Spice's Halloween

The RBMC Camden Chapter has lost a lot over the last ten years. One woman’s lies destroyed a family and the trust they had. The truth came out, and the club was left reeling at the horrendous lies a bitter ex-old lady had told.
The family are putting themselves back together, but the past is always in their present. Iona remembers family holidays, but they’re not like they used to be. There are no celebrations together anymore. As Iona makes a statement, Warden indulges her wish of a family Christmas together.
That sets Spice off on a mission. He’s an Old Timer and has years of experience at being sneaky. Spice remembers some great holidays with a lot of fun and laughter. Iona wants Christmas, fine. Spice wants Halloween. Only how does he accomplish his goal without the rest of the club finding out?
Not an easy task when half the club are psychic. Spice accepts the challenge head-on and taps into the darkest depths of his mind. And this Old Timer isn’t above using emotional blackmail to mislead everyone. Throw in his devious wife Lindy, and this Halloween was going to be one to remember.

I was born in 1974 in Dagenham, Essex, England! I moved out of Essex in 2002 and moved to South Yorkshire and then settled in Derbyshire in 2005.

I've got four sons, one daughter and seven cats! I'm still working out who is more trouble, the children or cats! My children and I love cooking together, movie nights and music.

I've written stories ever since I was thirteen but I never had the courage to publish one before. But we all know the famous song... This is me, from the Greatest Showman. It gave me courage to Indie publish and be myself! Never under estimate the power of a good song!

My favourite holiday is Halloween and I'm known as the crazy lady in my street when Halloween hits! My love of Halloween even carries over to Christmas when, alongside my big "normal" tree I also have a Jack Skeleton tree!

My favourite movies vary, Star Wars, LOTR, Pirate Movie, Amazing Mr Blunden, Phantom of the Opera, Memphis Belle., finally Olympus/London has Fallen. Music depends on my mood, country, pop, classical, even bagpipes!

Spooky season

What a perfect story for this time of year! Spice's Halloween is so well written that you can actually picture the shenanigans when reading! I was laughing so hard in the cemetery! Thank you, Elizabeth for making this a fun, spooky read!

More of a backstory

It’s a quick read of how Spice and Lindy met. It does go

Spice is an old timer of the Royal Bastards MC. His club has gone through some recent changes that has brought chaos and distance in the club. He intends to try and mend the club by using his favorite holiday, Halloween.
I really enjoyed this novella. It was just in time for the Halloween season. I love how we saw the past and learned of the relationship of the club members and of Spice’s and Lindy’s relationship.
Spice is so protective of Lindy. He sees that she is in trouble and goes out of his way to ensure that she is safe.
Lindy is a strong force to be reckon with and it takes a strong man to tame her.
Love all the relationships in this one and see how the club may be starting to heal from the betrayal it’s recently known.

This is Book 1.5 of The Royal Bastards, Camden ME, series. It should be read after the first book but can be read as a stand-alone book without knowing all the background from the first book. This is definitely a great book. If you love Halloween, then this will be right up your alley. This book starts out telling us about how Spice and his Old Lady, Lindy, get together. It goes back and forth between the past and the present as the story is told. I can’t tell you much about what happens in the book because it all explains the build up to the Halloween portion of the book which is awesome! It involves digging up a dead body from one part of the cemetery while in another part of the cemetery we have a Ouija board. And we all know that you shouldn’t play with a Ouija board because terrible things can happen, right? Right! So, you need to read the book to find out what happened to all the Club on Halloween night! Sometimes when I read the Halloween books this author writes, I wonder about her diabolical mind and how she can come up with these ideas. She’s awesome! Now to wait for her next book in the series which has no way to beat this one.

While this one was short, it did a good job of showing us Spice and Lindy's history, along with events for the MC in the present. I hated the events that happened to get Spice and Lindy together, even as I laughed as some, such as the reading/sharing of the black book, but loved that after everything these two were able to build a solid relationship that has lasted for 35 years. Even better was how they were still on the same page and the activities they planned (on the down low) for the club this Halloween. It was fun to see them unfold and how everyone in the club was scared spitless. But you know Spice is right, they will be talking about this fondly, for years to come, in the not too distant future.

