J’ai adoré !! Un premier tome incroyable avec un personnage principal tellement intéressant. Il reste touchant avec ses parents et calculateur avec le reste… j’adore !

This volume clearly served as an introduction for the characters and the plot but it was still compelling and I’m intrigued to see how the rest of the story goes.

Nouvelle série webtoon découverte par hasard lors de recherches d’occasions. Comme j’apprécie beaucoup les récits de réincarnation ou retour dans le temps avec une vengeance derrière, je me suis donc laissée tenter. C’est aussi une occasion d’avoir une autre série de chez Kotoon, car je n’avais que l’impérieux destin du Dr. Elise jusqu’à présent.
Notre protagoniste travaillait pour une grande firme de Corée du Sud, il était un peu l’homme à tout faire (côté illégal). Il connaissait personnellement chaque membre de la famille et faisait donc toutes leurs basses besognes. Il faisait tout pour leur plaire, dans le but d’avoir une promotion, mais manque de bol, ceux qui traînent du côté sombre dans ce genre de société, ne peuvent finir qu’à un seul endroit… Evidemment, le premier sentiment que ressent Yun est la colère, il se rend vite compte que ses efforts étaient vains. Mais la route ne semble pas s’arrêter ici pour lui, puisqu’il retourne dans le passé et change également de corps ! Désormais dans le corps de Dojun l’un des petits-fils du patron et commence à préparer sa vengeance. Il veut tout prendre à ceux qui lui ont tout pris, œil pour œil, dents pour dents. Il a conservé tous ses souvenirs et ses connaissances de son ancienne vie, tout cela lui sera très utiles, au moins pour ses premiers coups. Toutefois, il va devoir s’armer de patience et de malice, car il a pris le corps d’un paria de la famille et surtout, il est redevenu un enfant ! Même en ayant des coups d’avances, il n’a donc pas vraiment d’alliés et de puissance pour l’instant, mais ça pourrait très vite changer s’il continue ainsi. À moins qu’on ne lui coupe l’herbe sous le pied avant, en voyant ça monté fulgurante.
Bien sûr, il est aussi allé revoir son ancienne famille pour s’assurer qu’ils allaient bien (c’est psychologique et normal selon moi). Je me demande s’il gardera un certain lien avec eux, les aidera etc… Comme ils ont une fille et non un garçon, il pourrait même l’épouser, mais je trouverais ça trop étrange pour le coup et limite moralement parlant. Il semble tenir aussi à sa nouvelle famille, il se rend compte qu’ils sont plus humains que les autres membres « non parias » et souhaite donc les aider également. Son bon cœur est donc toujours présent malgré cette envie de vengeance, il sait faire la différence entre ceux qui sont responsables et ceux qui sont innocents. La partie scolaire n’est pas montrée dans le webtoon, il y a juste un passage où il indique qu’il n’a pas d’amis. Au final l’intrigue se concentre donc uniquement sur son projet de vengeance et son ascension sociale. C’est un peu logique, il ne peut pas vraiment se faire d’alliés au sein de l’école (à moins de croiser un futur génie dont il aurait connaissance). J’imagine que l’on aura aussi des sauts dans le temps pour le faire grandir, reste à savoir combien au total.

[This review is for the comic up to chapter 16oish on Webtoon, then the official novel translation on Wattpad for the rest of the story (chapters 200ish-326).]
This was a really fun read. Aside from the initial reincarnation/rebirth of a company fixer/grunt into the youngest grandson of a corporate magnate, it's basically just a big old dramatic fight over inheritance where the MC has plenty of advantages, but still faces an uphill battle to win the throne. His knowledge of the future lets him amass enormous wealth, but he's still got to use it wisely to find influence and power to rival that of his crafty, nasty family.
My favourite part of this story is the nuance given to the major characters, Dojun and his grandfather. They've got a really great relationship, and their characters are flawed but still interesting and sympathetic. Dojun's no angel, and his grandfather is an out-and-out villain with a soft spot for him. The romance subplot was also suuuper subtle, but so fun because of that. The rare appearances of Dojun's love life were always highlights. The rest of the family is nuanced in the sense that Dojun has allies and enemies, but all of his enemies are universally stupid and corrupt. It would have been more interesting if it felt like there was someone else he could genuinely compete with.
The art is fine - nothing to write home about but good enough to sell the story. Notably, if I'd started this story just as a novel, I'm not sure I would have finished it because it's less engaging without faces for all the names; but starting with the webcomic was a good enough hook to make me go searching for the webnovel so that I could read the end of the story.
Overall, this was a great read, and quite unique for a webnovel/comic in restricting itself so strictly to a real-world business drama setting. There were times when I couldn't be bothered to get into the nitty-gritty of all the finances, but it seemed well-researched and plausible for Dojun to become the richest person alive if he remembered all the big events from his previous life.

Not a bad start, but I feel this volume is almost exclusively setting up the groundwork for the plot to come (which is fine if the plot of the following volumes delivers, ofc), but imo, for this volume specifically, it was a bit long and tedious to read through. I am still intrigued to see the plot and characters develop more in future volumes; there was some hint at potential future plot points that seemed interesting, so I'll give the next volumes a try if I can get my hands on them.
There is a lot of talks about corporate stuff, investments, shares, etc., so if you're not into that, I don't think you'll like this one, but if you are: enjoy your Reincarnated as the Wolf of Wall Street manhwa!

Цікава історія ще одного шансу, яким скористалися (і якого ніколи не буде в реальності). По багатому, емоційно, агресивно - так що мотивує. З мінусів - крім двох трьох, мало прописані персонажі, надміру гіперболізовані сюжети які й викликають залежність та відсутність перешкод - герой просто отримує все що забажає. Дід там зажигає
