This was heartbreaking! Still a ton of drama, but at least things are getting small resolutions... I feel terrible for all the characters - the author is a sadist and has decided to torture the already abused and tormented characters... I have to jump straight into the next one, I have no choice...

It's hard to review this book alone as I read it all in one night with the last book in the series. But, for sake of trying I will say that this book made me cry so many times. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Von was much more present and while I wasn't rooting for him due to his penchant for running (and my love of Finn) I actually came around and decided to love him too. That's a rare feat to turn a love triangle into one in my mind as well. I'm normally steadily in the corner of the guy that won't win because he's the one that's making all the sacrifices and wants it the most. The girl tends to pick the runner (and usually he doesn't redeem himself). So good job on that Ms. Twomey!

This book definitely took a dark turn, but it made the story much more enthralling. There's a great deal of bad in the life of October and those that surround her but the incredible sadness really gives you people to root for.

I feel like a broken record. But EVERY time I read the next book in the series I think things can't possibly get harder. That there can't possibly be more loss, more twists, more surprises. And every time I'm dumbfounded!
This had to be the hardest book in this series for poor Mary to write. But man did she knock it out of the park. I have no doubts she cried writing it. Almost as bad as I cried reading it? Maybe.
I'm in love and invested in each of these characters and am so looking forward to book 8. But how October continues on is beyond me. And she does it so selflessly amidst all the negativity, bad luck, death and loss around her. Still, she soldiers on. I'm still reeling after Tease. Brace yourself. This book is intense!

Holy cow does this author know how to pull the emotions of a person and make them feel like they are on a roller coaster ride of emotion with this read. We find out more about the McCray family background and get a more in depth look at October and Terrance relationship. I am in a hurry to read the next book but I am so emotionally drained from this read that I will have to take a day to get back in the reading frame of mind.

A quote from Terraway Book 7 - "Tease"

“Man, your mood swings are hard to follow.”

“That’s good. Now call me fat or something, so I don’t want to break down and sob whenever you’re around because I know you’ll be good to me. Be mean to me or I’ll cry all over you, I threatened.”

Danny chuckled at my logic. “I’m not calling you fat.”

“Call me fat or I’ll cry right now, I’ll do it Danny. I’ve got a bucket of tears on standby.”

“Okay, fine, you’re as fat as a cow. You should start auditions to become a sumo wrestler. Now do you feel better?”

Mariang entered the kitchen at the tail end of our exchange. “Danny! October is not fat! She pregnant and she’s carrying the baby like a graceful lady of dignity. Don’t ever say anything like that to her.” She flitted over and hugged me, forcing me to hold my breath so I didn’t dissolve into tears at her tender affection. “You’re are not fat. You’re perfect. You’re absolutely perfect.”

Danny sputtered. “But I…I didn’t mean…She made me do it! I give up!” He threw out his hands in exasperation. “Now, I’m taking all the bloody popcorn, so make your own bowl fatty!”

A laugh burst out of me, unbidden, as Mariang ramped up a rant to put Danny in his place. It wasn’t perfect, but these were my people, for better or worse.’

Continuing with the electrifying escapades of Lady October Grace, the Omen for Terraway in Book 7 “Tease,” Astounding Author, Ms. Mary E. Twomey, fashions one surprise after another for the reader! This story streams sinuously as we eagerly encounter each character challenging their existence with authentic approaches. I never reveal plot points or spoilers, Darling Readers, so you can experience the bliss and curiosities yourself!

I gave this book five (5) stars as I ENDURE as a DEAREST DEVOTEE of this series and I mightily urge you, Bodacious Bibliophile, to uncover why – Please add this book to your library. Voluntary review of advance reader copy; I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the publisher.

JUST WOW.

This was the longest read for me out of the Terraway books (still only took just over 2 days) but I had to keep putting it down, remember how to breath and then come back to our group of worn out heroes.

The swing from happiness to utter destruction happens to often for October and I just want to take her and Von and let them live forever in their magic garden full of swirling colours, and the sound of bells.
My heart broke. Shattered for them and their 'odd little family'

Then life returns to normal, you think its all good, they will be ok now, they can get married and continue keeping Terraway safe. Nope big fat just not going to happen.

I read the last few chapters in a daze, not really sure I was reading the right story.

