This was the first time I had read Jenni Dewitt. This book is the second book in the series. I have not read the first. It can be read as a standalone or in order.

The cursed town is devoid of all light except some candles. The candles can only be held by the people who have deep faith. Heaven vs. Hell is explored in this action-packed story.

An action packed read. Evil has invaded the earth absorbing all the light. This is a trial by God. The kids are covered by God's guardian angels and warfare angels using the word of God to defeat the attacks.

Maybe just a nice story to some, but to me, a reminder that I am never alone. We are never alone. Jesus is always there if we acknowledge and ask. I enjoyed the book. In fact, I read it twice and will probably read it again and again. It made me think of those in my past and present and how we all have demons to combat and that with help, we can.
