There's no one way to explain what we go through when tragedy strikes. While this story does contain romance and some steam, I felt this book was more about a woman's personal journey in overcoming something she never expected to happen in her life and finding a way to both hold onto memories as well as move on. Deep with emotions, V is an incredible story of loss and love. An excellent debut book.
This story is riveting and deeply emotional. The story telling is throughly enjoyable and hints at the big moments without being overly revealing. This book is an absolute work of art and I look forward to more novels from this wonderful author.
“V” is a story about Veronica experiences so much trauma in one life time that the only way to be able to deal with it all is to leave it all behind and act like the nothing happen. Her mental health has deteriorated so severely that she would go days to months later in a catatonic state.
Her family tried in numerous occasions to find ways to come but the intervention ended up doing the exact opposite and she ran away to Europe so that her mental health was not affected.
There she ends up reconnecting with the Charlie. They reconnect but they both carry past wounds. Wounds that cause some tension and at one point Miss understandings.
When it comes to the point that Veronica tells Charlie it is truly the most heartbreaking 💔 story in a book that have read in a book.
Overall, this book for me was between a 3.5 and 4 ⭐️ read. The story line didn’t really keep my interest throughout the first half of the book. However, once I got into 65% of the book I couldn’t put it down. I am glad the I pushed through and I got to understand Veronica’s journey and that she got a happy ending she truly deserved.
Ronnie is a woman who has suffered through more trauma than could seem humanly possible. She is is barely coping running from the past till she Meets Charlie a Brit that she finds herself running to. This book will keep you turning the pages with the spice. A beautiful story about healing.