Twomey is a wordsmith toying with emotions, in such a short space of time we have loved and despised all the main players and then to end this book in such tragedy. Two very big thumbs up for a fantastic series. It is with apprehension that I delve into the final instalment.

Wow. I mean this one was probably the most heartbreaking book of them all. Poor October continues to suffer and suffer in multiple different ways. She made me tear up a lot and finally cry in some parts. Honestly tons of heart wrenching moments in this one, so grab a box of tissues before u start.

All characters are still pretty amazing and still a ton of character development, I dont even know how the author does it. I'm still not a fan of Von and I think she could definitely do better, i.e. Finn. Yes I'm still team Finn since he took her to his home (forgot which book that is).

I'm very excited to finally be done with this series because after book 6 I started getting tired of Von and a little tired of October. Anyways, Happy reads eveyone!
I'm off to read the final book!

I was spoiled with this book before I even started it (spoilers within)

The book opened to the book cover instead of chapter 1, so as I was turning the pages I saw the title of the preview chapter of the next book. I didn’t do it intentionally, but having what the topic of what will happen in the chapter be the title of the chapter is lame. It detracts from the story, lets you know ahead of what’s happening what will happen.

So I go into this book knowing Mariang is going to die. Because chapter 1 of the next book is titled Mariang’s Funeral.

This made the book less enjoyable, less able to enjoy the moments with Danny and Mariang.

This entire series, and more specifically this book is such a downer. Nothing pleasant has happened for October, it’s constant one after the other of just her getting pummeled. What’s the point of this book? How many people need to die? Can she get a win?

This is sooooooooooo not a reverse harem and I seriously wish it was never marked as such. Having the relationships be a possibility but having October be adamant about a monogamous relationship is not what a Reverse Harem looks like. A reverse harem works toward becoming a harem over time, not stringing you along for 7+ books.

The entire premise of Terraway is that October is the Omen who needs to reap souls so they don’t die. Rather than let her do that she’s kidnapped, tortured, harmed, people have died over and over and over. Yet she hasn’t gotten a win.

Von still leaves all the time. Like to the point that I don’t even understand WHY October continues to give him a chance. I’m so over his behavior and her allowing his excuses to be ok and allow her to get over it. I want to see her stay mad at Von, at Mason, at Danny at anyone. October never gets angry for long or stands up for herself. It drives me nuts. I’m now only reading the series to see how this goes, but I literally took forever to finish this book.

It’s becoming more and more painful to read, in terms of Von continually walking out, on no one really being there for her, on there being no vindication for all the crap she’s gone through. It’s been 7 books and I feel worse off than when we started in book 1 and book 1 wasn’t sunshine’s and rainbows either.

October and Von have had their share of problems trying to figure out their feels toward each other. But, they're both excited about the prospect of including a baby in their lives. This story becomes more intense with every awful surprise and every unforeseen situation that further complicates the desired outcome. It's a real roller coaster for your emotions and a true shock to your senses just trying to hang on and get through the worst experiences October and her family have to endure in order to survive another day. DRAMA AND EXCITEMENT IN EVERY WORD!!!!!

I couldn't get enough of this series!!! Just finished binge reading all 9.

The story was so captivating and the characters were people you honestly felt connected to. It's not often that you really get sucked in the world an author creates like I did for Terraway.

I think my favorite thing about the whole series is that you never know what is going to come around the corner. Surprises left and right. You think you know which way the story is headed and it veers off.

I'm going to miss girl October and all the men. 🥰

I have a love hate relationship with this book. If you’re like me you hate Von and want him gonnne. I kept hoping throughout the series that she would find a way to somehow reawaken a new Puller but alas, that never happens. Hate the ending of the series but you can read all about that in my last review on book 8.

One more to go

This round, I feel like this story started to lose some of it's steam. It rallied at the end, and pulled out enough interest, that you just have to finish the whole thing off now. It starts with one tragedy, and ends with another. The emotional parts were easy to feel, they were that well written .

Team Finn

I'm all about Finn. Reality is Von with all his flaws but a girl wants fantasy with the guy being strong enough to handle all her quirks, protect, being powerful, commanding and gentle.

The newest installment of the Terraway series is full of action and surprises! Just when you think you've figured out what will happen next, Mary Twomey tosses you a curve ball. I love the development of her characters, and the unpredictability of the plot is fantastic. This one will definitely keep you on your toes!
