A genie with cursed wishes. An island clinging to survival. A midlife fate to die for. Ginny Smith's life has spiraled out of control. Exposing the nemesis behind the ominous peril intent on destroying her once-idyllic island sanctuary, left the forty-year-old tormented by vicious guilt. And Whispering Island's ancient magic collapsing into a dark abyss leaves Ginny trapped in the eye of a storm she was never meant to survive.
Discovering the magical shop that held her to ransom could hold the key to salvation, Ginny braves the threat of revenge for the chance to uncover the truth. But when her trusted friends are consumed by never-ending fears, not even the king of the sea, a blunt vampire slayer or a Merchant witch armed with half the island's secrets may be enough to stop the destruction.
Can Ginny stop doom descending, or is she one misstep from midlife mess to final breath?

I'm a tea-guzzling, chocolate-loving, cat enthusiast who hails from the south coast of the UK. Who's lucky enough to have two wonderful but slightly eccentric kids. When I'm not writing, you'll find me reading.
My passion for paranormal and fantasy romance grew until it exploded into my own world, which I turn into books to be enjoyed by all. Otherwise, I'd be a crazy lady talking to people in her head!
I'll be back to tell you more about my books. If you love smoking hot alpha types and sassy, kickass heroines, you'll love them.
OK, I love the characters in this book which is why I read all the way to book 6. I love Percy and Ginny, Ruby and Ziggy. And all the other others. I do feel a bit robbed that Ginny didn’t end up with anything I mean I know she said family and and all and that’s the truth. However, she didn’t have any type of power whatsoever. I would like to see how Percy managed to get her as queen of the more people with him maybe because something could happen there.
Also the Eragon and Rhett endings. Oh man. On the not so good side, this was the most haphazard wild read as in paragraph after paragraph people appeared who I didn’t know or things happen that I had no awareness of - just all over the place. It was a bit of a confusing read.
Will, I read more of her stuff. Yes probably based on the characters.
A conclusion I never saw coming! Ginny finally manages to find a way through the web of secrets and magic to a solution, a final battle, to fix this mess and finally live her life to her best ability. But it's not an easy journey. Luckily, she isn't alone. I absolutely loved this series and all it's chaos, it kept me on my toes and wanting for more!
I loved this! It twists and turns and involves you in the complicated lives of the characters, and the fate of their mysterious island home. Highly recommend!
Was excited for latest book in this series but characters would get mentioned in a scene and I wouldn’t know how they even got there… Paragraphs felt disconnected. Disappointed - decided not to stick it out after more than third of way through the book. Back to my TBR list.
