A comfortable tale about a young girl who struggled with hurt words and finds solace and emotion management with her grandma. Colourful pictures and the characters' reactions are easy to see. Grandma takes a therapist's approach to help Kat through, including creating pictures and burn journaling. Some of the words and concepts may be a challenge for a young reader, so an adult may need to help the listener along, and Kate never lets Jack know her feelings. Jack was kinda snubbed, whether deserved or not, but I think some kind of attempt to resolve would've been nice to see. Overall, one approach to handle being sad over words.