Spook-tacular

This Spook-tacular novella features a fantastic storyline with action, twists, and secrets. Spice is totally obsessed with and devoted to Lindy, who is strong and resilient, and you find out about their past and how they became such an epic couple. The novella is short, sexy, sweet, and funny, with interactions from multiple POVs and a paranormal twist. . I can't believe the lengths that Spice & Lindy went to scare the club on Halloween, between the zombies, the witch, the Ouija board, and other terrifying things they definitely were in for the freight of their lives. It definitely should come with a warning to not eat or drink anything unless you want to choke from laughing so hard. I definitely can't wait for the next one to come out. 🎃🖤

If you love Halloween, you will absolutely love this book. This was such a fun read. It tells how Spice and Lindy got together. Lindy's ex was a complete and utter dick, pun intended. You'll understand when you read the book. Anyway, it was nice to see how they got together. Lindy is funny and a very strong woman. Spice is head over heels in love with her right from the start. But then the hijinks begins, and you can't help but laugh out loud. My only complaint is that it wasn't longer. Happy reading.

This book was a great read, especially for Halloween geeks. It weaves the backstory of Spice and his partner, Lindy, while alternating between past and present. I can't reveal too much without spoiling the suspense, but the buildup to the Halloween segment is thrilling, involving grave-digging and a Ouija board - an element that, as we know, canous outcomes. You'll want to read it to discover what unfolds for the club on Halloween night! The author's imagination is truly impressive, leaving me eager for the next installment in the series, which will be hard to top.

Spice's Halloween is fantastic! I love the back and forth between the past and present as we learn all about Spice and Lindy. Then we get to the good stuff! HALLOWEEN... I laughed so freakin hard at Spice and Lindy's antics! They pulled off the ultimate Halloween. The Royal Bastards were still themselves. We had action, drama, chaos and excitement but, we also got a great glimpse into the lighter side of this Clubs life. What a great, refreshing, quick read!

This is one spicy Halloween!

Read, read, this novella is filled with spice and great Halloween moments that only Harris can deliver. The flashbacks are informative and provide answers to questions long held to be exposed in a fuel filled funny revenge seeking way that only Lindy could provide. You will enjoy this story, I promise you that! So, jump on board and let our RBMC universe be expaned.

Loved it

This was so good to see the originals of the club when they were younger but it also brought some if the fun that rage has with there group it was so funny that they all freaked in the cemetery the women have so ,ich fun torturing the men love the back story of Lindy and spice such a good romance to start with can't wait for ,pre of this series

Ghoulishly Good!

Really fun book that had me laughing. After the seriousness of Warden, book one of the series, it was a great change up. The book bounces back and forth from the present to the past when Spice and Lindy got together. In the last chapters, Harris unleashes her love of Halloween and all things scary. Spice, Fists, and Pipe give their brothers a Halloween to remember.

This novella was about bringing joy back to the Royal Bastards MC. The joy left the club when Warden’s blood family abandoned him. No holidays were celebrated after that. Now Warden had his family back so Spice decided to scare the whole MC on Halloween. And he certainly did.

Great read

OMG, I want to celebrate Halloween next year with the Royal Bastards in Camden, Maine. Spice and the boys sound like so much fun. It was nice to have a little background on them along with all the high jinks and fun. Can't wait to read more about this Chapter of the Royal Bastards!

Oh my what a hoot. Elizabeth always writes a good Halloween story and this one did not disappoint I was crying with laughter and cringing all at the same time 🤣I loved that we got to know Lindy and Spices’s story in this book as well. As always well written great story and fabulous caricatures. Can’t wait to read the next in the series.

Enjoyed but started slow

It took a bit to grab me in. However, once I got into it I enjoyed it. Really enjoyed the part where Lindy confronted David. That was hilarious. The surprise that Lindy and Spice set up for Halloween was awesome.

Page turner....
