Veterinarian Darcy Jackson and her family run a small but lucrative hobby farm, raising alpacas and sheltering abused animals in Harmony Valley, a coastal ranching and agricultural community.

One foggy night while Darcy is returning home after a call, she veers off the road to avoid hitting a strange creature in the road and crashes her truck.

Leroy Malek and his son, Dylan have been harboring a well-kept secret for years raising and caring for hybrids. When the most powerful man in the region learns of their existence and wants to use the big cats to scare farmers and ranchers off of their land, the Maleks are forced to make a deal with the devil.

Now it is up to Sheriff Hoyt Stevens and his deputy Ward Prescott with the help of Chelsea Brennan, a wildlife conservation officer to foil the plan before the valley runs red with blood.

Okay!

I liked the overall book. Unfortunately for me, I guess the grammar was horrible. Sometimes I had to read some of the sentences 2 or 3 times until I could comprehend what was being said. This really makes it difficult to get into the story. Real shame because it was a good story line.

If you love wild animals, you will like this book. It is about a greedy rich man
who will do anything to own this whole valley. He is willing to steal a man's hybrid cats
To terrify everyone to move out and sell him their property to him. WELL WORTH READING

A very different type of story for me to read. I have enjoyed reading this author 's books because his stories are always different.

Hybrids gone wild!

I love a well written creature thriller and Gerry Griffiths delivers every time. Interesting characters, nasty villains and incredible creatures combine for a very entertaining read.

I loved the characters and the story was scary at first but I love animals and it was so fascinating. I couldn't put it down until the end. I can't wait for the next book.

Decent book. Loved the storyline and genre. Only complaint was, I felt like it was very predictable at times. There are some grammatical errors but nothing I couldn’t get past. Will be reading more from Gerry Griffiths.

Good book. An unknown animal attacks and kills a ranchers prized bull. After other incidents the sheriff is having a hard time finding the culprits. The beasts are different than you'd expect.

Hybrids are usually put down! In this book the main character hybrid s were not put down! Enjoyed this book try it!
