Pursuing Holiness is a new book and small group resource by General Superintendent David K. Bernard developed from In Search of Holiness and Practical Holiness.

The Bible calls followers of Christ to a life of holiness and teaches its necessity (Hebrews 12:14). We heed this call in order to please God, for we belong to Him; to communicate Christ to others; and to benefit ourselves, both now and for eternity. But what does it mean to pursue holiness as Christians in contemporary culture?

Pursuing Holiness provides biblical and practical direction on how to live a holy life in worship to our loving God.

This is a great practical resource! It contains scriptures and examples of why we believe in certain principles and how they tie back to scripture. Keep in mind this is commentary and not bible so there will be certain convictions he has you may not. This book doesn’t contain a plot so recognize it as a scriptural study resource and not a story. Would recommend to anyone seeking to learn more about biblical holiness! 🫶🏻

A great study guide for a necessary subject. It is not a quick read so be prepared to have your notebook ready. Bro Bernard lays out the principles of holiness clearly with precise scriptures to make the subject very clear for the reader. Actually I consider this to be more of a study guide. A necessary book for one’s Christian library. Definitely a 5*
