unresolved), runaway, Last to know Triggers: mental health, Lies in relationship
Paige is living in her parent’s basement, working at Upstairs Closet Thrift, and her love life is going nowhere. She decides that all this has to change, and so she participates in a blind dating experiment. Unknown to Pagie, but Rhodes has loved Paige since they were kids. Concealing his identity to compete with two other guys for her attention was not exactly what Rhodes had planned, but when the truth comes out, they have to decide if they would choose the person standing in front of them or ignore it all. The character of Rhodes is sweet and caring, made all the more endearing as they are childhood friends. Paige is an endearing character who has struggled with her love life until she takes risks, only to find the person who was right before her. Whilst I found the miscommunication between them at times frustrating, it does help with the plot. A great read. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
