The Raven's Cryptic Clue
My name is Case… Justin Case, Termination Agent for the Tin Can Communications Company (TCC Co.).
What is a Termination Agent you ask? I am simply a contractor hired by the TCC Co. to dispatch targeted contracts. I receive discreet assignments from my handler at the TCC Co. to repossess telephone equipment no longer in service.
One day it occurred to me that I had some very amazing friends each possessing unique and remarkable talents and all endowed with strength of character and compassion. Although I am honoured to be part of a close-knit group of brothers from other mothers, I often feel like I don’t quite measure up. I have known these guys since elementary school. We have played together and fought together. We have shared countless memories, from our first awkward school dances to late-night study sessions and epic summer adventures. We have been there for each other through thick and thin, celebrating each other’s victories and providing support during tough times. Our bond is unbreakable, forged through years of shared experiences and mutual respect. Whether we are laughing over old jokes or tackling new challenges, I know I can always count on my brothers. They are not just friends; they are family.
We must not forget the inimitable Notcho Dog, a seasoned retriever with a penchant for solving mysteries! She is a loyal and intelligent companion with the playfulness of a Labrador and the protective instincts of a German shepherd. Her energetic and friendly nature makes her a joy to be around, while her sharp mind and alertness ensure she is always on alert for impending danger. Notcho Dog has a nose for trouble and a knack for solving mysteries.
I have tales to tell where legend and myth meet reality so incredible I’m not certain that even I believe them. Join my band of brothers and me as we investigate murders in locked rooms, mysterious disappearances, and hunt for lost treasure.

Justin is a relatable and engaging narrator — a “Termination Agent” who somehow finds himself wrapped up in far more than simple repossessions. His voice is witty, self-aware, and full of warmth, especially when he speaks about his lifelong friends and their unbreakable brotherhood. The camaraderie between the group adds real heart to the story and makes you want to be part of their circle.

Following the success of “The Curious Case of the Vanishing Victims”, this book deals with a sudden and unexpected death and the subsequent search to uncover Solomon's golden menorah. There is danger around every corner and like peeling an onion, Terry unravels the case and reveals hidden clues that keep the reader engaged and interested until the very thrilling end.

The author has written a mystery of intersecting threads which carefully holds the attention of the reader until the end when all is explained. But it doesn’t end there as there is a final mystery that might just lead to another book. This book is the second in the series of Justin Case Mysteries and I do hope there will be another. It is well worth 5 Stars, but certain mis-editing features unfortunately held it back.

Justin Case is back for more good clean fun! The Raven’s Cryptic Clue is just the ticket for fans of old-school adventure, a great ride with an appealing cast readers will root for every step of the way. Lively, vivid, and full of delightful inside references classic mystery fans will love, it’s another bang-up installment in this wonderful series. Bring on the next case!

Quite enjoyed the second installment in the Justin Case Mysteries. Love Justin's antics and the way he views the case. Very well-developed characters made this book a great read.
There were enough twists and turns, and red herring to keep me guessing until the very end.
I'm looking forward to the next "adventures" in Justin's life.
Highly recommend this author and his books!
